I disliked the first Borderlands. Thought it was kinda empty and felt too much like a bad experience I had with Rage, which I played first. So is the 2nd a stay away for me or are there things that make it a worth $12 try? Anyone?
To me BL2 was extremely similar to BL1. If you didn't like BL1 I don't see why you would enjoy BL2 at all.

Reading mixed reviews about the headset; confuseeeed on whether it warrants and upgrade from TB x12's

$99 doesn't seem too bad. Have a $50 GC too

anyone know if the xp400s will be compatible with the ps4? i dont really wanna drop money on something ill just have to buy again.
from what I have read any headset that is compatible with ps3 will be compatible with ps4
im going for it $99 for a wireless surround sound headset is a really good deal
ive been looking for 2 or 3 months now

Does BB do trade-ins on Headsets like the TB X-12.

If so can someone tell me how much?  I cannot seem to find anything anywhere

thanks for the update.

BL2 GOTY at $10 is where my money will be next year.

since there are a lot of good DLCs for this game, buying the base game at this point is not worth it anymore even at this price. will just have to wait again.
This is what I want to wait for as well, since I got BL1 GOTY for $15. $20 is my sweet spot, but I've been wanting to play BL2. It's a very tempting offer, for sure.

Damn - I've been waiting for the GOTY version but for $12 I was ready to buy.  Too bad it is sold out everywhere around me.

Actually they said the OFFICIAL SONY headsets, such as the pulse, will be compatible with the ps4. The turtle beaches I don't know if they have said yes or no regarding them. To be safe, assume that the headset will not be compatable with next gen (Also isn't the xp400 part of the Xbox 360 line?)

It's available for shipping and store pickup in my area now.
Wow, that was fast. Thanks for the heads-up! I used the $10 apology code that BBY sent me for cancelling my Last of Us Survival Edition preorder (which would have expired on Thursday, 7/11) to snag this for $1.99+tax. \\:D/

I already own the Mechromancer and I have a code for the Torgue DLC, so I think I can wait for a sale on the other stuff. :D

The XP400 works for PS3, according to Best Buy's title.

"Turtle Beach - Ear Force XP400 Wireless Dolby Surround Sound Gaming Headset for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3"

"Engineered for Xbox 360" "Also Works With PS3"

I'm hoping they work with the PS4; I don't see why they wouldn't. I haven't opened my XP400's yet still debating it lol

So you brag post, get caught up in a discussion of how you use ebay, enough to give us your feedback score, and now there are other sites besides ebay? Why don't you just slink on out of here and stop with the ridiculousness.
What are you talking about? I didn't brag about anything, and I posted my feedback just to show that eBay isn't as bad as people say it is. Some people absolutely despise it because they are unlucky enough to run into a scammer or another bad situation.

You CAN sell on other sites (ever heard of Craiglist, or even Glyde?).

Jesus Christ people here can be ridiculous.

Two completely different thing's than "Works with PS3" and being an "Official Sony Headset (I.E. The pulse)."
The PULSE headset's should work with the ps4, however as the ps4 uses a 2.5mm port you will need an adapter if you plan to utilize voice chat (Which is the only thing that really is an issue, since all of these headsets can be rigged directly to the television).
I BELEIVE game-stop also received an email that the ps3 turtle beaches will be compatible (But we run into the 3.5mm to 2.5mm conversion issue again). If it is wireless I would assume that the ps4 will have bluetooth capability, but there is no OFFICIAL word yet regarding the Turtle Beaches. So will you be able to use the headset for sound? Absoloutly, I have my Turtle beach running through my television so It work's with my PS1 But will the mic work, gonna have to wait until Sony says so. (Which is the only thing people need to ask about)

I went to my Best Buy here in Sarasota FL, and it wasn't even advertised.  I grabbed a copy, had a customer service rep do a PC on it, and it was still for $11.99.  Like I said, no advertisement for it in the store, at all, so there's a possibility that there are alot of copies still left in store.

I thought about GOTY but then thought $11.99 + 1200 pts (3 DLC; still points from Targets BF sale) and wait on the fourth on a later sale... Sure... why not...

Quick question - I have a copy of this on my PS3 that I bought on PSN.

I also have some of the DLC including the first two PLUS the mechromancer preorder bonus and Dome preorder bonus...

If I buy the disc copy now and delete my copy on my hard drive to get my hard drive space back, will I lose all those DLC and pre-order bonuses?  Or are they stored in the game Data file that i will NOT delete in that other folder.

If they DO delete, do I just go back into my PS Store and redownload them to get them back?

Just got the XP400 since my X12 was showing signs of breakage. After a few hours with it, I have to say that I'm very impressed and glad that I saw this thread. It seems to have the DSS2 technology built into the headset as well, as there's a plug for optical, surround sound settings, and a Dolby Digital indicator on the transmitter box. The sound quality is also better than the X12 thanks to the treble and bass boosts. Some settings made the sound muffled, so it took me a little while to get the right configuration that suited me. I didn't encounter any interference whatsoever and it feels just as comfortable even if it's a little heavier. This is my first wireless headset, and for $100, it is well worth the price of admission in my opinion

I'm debating on using mine I picked up today. I have the X12 and it is in perfect condition. Is the upgrade that much better to warrant the purchase?

Maybe I could sell my x12 on eBay for 20$ or something. Wireless just sounds so nice and so does surround sound.

All this talk about it maybe not working on ps4 makes me nervous.

thinking about picking up the xp400 for that price. I've also been looking at the refurbished Astro A50's on ebay for $180, but I'm not sure the Dolby 7.1 warrants the extra $80. Anyone have experience with the Astro's?

Assuming that you've been using your X12 without the DSS or DSS2 and would like to take your audio experience to a higher level, I'd say the XP400 warrants a purchase. The surround sound is really nice if you've never experienced it before, and the fact that it's wireless makes it very convenient to wear. As for the PS4, I believe they mentioned it having optical out, so it's not really a problem. I don't know about the chat, but I'm sure it'll rocking Bluetooth functionality as well.

so the xp400 just runs chat through bluetooth which the ps4 should have and worst case scenario you would need a bluetooth adapter to plug into the ps4 controller like the one for the xbox controller which im sure will be available as a replacement part for a new ps4 headset or something but it shouldnt matter since ps4 will have bluetooth

but like people have said above me, if you really had to you could get a audio cable (with an adapter?) to plug the headset into the ps4 controller

as far as i can tell the xp400 is the ultimate wireless option available for the price and im sure whatever comes out specifically for ps4 and xbox one this holiday will be premium price for a while

Anyone know of any issues with the headset?

Been reading some comments on it and people have stated that when speaking through chat to others you sound bad or far away.

I too am debating using the XP400's. I got the X11 with a DSS (but dont use it unless I watch something on TV) for $45. This was too good of a deal to pass up. Thanks again CAG and the OP for posting stuff and for the guy pointing out these are the RZ ones. Awesome deal.

How top of the line are these? I guess my X11s are trash compared. The box and everything looks awesome.

Yes I was like...great. Another deal too good to pass up. Got the last one from my BB as they didn't have it labeled. How do the x11s sound paired with the DSs? decent?

I only watched blu-rays with the headset through the DSS on optical. 1. No noise through TV 2. Surround soundI dont listen to much in surrond sound but it was very cool to put the headphones and have some sort of surround sound. I dont know how it is compared to true 5.1/7.1 but from going to Stereo to DSS/optical there was a noticeable difference in sound direction i guess. I sometimes thought someone was behind me talking. But it was alot of wiring with the optical, the DSS, USB and mic/headphone jack.

The option to upgrade to a wireless surrond sound is too good for me. Like I said, got the X11s for $45 on the 1saleaday few months back. Came with the DSS but was refurbished. It was a pretty good deal at the time because of the DSS.

My justifcation

1. X11s are kinda echoing when im in Mumble.

2. No more wires

3. Awesome price on the headset. $220 headset for more than half off? $107 for me after tax on XP400s.

4. Cause I can. After making an amazing amount on Blockbuster to Gamestop flips, I figured Id spoil myself.

Dammit. I was at best buy today and they didn't have anything about Borderlands 2 being on sale. The website doesn't even do it for in-store pickup. Total bummer.

I assume you're looking for the :360: version? The :ps3: version is still available for shipping and in-store pickup.

If so, sorry about that.

Great reasoning. I figured I'd spoil myself to.

But now I just realized I have a 10% off coupon for my bday. Will BB give me 10% off iF i bring my receipt in tomorrow?

Edit: Actually the coupon doesn't state anything about video games so I don't think it would work on them anyways and it also states that it cannot be combined with any other coupons or offers.

That inventory checker isn't as dependable as I thought.  It said it was out of stock at West Covina BB, but I found 2 earlier.  I snagged one since I got the free season pass from that one Argentina account.  Plus I need to stock up on golden keys and once the GOTY version comes out, I would be too cheap to pay retail anyways so I would end up waiting more until it reaches $20 at most.

When the inventory checker says "out of stock", that doesn't necessarily mean that they have 0 copies at that store, as it technically means 0-2 copies are available. Yeah, it's weird, I know.

I started my check out like an hour ago but I was lazy so I didn't finish it. As soon as I clicked the button to go to the last page it stops because it went out of stock. Boo.

Why the gamer unlock July magazine still not available? I wanted to use my $30 off coupon to buy the headset but couldn't find the July magazine. How did you get he coupon?

the $30 off coupon is through the gamers club unlocked section of reward zone. Not the magazine.
