I had the opposite problem, I started checking around 7AM EST and every dang store in the state said "Unavailable". Considering this is a major 1st party Nintendo title, less than a year out, I find it hard to believe that it'd be completely out of stock in most places. Anyways, I kept refreshing and around 10:30 about half the stores nearest to my zip code suddenly had them available for in store pickup, I just grabbed mine with my RZ points with no further problems.

I did ask the cashier about it and she said she had no idea why it said they were out, they had like 7 copies on the 3DS shelf and god knows what they had in the back. I guess the moral is you should probably just look up the number of a local store and call/ask, don't trust the website.

Sucks about the shipping not working, but considering they are stacking the B2G1 on top of this I'd guess hoarders cleaned it out pretty quickly

I was at Best Buy before opening for some other business. I wasn't expecting much since the website listed it as "Unavailable" at this location. I walked straight to the 3DS section and there were two copies left. I grabbed one and some dude behind me got the other. There were no tags or signage listed so he must be a CAG or Slick Dealer to have known about the deal too.

Sad thing is I haven't owned a Nintendo system since the NES and have no real plans on buying a 3DS anytime soon. Only way I'll give in is if on the next redesign they integrate the Circle Pad Pro.

Still on the fence about picking this up. Based on reviews I've read the controls seem kinda jacked. I'm thinking it might be as awkward (to me) as Metroid Prime Hunters; even after taping a quarter to the face buttons to "simulate" a second analog lol.

It's gonna be another year at least, and I doubt they'll do it even then. Honestly, if they had any intention of doing it, they would have with 3DS XL. It would be such a mistake to divide the userbase like that (especially considering how hard CPP is to find, and the fact that it's a GS exclusive), and the longer they wait the worse it will be if they do release a revision that major.

Don't trust the online stock locator. If there's 3 or less, it will say Unavailable on the website. If you get there and there are indeed sold out, ask them to do an OMS order. This means the game will be coming from their warehouse or another store.

I thought this was true, but for example yesterday it showed "Available" for Witcher 2 so we went to the store and they did have it, but only two copies.

So sometimes the online stock checker is correct right down to the last copy. It is hit or miss, but if you have a trip to the store or it is close to you it never hurts to check.

Mine also showed unavailable for Rayman Origins a few weeks back but I found one lone copy in the store

More likely the online stock tracking just hadn't updated to reflect the copies snagged for in-store pick up or grabbed by people in the store between when you looked and when you got there. Either that, or someone called and asked to put one or two on hold (they aren't supposed to technically for sales like this but it happens), but typically the online stock does show unavailable if 2 or less in store for everything but pre-owned games (pre-owned seems to show stock even if only 1 copy is in store).

So I get to the store, which happens to be closing and everything is 20% off. I grab a copy of pokemon rumble blast because no $19.99 game I wanted is in stock. I walk up and explain that I had an instore pick up but would like to cancel them and just buy them in one transaction here (explaining why). The girl just looks completely dumbfounded and says she can't do returns because they are closing. I look at her and equally dumbounded say, "I haven't picked it up yet, so it isn't a return, I'm canceling my order." She looks at me like a deer in headlights, I then tell her that there were two other copies on the shelf, I am going to just go get them, purchase them and Rumble Blast with her and then call and cancel my online orders. This she understood. :lol:

Was a nice bonus though that the 20% was reflected in the prices. Got 2 KI's and Pokemon Rumble Blast for $46 after tax.

Great, so now it's back in stock but the B2G1 no longer applies. Screw it. I have almost two dozen unplayed 3DS games. I can wait until this one turns up for $10 without a hassle.

I picked this game up at launch for the 29.99 price tag. So worth the full price. It's a steal at 15 bucks. Easily one of the best 3ds games available.

The gameplay is longgggg! Tons of weapons and upgrades but the menu system is a little hard to figure out when combining weapons and making them better. I'm still working on beating the game honestly.

Then you have the whole multiplayer aspect which is great. Tons of replay value!!!

Don't even bother waiting for this to drop to 10. Just pick it up at the 15 dollar price. You will not regret. Fun, fun game and it looks amazing in 3D.

It's back to being eligible for the B2G1 sale. Went all the way through the checkout process till the submit order page. Didn't get it though since there isn't any other titles I'd want in the price range to maximize savings.
