If I didn't already get the LE for $33.24 in Like New condition from AWD, I'd be onboard with that $17.99 price. Thanks for posting it, VyseArcad1a. :)
Alright fellow CAGs, new deal for this week:

5/23 - :360: Halo 4 - $17.99 ($22 savings)

Meh, but I guess if you don't have it yet, it's a fairly good price.
Sweet. Don't have it yet, and it's more than a fairly good price--given the prices I've seen for it even in other sales, this is a *really* good price right now. Thanks for the info! :applause:

Thanks for this.

Definitely picking it up at that price.
How's Halo 4 compared to Reach? :)
Probably my favorite since C.E and 3, feels like a massive improvement. ODST and Reach were making me get bored of the series

Crazy how much opinion varies on this kind of thing.

In my opinion ODST is, bar none, the best game in the entire series. Interesting story + interesting characters = awesome game.

I loved the ODST story, but the gameplay just felt the same as the others. The only difference it felt like it added was stealth, and playing as a non-spartan (I.E not being able to carry turrets)

3 was probably my favorite for the longest, because of the gameplay, the maps, the story. It just felt like that first time I played Halo C.E and it was just so epic.

Reach had a great story too, but we already knew what was going to happen. Its like watching the Titanic or something

I think 4 is best in the series all the way around. At least the story mode.I've been meaning to do a second playthrough but just not enough time.

On another not I can't wait to see the flood of New copies of Halo 4 pop up on Ebay:)

Multiplayer is pretty amazing all around.

I have yet to complete campaign mode, so I dunno.

Spartan Ops is also pretty sweet as well. Love the additional "campaign-esque" episodes.
Tempting, but I should probably play through ODST and reach first. Freaking backlog:whistle2:(
Yes you should.

Just to throw my two cents in, I absolutely loved Reach. Such a bleak campaign.

This.

I really couldn't get in to 4. The thing that irked me the most, is the utter lack of ammo. It seemed like every time I encountered a group of enemies, I was constantly running around trying to find more ammo. Trying to conserve and take better shots did nothing to help.

Yeah, I realized that, cause I thought we had it on sale for around that price before but I was wrong. It actually is a really good price.

By far the worst part of the game is the ammo, it felt like the original Resident Evil in terms of stinginess not a FPS. Having to switch guns on every corpse made it the worst Halo by far.

And for me, one of the best parts of Halo 4 is running around and switching weapons all the time. It gives the game a lot more variation, otherwise you could sit there with a Plasma Cannon and destroy everything. It makes the battle more uphill, makes the victories sweeter, and you learn to be more proficient with other weapons. Maybe you guys should just learn to aim better. ;)

Isn't the point of the game that its supposed to be an uphill battle? You start off in the middle of nowhere, get attacked right off the bat, and are in a race to save Cortana.

It'd kind of kill the mood if you could just have an DMR and Battle Rifle with infinite ammo and grenades

The campaign is more cheap than fun on the more difficult levels.

Isnt that the same in all the Halo's? I remember having to run around with an Energy Pistol 24/7 or risk wasting all my ammo on an Elite's shield in Reach.

Yeah, that's how I feel about it as well. It has to be challenging to be fun and immersive for me.
i don't think you're able to put them onto a gift card (i heard they fixed that), but can't you buy something with the 40 and then return it and you get the points back with a new expiration date
Does that actually work? Or will they disapear since theyre past the expiration date? Has anyone tried this with reward zone certs that are expiring?
I think you can put RZ cert toward a pith in card. Maybe someone else can clarify.
this is the best solution i think, but i have no idea what a pitch in or pith card or whatever is.. can anyone clarify this?
Nope. You can add Best Buy gift cards, but not RZ certs to a PIC.
What IS a PIC/Pitch in Card, whatever? I cant seem to find any info on it.
What I recommend you do is first log into your account and change your settings so you are "banking points", that way the points never forcefully turn into certificates that you have to use within a certain timeframe. Once you have done that, try calling rewards zone if they would be able to change your certificates back into points form since you wish to bank them instead of being forced to buy something that you do not need just to spend the points. They were very friendly and reverted my reward certificates back into points without any complications.

You can only bank points over 20 if you are silver though.
Well I am Silver, but im not sure for how long.. how can i check when my silver expires? I asked at the store but the people there are kinda dumb they had no idea. This banking points thing sounds awesome, i didn't even know that was an option honestly.

Would going back to points from my certs cause any problems? Like make me lose any $ or points total? It sounds shakey... this sounds like a solution for the future if i have a bit on my silver still, but im not sure about reverting existing certs to points

You have silver till next fiscal year (February) unless you spend $2500 or do some kind of eligibility promo this calendar year (December 31st).

The Pitch-in is a Best Buy gift card that can be reloaded and is tracked on your Best Buy online account. To reload the card online, anyone can pay by credit or gift card to add to the card(Family, friends, yourself). To reload the card in-store, you can pay by credit card or cash, YMMV on this because most employees don't know what the Pitch-in card is.

Best Buy Pitch-In-Cards FAQ

If you want to check when you silver membership expires, login to the rewardzone website and check the right side for your expiration date. There's an option on website to bank your points, if your a silver member.

This is highly ymmv - either it's manual on their end or their system is janky, but as long as you use just one certificate on an order / purchase it seems to work ok. If it does glitch out for whatever reason it's a long ass call to customer service to work it out.

You can also double-dip points using the Pitch-In card when you trade games. You get points from trading games in, and then you take that gift card and add it to the Pitch-In card and you get points from that as well.

It's a glitch that's been around since at least last year and they still hadn't fixed as of a few weeks ago. Gift card purchases shouldn't qualify, but when you use them to contribute to a Pitch-In card, it works.

The only problem is, if you don't already have a Pitch-In card, you have to get one online. From what I understand, they don't have them in-store anymore.

At least one store in my area has them in a themed display by the registers. (Themed as in a display that specifically advertises the Pitch In concept, not just thrown on a rack with other types of cards.)

Now, whether that means anything is anyone's guess, as I already have one and did not attempt to activate one.
It probably will be random. It started at 10 pm PST the day before the actual day for us last time. It said 12 am PST.
Ok thanks.
Will the deal of the day go live at Midnight? Or is it a random time?
If you don't mind going to Best Buy to pickup the game, you can take safe route and make a pickup order. Pickup the order on the 23rd you will be charged current price, so about $18 + tax. If you do this you can basically reserve the game if your scared it will sell out, only do this if your Best Buy store's staff actually sets pickup orders aside.

Store Pickup & Our Price Match Guarantee If your product is available at a lower price in the store at the time you pick it up, your original form of payment will automatically be adjusted to reflect the lower price. Some exclusions apply.

Eastern time, sale prices usually change around 1am.
