When are they available?
It's random and can happen during any day of the week. Usually starts around 1:00 AM EST to 1:30 AM EST.

Is it the same price in store?
Yes.

Will Amazon price match?
It depends on if enough people alert them to the deal and if Best Buy still have stock available for shipping.

How long are these deals available?
For up to 24 hours or until the item sells out.

Will Best Buy price match a DotD item I already purchased?
No. All Deal of the Day products are of Limited Quantities and are excluded from the Best Buy Price Match Guarantee.
(Official policy of Best Buy but depending on the customer service rep handling the price match you might still be able to get it done.)

Looks like Red Dead Redemption GOTY is one of the deals of the day. Still doesn't show how much they are going to be though. I'll bite on an XBOX 360 copy if it's $14.99 or less.

I have the vanilla RDR (still haven't beaten it), downloaded the Undead Nightmare DLC a long time ago, and don't really care for the multiplayer bonuses included in the GotY edition, so am I fine not getting it?

thank you was looking for this saved me about 10-15 bucks from buying on ebay

had it sold it, been looking to buy it again to play through the story this time around doing all the side mission, did some before(some of the side missions were much longer and more fun than story missions)

will not beat the game don't want to see that ending again, RS i know why you all did it but why lol

It DID come out with a Platinum Hits version, but it still comes with the green case and the discs don't say that they're the Platinum Hits version. I guess you can try to replace the box art if you wanted to.

Awesome deal and tempted greatly. I had this for a while but I started to dislike the shooting on the horses. I would also just come to a stop and shoot, maybe because I turned auto aim off. It was just so damn hard to keep your horse running fast (hold X I think) while trying to aim with the same damn thumb. Then of course there was the problem of running into something. Did I do something wrong?

Also, did anyone have problems with the game being extremely bright and strangley at night?

Not trying to down the game at all, if I was doing something wrong I might grab it again.

Most likely yes. I bought this from Amazon for $20 last year and received GH version. So your odds are high it will be GH. Still a great price for the game, regardless if it's GH or not.

got this a few days earlier at kmart for about the same price ($13), but great deal regardless. I recommend this game to anyone who is on the edge.
 
PHENOMENAL game. One of my top 3 favorites this console generation, easily a top 10 favorite video game of mine overall! The single player and the multiplayer is a lot of fun, an awesome deal at $15!
 
Bought this for $20.00 from Amazon when it was on sale last summer. I only played through the vanilla game and havent touched Undead Nightmare yet but the content was well worth the price. At $15, this is a steal!
 
Yeah I shouldn't pick one up because my backlog is huge but still tempted, I think if I can find one that's not greatest hits edition I'll pick it up.
 
I personally think you guys should pick this up no matter what your backlogs are like.
This game is outstanding, one of my top 3 of all time, and thats coming from someone who doesn't even like Westerns.
...and no, don't get the Vanilla, get this one. You'll be sorry if you choose the vanilla over this one for $15.
Hell, I'm getting a second copy at this price.

I wholeheartedly agree. It's one of the best games his generation and for $15 it's a freakin steal.

Picked this up recently after getting the urge to play it again then traded it in to Gamestop after getting bored with it. Now I'm tempted to buy it again lol.

Definitely do it. I initially gave up on the game after about 2 or 3 hours thinking it felt tedious and slow. Several months later, I tried it again (with a slightly better understanding and appreciation of how open world games work) and it is now one of my all time favorites.

I was unaware the GOTY version is "greatest hits" -- it comes in its own packaging.
 
Awesome! I know I wont be able to play it for a while, but I had to get this game on reputation alone. $15 is my insta-buy price point for any quality sealed game. GOTY on top of that, makes this a no-brainer.
