When are they available?
It's random and can happen during any day of the week. Usually starts around 1:00 AM EST to 1:30 AM EST.

Is it the same price in store?
Yes.

Will Amazon price match?
It depends on if enough people alert them to the deal and if Best Buy still have stock available for shipping.

How long are these deals available?
For up to 24 hours or until the item sells out.

Will Best Buy price match a DotD item I already purchased?
No. All Deal of the Day products are of Limited Quantities and are excluded from the Best Buy Price Match Guarantee.
(Official policy of Best Buy but depending on the customer service rep handling the price match you might still be able to get it done.)

Grabbed Borderlands 2. Got bored with my GOTY Edition of the 1st towards the end, and rushed through the DLC just to finish. Thus, I felt no need to wait on a complete edition of 2. The main game should be plenty of Borderlands for me.

Wow, kind of mad at myself for buying MLB13 on Vita for $20 from Gamestop now.  Hmm, I bought it on the 25th and it was a gutted copy with no seals on it so I wonder if they would let me return it.

Thanks for the bump - I wish that controller was black though. NSMB U allows use of the Pro Controller since the Luigi update, right? That alone might be a reason to get this.

I'm going to hold off for a bit and see if Amazon price matches (I already submitted the URL to them).

Didn't know if they put the stickers on the sealed games too, forgetting that I had the sealed Jak collection from GS sitting right next to me with no stickers. Got the baseball bug again bad after watching all the All-Star stuff. To bad Amazon never matches these though since I'm really tempted to grab the PS3 version too but $30 out of pocket vs credit is painful right now.

Like everybody else I want a black controller to match the system but this is pretty tempting. Going to pass since my WiiU is collecting dust at an alarming rate.

Same here (well, the dust part anyway). But if I can use this to finish NSMB U then it might be worth getting in order to spur me to play the Wii U more. Seriously, I feel bad that I neglect it ;). If this controller works with Pikmin 3 (which I am getting for sure and will play day one) then that would cinch it.

Good deals!

Last week was a better deal for MLB 13: The Show (PS3) when you consider x2 at $39.99 = ~ $80 - $50GC = $30/2 = ~ $15 each (a little more with taxes and such).

Anyways still a great pick-up.

Someone mentioned in another thread that Nintendo has stopped shipping white basic consoles to stores. Is that why they are heavily discounting the white Pro Wii U controllers?

 
Not to go too far off topic, with the excuse that it's so I can get the dotd, but are there any profitable or even flips from Gamestop to BBY anyone knows of right now?  Just want to shift some credit so I'm not eating it all when my funds are low right now.

I'm sure you could flip the Wii U Pro Controller that's $25.

Edit: I'm probably going to keep this one sealed. I have a black system so I really don't need a white one.

Edit 2: This controller DOES work with Pikmin 3, New Super Mario Bros U, New Super Luigi U, and probably Mario 3D World. Don't get it when it's $50, get it cheap now.

That is such a good price for a brand new controller on any system.  If it is still there in the morning I will buy it.  I won't need one for at least 9-10+ months looking at the upcoming games for the Wii U, and even then I'm sure I could use wiimotes + chucks when multiple controllers are needed.  I'm hoping it goes out of stock and saves me the sale.

 
Crazy price on MLB The Show for the Vita. Greatest handheld sports game ever made IMO. Anyone with a Vita and even the slightest interest in baseball would be a complete moron to pass that up.
 
Dang it! Didn't need the controller and I bought it anyway. Though two player on CoD sounds cool and might prompt me to play more Mario Bros. as usual, thanks OP.
 
Is anyone else finding that the Best Buy white Wii U Controller deal is in-store pickup only?  Kind of sucks for me, as the nearest BB is an hour away :/

It is sold out, same with the vita version of MLB 13 The Show. Best Buy is getting cleaned out tonight, all of the good pre-owned games are sold out, too. :(

I see. Well I went ahead and ordered a Wii U controller, in-store pickup. Looks like BB keeps a hold of in-store pickup orders for a week, so at least I can wait until the weekend to make a trip to my BB store :)

 
Don't know why the color of the controller not matching the system matters so much to some of you guys. Getting it for half the price is a pretty sweet deal.

 
I would buy the Wii u controller in a heartbeat...if I weren't just now contemplating trading in all my wii u stuff to GS with the 50% bonus, that is.

Yeah, I should have just ordered one and then returned it if Amazon matched (which they have not yet).

Now it is OOS.  It seems to be available at nearly every store but I so rarely go to (or even near) Best Buy.  I guess I'll order it and if I find myself near there within a week I'll pick it up.  I'm kind of shocked it sold out so quickly - it isn't really a price to go nuts over.

 
Hmmm. The BB a few miles from my house apparently has some copies of MLB: The Show for Vita in stock. Might have to take a drive in a few hours.

I've heard that there are a lot of legit-looking bootlegs coming out of eBay. I'd much rather get a white controller (even if my console is black) from a legit buyer than take the chance w. eBay. Buying one for pickup, tempted to get 2.

Wii u pro controller is pretty good, had nintendo not gone tablet controller and launched with this I'd be happy.

Can't wait to use it for pikmin 3 and smash in the future
 
Grabbed a Wii U controller w/ in-store pick-up. I missed the Wal-Mart clearance (mine never went below $37), so this is great. Already have a black one, so this is a nice companion.

 
The battery life on the pro controller is enough to make it a must buy. The stupid Game Pad gets a little over 2 hours with sound on and maybe another 30 min with it off. The Wii U Pro has to get 40+ without a blink. I used it like crazy on Luigi U and never charged it over the course of a week. The Game Pad is great for off screen play, but if I am playing on the TV, the Pro is awesome. It's crazy light too. Nintendo needs on option to turn off the Game Pad though, as even if you are going to just use the Pro it will keep your Game Pad on anyway. I have to always take the Game Pad out of range and then turn it off, really stupid.
 
Plan to buy my son a Wii U for Christmas so I decided to go ahead and buy this controller now while its cheap.

Yea I traded in my MLB 13 on PS3 yest and got the game amount. The TIV dropped. On their site it was listed as 19 before bonus and then I go in and it changed.
