No. There is a limit of one (1) award per My Best Buy

What if I pre-ordered a qualifying game before I
saw this offer?
If you pre-ordered a qualifying game before seeing
this offer, you’ll still qualify for the offer as long as
your member ID is attached to the transaction.
When will I receive my $10 reward certificate?
For each qualified purchase, you will receive 500 My
Best Buy points (worth $10 in reward certificates)
credited to your account approximately 15–20 days
after street date or store pickup.
If I pre-order a game now using my GCU and the
game releases after my membership ends, will

For in-store pre-orders, I can definitively say that if
your GCU membership is expired when you
complete your pickup, you will not receive the 20%
discount. This is because in-store pre-orders are not
processed until the time of pickup, and we only
collect an up-front deposit.

Pre-orders made on BestBuy.com are not as cut and
dry as in-store, but it is possible to retain your GCU
discount on a title released after your membership
expires for these types of pre-orders. Reason being,
when you place your pre-order the GCU discount is
calculated up front, and we then pre-authorize the
discounted total with your bank. If all goes well, the
discount can be retained upon release, however,
there is no guarantee.

A sure way to lose the discount on BestBuy.com
pre-orders is if any modifications are made to the
order prior to release, but after your membership
has expired. These modifications could be updating
the billing address, changing the form of payment,
and others. This is because when a modification is
made it triggers another authorization on your form of
payment, which should recalculate the price if your
GCU membership is no longer active.

I did the same thing. In the thread about it on the Best Buy forum a mod gave a link PM so I did and he said he reviewed it and saw it was an error and I should've had the 500 points by now. He said he would adjust it and I would have it within 3 to 5 days. Of course that was Tuesday and I still don't have the points reflected on my account yet so hopefully Monday....
 
I pre-ordered and picked up Fifa 18 in store due to the trade in Fifa 17 offer to get the trade value plus the additional $10 coupon. Granted its only been just over a week now but still no 500 points pending on that transaction either. I received my Destiny 2 $10 reward certificate but I did it all online not in store at all for that one.

I'm in the same situation. Did the trade-up offer for Fifa. No pending 500 bonus points, but I'm not worried though. We'll get it.

Ugh, just got around to updating payment information for some pre orders under the visa checkout promotion awhile back because my credit card got stolen. Rep assured me the discount would stay then even lied to me and said it did but when I checked it was gone and she refused to do anything about it. Never dealt with such a rude person, best buy customer service is usually decent. I have one other order with mario Odyssey in it that I need to update but now I don't know what to do. Anyone have to do this with their orders?

if you wait til they try to charge you will get an alert to update payment method, might delay shipping a little bit but you will keep the discounts

Oh really? She said on the phone if I had waited for it to send me the automated message the discount would have been lost as well so either way I wasn't getting the discount. But she clearly had no idea. Guess I'll wait to update mario Odyssey. Thanks!

Both of my kids want Mario Odyssey for Christmas.  If I pre-order 2 copies of it, will Best Buy give me $20 in rewards or is this a one per account kind of thing?  Can both games be ordered in the same transaction or do I need two different orders?

I had a situation where the local store didn't have my Splatoon 2 preorder (even though I preordered back in January with the Visa promo). To get around the issue, they grabbed a copy from the shelf and were going to manually update my order.

I complained about potentially losing the promo. They thought it would be fine, and altered the order.

Needless to say, I lost the promo. :bomb:

I contacted the mods on the Best Buy Forums and they looked at my issue, and they agreed that the store shouldn't have messed with the order. They refunded me the total amount of the promo.

 
I've never done one of these pre-order deals before. Should there be some sort of confirmation on the order status page that I'm going to receive the $10 certificate, or is there no way to know for sure until the game releases?

No way to know until 15-20 days after you pick up/receive the game. They'll just dump 500 points into your MYBBY account.

Some people end up getting the points early, some people have to wait a while before the points show up.

It's been a while, but from what I remember it's on the receipt when you pick up the game or have it shipped to you.
 
Does anyone know if you still get the reward dollars if you preorder a game before the promotion was available? For example, I preordered Mario right after it was announced along with other games and am not sure if I will get the $10.

The reason I'm asking is because this is the first time I've had a Best Buy gift card, and I just found out that purchases made with gift cards don't qualify for points. So now I'm trying to figure out if I'm going to get the $10 cert or if I should cancel it and make a new order using a different method of payment.

Your fine. Like you stated, when you purchase anything with credit, you dont earn points.
 
Would I still get the $10 rewards cert if I preorder Shadow of War right now? And anyone know why the ring doesnt show up in the cart? 

 
Eh...kinda regret ordering Shadow of War now.

First finding out the loot box stuff and endings.

Then game was shipped end of last week but has been in the same "in transit" status for like 4 days..doubt I'll get it on Tuesday. I would have done store pick up had I realized Monday was a holiday.

Ring is now in "shipping delayed" status even though I ordered around 10 days ago.

I get the feeling shadow of war will drop in price extremely fast. Reviews aren’t in the excellent range, and there is too much “filler” content in the game.

agree. Plus multi platform single player seem to drop a little faster than games with a multiplayer component.

My ring is delayed as well, but they're giving me a $5.86 credit "when it ships" for the "amount of shipping the item" (which is zero for Elite Plus in all instances). Considering it was a free bonus, I have no clue how that will work. A $5.86 refund on the order would be fine, but if it's $5.86 off a $0 item I assume I'll get nothing.

 
Best buy has been clutch lately I received shadow of war on saturday and I'm scheduled to receive wwe 2k18 thursday!

It works online, but I've also seen enough people complain about it not kicking in right away that I tend to recommend people renew in the store.

If your local stores are too far away to be convenient, it should be fine, and you may not even notice a delay between when you buy it and when it updates your subscription... but if you pass by a store, I'd say just do it there.

I got an email this morning that said an item in my order way delayed (email text below). I ordered Friday along with Mario Odyssey + Coin and Fractured But Whole Gold Edition + Beanie. I have not received the credit. It says I WILL receive the credit when item (ring) ships. I doubt it will ship if it really is limited and it's priced at $0, so I don't know how it will work. It says it will be "applied to my order" but I'm not sure if that means the entire order or the ring in particular.

Yeah; I ended up buying Mordor twice. I bought it at launch and then the GOTY for like $15 a year or so later.

What are the restrictions on the Pre-Order? I submitted an in store pick-up order for Shadow of War Gold Edition at 12:09 PM CT because of gift card issues. Will I still receive the Preorder bonus or the $10 certificate?

It might still end up working for you if the button still said "Pre-Order" instead of Add to Cart, but I wouldn't bet on it.

And if it doesn't work, you don't really have much to stand on, as if you called in and asked for the points most customer service reps would look at the timestamp on your order and say "That's not a pre-order, doesn't count."

But... YMMV. Good luck.

I think when I originally added to the cart then it said per-order. However when I went to look at the item directly after submitting my order, it said check stores. I am wondering if the Gold Edition will sell through quick and they will tell everyone to pick up the season pass if they want anything equivalent afterwards. I kind of want to wait to next month but I don't know what kind of actually value the Gold Edition offers. Also is the Best Buy version of the Gold Edition an actual steel book? I saw that Game stops version is an actual steel book. Is the Pre-order bonus going out via email for online orders or is it packed into the cases?

 
Grrrrrrr. Store level told me the ring is only given via mail (lie), so I call CS and they said they can't give out the preorder bonus (lie). Its apparently a store level item. Such crap!!! When I didn't get my flash hat for injustice 2, CS at the time hooked me up. This is annoying. Congrats to those with successful scenarios though

Hmm....I got that exact same email...probably same time you did...and minus that one line about a credit.

 
Oredered (9/15/2017) "Shadow of War" online for in-store pickup and got the game earlier today (replica ring was shipped to me on Saturday).  Already have my 500 bonus points in my account ready to use.  Getting the bonus 500pts on day 1, without waiting for the pending process is really nice.

 
I was given a ring attached to the game when picking up. Also had another ring shipped to my mailbox. Not sure what happened but I'm not complaining

If you already preordered it online before it sold out, and you're just now buying GCU, you'd likely have to call customer service after it ships, since that's when the charge happens, and they may or may not be able to modify it before that point (but it's worth a shot to call before it releases, just in case).

If you already preordered in store before it sold out, and you're just now buying GCU, it'll be fine as long as your GCU is active on the day you pick it up; no need to call anybody. The POS system doesn't calculate GCU until pickup date.

If you haven't preorder it yet... well... you can't get a discount on something you can't buy.

Trying to get the Deluxe Edition of WWE 2K18. In the past, it's been cheaper to ship it than pay local tax on pick up. I don't need it the release day anyway. 

Regular version can ship just not the Deluxe.

There may be a shortage of PS4 copies. My store only got 1 vs 5 for Xbox.
