Can I pre-order and purchase multiple copies of a
qualifying game and get multiple awards?
No. There is a limit of one (1) award per My Best Buy
member per game title.
What if I pre-ordered a qualifying game before I
saw this offer?
If you pre-ordered a qualifying game before seeing
this offer, you’ll still qualify for the offer as long as
your member ID is attached to the transaction.
When will I receive my $10 reward certificate?
For each qualified purchase, you will receive 500 My
Best Buy points (worth $10 in reward certificates)
credited to your account approximately 15–20 days
after street date or store pickup.
If I pre-order a game now using my GCU and the
game releases after my membership ends, will
I still get the 20% off discount?

For in-store pre-orders, I can definitively say that if
your GCU membership is expired when you
complete your pickup, you will not receive the 20%
discount. This is because in-store pre-orders are not
processed until the time of pickup, and we only
collect an up-front deposit.

Pre-orders made on BestBuy.com are not as cut and
dry as in-store, but it is possible to retain your GCU
discount on a title released after your membership
expires for these types of pre-orders. Reason being,
when you place your pre-order the GCU discount is
calculated up front, and we then pre-authorize the
discounted total with your bank. If all goes well, the
discount can be retained upon release, however,
there is no guarantee.

A sure way to lose the discount on BestBuy.com
pre-orders is if any modifications are made to the
order prior to release, but after your membership
has expired. These modifications could be updating
the billing address, changing the form of payment,
and others. This is because when a modification is
made it triggers another authorization on your form of
payment, which should recalculate the price if your
GCU membership is no longer active.

When pre-ordering COD: WWII at Best Buy, will the beta code be printed on my receipt like at GameStop?  Or do they do it differently?

 
Feels like it has been forever since I bought a game with the $10 RZ. But I think I remember this being the norm:

Ordered Madden online (5 days before release) for in-store pickup: I still don't even see the 500 pts.

Ordered Destiny 2 online (8 days before release) to be shipped: 500 pts already pending

I was thinking I made the wrong choice shipping Destiny b/c of the holiday...but to my surprise it was shipped on Friday via USPS with an expected delivery date of Tuesday.

Same thing happened to me with Yakuza Kiwami last week, actually got the game on the Saturday before release!
 
Got my Destiny copy in the mail today.

You get a code for a Coldheart exotic weapon as an insert in the case...so wonder if the pre-order bonus that's a digital download is the same thing...or a different weapon or includes other items.

You also get a 30 day PS+ trial.

yea I got mine in the mail today too!  I hope we get the point in time to preorder the PC version and get more points.

 
It's now been 22 days and still no sign of the Madden bonus. The transaction for the Madden purchase is there. I got the points for it, and in the details it says "bonus" but there is no number associated with it.

Will report missing points and see if I can get this fixed.

I chatted with them and they said it could take 20-25 days to appear. I just think it is crazy that some people get them instantly, and others have to wait for as long as us. Haha. I don't care when I get them, I just want to make sure I get them!

Yeah same. I'm not in a rush.. I just want them at some point. I tried to report missing points but it said my info didn't match their records :/ I double checked and it should. I'll wait a few more days.

I am curious as to why it's not a uniform system. You would think they would just set up the system to give everyone the 500 pts on Day 21 automatically, instead of this awkward random system.

Completely agree. And I ran into the same issue with my info not matching their records (even though it did). Either way, I am glad they are doing this deal again.

I'm in the same boat, but mine doesn't have any bonuses showing up, aside from the Elite Plus and Credit card ones. But there's no 500 points showing up anywhere.

 
Probably a dumb question, but will I get $10 rewards for every game if I pre-order all the games I want in the same order, or does it have to be different orders?

I want to pre-order NBA 2K18, COD WWII, and SW Battlefront 2 but all 3 in the same order.

1 per game per title - doesn't matter in the order

 
Debating on pre ordering South Park...do you receive the code for Stick of Truth immediately or at release day?
 
Had to send a second email stating that I got my purchase points but not the 500pts, and they responded with after you pick it up let us know, I said I picked Madden up over a week ago, duh!

 
Got my Destiny points already, probably gonna roll that into Fifa. The best way to get points early is to order online about 15 days or so in advance, there's no "pending" status when the transaction posts and the points are usually there within a day.

yep, nothing so far, but i checked their unboxed forums and they wont do anything until after 20 days, either from when it shipped or was picked up. so shipped on the 21st, still got a couple days before i will contact them.

I'm also still waiting but got the GOAT edition so it's been 24 days for me. Don't have the time to call right now, tried chat but no available 'experts'. Will deal with it later. I assume at this point that I'll never see that bonus unless I alert them something is wrong.
 
So I did end up calling about Madden...

The rep asked basic information, put me on hold for 2 minutes while he looked into it, and then told me he wasn't sure why the system didn't add the points but he made the point adjustment and the 500 pts were added immediately. So if you don't want to wait, I'd recommend calling.

Just for added info. I preordered the Goat edition Madden, preordered it like 2 weeks before it came out and picked it up on release date (Tuesday; now 24 days ago).
 
I wish they would add yakuza 6. I wonder if they had great yakuza 0 and kiwami sales that could positively influence such a decision. My understanding is that yakuza 0 sold surprisingly well. 😊
 
Does anyone know if I use a Best Buy credit card and choose no interest financing, do I still get the pre-order bonus points?

 
Wow I got my cert but it was less than a week ago...never got my madden promo code though. 

I just pre-ordered NBA 2k18 today (standard edition). 

 
I called today about Madden and mentioned I wanted to check on a game where I hadn't received my $10 bonus and he knew it was Madden before I told him. He had an email in hand mentioning a delay in the $10 credits for Madden, but he immediately gave me my credit. So it's likely the credits are still coming at some point, but it's probably worth a call to get it now.

 
Guess I got the wrong rep called in and was told because of the glitch points would not be available until the 21st. Would not give them to me.

Hmmm, I'd call but I am irrationally afraid they will mess with my SNES classic pre order.

Why would they mess with an order that has nothing to do with Madden? Just call them up and ask to be transferred to the My Best Buy department. They have the ability to add 500 points to your account right there.

 
Still haven't received my made cert either. Debating on calling but I'll wait till Friday before I freak out. Glad I ordered 2k18 instead of waiting like I had originally had planned.
 
Question... if I ordered FIFA 18 on both XB1 and Switch, do I get 2 certs? Or is it just one per title? 

(I ordered them w/ separate orders just to be sure.)
