I might pass, looking at some reviews I don't think this will hold up to my very fond memories and way too many hours with the N64 version.

Fan of the N64/GBA ones as well, wasnt a fan of any of the ones after, and this definitely seems like those

The two things that are turning me off are that there's not supposed to be much difference between the characters, which even in the N64 version a lot of characters played pretty differently, and that when the RPG parts of the GBA Mario sports games were so great that they didn't do anything in that direction.  Overall it seems solid but just lacking a little of that spark.

I can't believe this hasn't hit $10 or $15 yet since it didn't sell that well. I want to play a new Mario Tennis game, but this entry sounds lacking.

First party Nintendo game. It will be full MSRP until it goes out of print and out of stores, though that might actually be what's happening since Amazon isn't carrying it themselves any longer.

Normally, I'd say the same but Pokemon Black & White 2, Paper Mario Sticker Star, and Kid Icarus all had deep discounts.

Yeah, there's been more good sales on Nintendo games (see all the newer really good 3DS games on sale right now) but I meant more in a permanent drop sense. Both Sticker Star and Kid Icarus are great examples, games that did okay but were hardly hits and are still at a $40 MSRP most places instead of seeing a permanent cut like most other companies would have done. Still, definitely a step in the right direction that we're seeing better and more frequent sales on Nintendo products and the high ongoing MSRP does help hold resell value but less good for someone that just wants to pick it up after it stops going on sale. That's Nintendo though.

I guess I'll be voicing the other opinion, I enjoyed Mario Tennis on the 3DS. There isn't a lot to do like the other games, but online is fun (if there is still people) and the mechanics are solid. If you like tennis games, it isn't the best, but not bad for $20.

Picked it up. Great price for $20. Do people still play online?

and anyone know if the game has co-op? Like could I invite a friend to play doubles with me online vs two random people?

Thanks OP!

Even though this game doesn't have the best reviews, it appears to be a solid tennis game. At 20 bucks, what the hell, I'll doubt we'll ever see it much cheaper.

I was a little upset when I saw there was no shipping option, but I've got to run errands tomorrow and they take me right past my BB store, so I grabbed one. Plus the club points should put me over the top for my next years platinum status.

Been waiting for this to go down in price - plus I had an extra RZ cert lying around and I pass by a BB tomorrow on my way home from work so I can Store Pickup there. Thanks OP!

I picked up a copy.  I'm not sure what is going on - it plays kind of like a wacky Hot Shots Tennis (which is a good thing).

Really good price.  Already beat it on 360, tempted to get it on PS3 to play through again later.  But I think by the time I get to it, it will be a long time down the road and will have been even cheaper by then.

$25 x .91 = $22.50 - $1.86 S/H = $20.64

$20.64 - 11.99(tax) = ~ $8.

^ Doesn't include the following: insertion or listing fees; your time; gas;

Not to mention that if you buy multiples or create multiple orders on bestbuy.com you increase your chance of getting banned. And if you don't think they're banning people take a moment and check out the BB forums because they've been cracking down hard.

But I suppose you could always buy in-store. Sucks to be you though when the good .com deals start to roll around come Nov/Dec

Ah. ebay. Yeah I don't really like dealing with ebay.
That's where I sell all of my old games and gadgets. Get a lot more than you'd ever get by trading and I actually have not had any bad experiences yet after 99 positive feedback.

They don't charge insertion/listing fees anymore. No gas, I drop the game in my mailbox. Takes me about 2 minutes of work

$8 is not bad for 2 minutes of work; especially for a jobless college student.

^ 99 feedback? You're still just a baby in eBay's eyes.

I do agree with you though. It doesn't take much time or effort to throw a listing up. And you can almost always get more selling something like this for new then you ever could trading it in. In the several years I've been on CAG I can only think of a few instances where it was more cost effective to open a game and trade it in then it would be to list it on eBay new/sealed.

Even something like COD: BO II that people are super duper excited to trade it for ~ $39 will still sell for $45-$50 no problem if you know what you're doing.

thanks for the update.

BL2 GOTY at $10 is where my money will be next year.

since there are a lot of good DLCs for this game, buying the base game at this point is not worth it anymore even at this price. will just have to wait again.

I just mentioned that because a lot of people claim to have had really bad experiences with eBay/PayPal early on. I have 99 feedback on this account, and 50 or so on my old one. I may not be a power seller by any means, but I know enough to quickly price an item and throw it up for sale.

eBay. Sell for $25. Double my money easily. I do this quite often.
Too bad all the recent listings have it ending at around $17. Not to mention all the likeminded people buying this up with the intention of making a bit of profit. The market will see a slight increase in supply and as such, the demand will go down right along with the profit margin.

selling it for $45-$50 after fees will get you how much?
You won't sell this for $45-50 so it will net you a big waste of time... but everything [Edit: in the video game category] gets charged a 9% FVF now.

I think consoles are just 4% FVF

Yes, idiots are going to buy 10 of them and list them for $16.99. It always happens even though it probably nets them a loss, but that's why I call them idiots. People on ebay do things that make no sense quite often.

Well if you're picking up the 360 version and haven't noticed, all but 1 of the DLC is on sale in the xbox marketplace. You could technically get the GOTY edition for 50 something haha..
