Can I pre-order and purchase multiple copies of a
qualifying game and get multiple awards?
No. There is a limit of one (1) award per My Best Buy
member per game title.
What if I pre-ordered a qualifying game before I
saw this offer?
If you pre-ordered a qualifying game before seeing
this offer, you’ll still qualify for the offer as long as
your member ID is attached to the transaction.
When will I receive my $10 reward certificate?
For each qualified purchase, you will receive 500 My
Best Buy points (worth $10 in reward certificates)
credited to your account approximately 15–20 days
after street date or store pickup.
If I pre-order a game now using my GCU and the
game releases after my membership ends, will
I still get the 20% off discount?

For in-store pre-orders, I can definitively say that if
your GCU membership is expired when you
complete your pickup, you will not receive the 20%
discount. This is because in-store pre-orders are not
processed until the time of pickup, and we only
collect an up-front deposit.

Pre-orders made on BestBuy.com are not as cut and
dry as in-store, but it is possible to retain your GCU
discount on a title released after your membership
expires for these types of pre-orders. Reason being,
when you place your pre-order the GCU discount is
calculated up front, and we then pre-authorize the
discounted total with your bank. If all goes well, the
discount can be retained upon release, however,
there is no guarantee.

A sure way to lose the discount on BestBuy.com
pre-orders is if any modifications are made to the
order prior to release, but after your membership
has expired. These modifications could be updating
the billing address, changing the form of payment,
and others. This is because when a modification is
made it triggers another authorization on your form of
payment, which should recalculate the price if your
GCU membership is no longer active.

I've been buying my games at BB for over two years when I discovered GCU and I have always gotten the 10 bucks eventually. Sometimes quickly sometimes after a month but I've always gotten it. It almost never shows up until after the return period has ended.

 
Meh. Someone tried to use my card at a gas station across town and now all the games I preordered before my GCU ran out are screwed. Oh well, should have paid upfront with Paypal. :-({|=

 
I called BB 3 days ago about the $10 for tomb raider and the rep said she deposited the points and they'll appear in 24-48 hours.  As of this post they're still not there and nothing is pending still.  So I have no clue what's going on.

 
Don’t know if it’s been noted but there’s a free steelbook with fallout. In case anyone’s on the fence with the 15 back promo ending tonight
 
Picked up fifa 18 (switch) for $13.63 with the instore pickup discount and GCU and traded it back in for $14.78 plus the $10 off coupon for fifa 18. Since the coupon is for in-store only I did a pre-order instore and only put $5 down, hopefully this works all out and I get the game for $37.99 + tax and $10 in points.

It'll be $39.99.

Coupon comes off first, then GCU. Still a good deal!

 
Anyone know if both the Super Smash Ultimate Console Bundle and the game can be preordered for two 10 dollar certificates using the same account?

That is what as me thinking about either PayPal or taking the 2 times points hit and buy a Best Buy gift card to cover my preorders for when my GCU expires October 30th. I also could use my Best Buy Visa Credit Card since I don’t use it outside of Best Buy since Citi doesn’t support Samsung Pay or Apple Pay with it.

I just took the hit and bought virtual BB giftcards to pay games off. The BB points you earn are so minimal at this point and since GCU is going away I didn't see the harm. That being said I was lucky to transfer a lot of GS credit to BB so I used giftcards on most of my games and just bought some to make up the $5 difference here or there.

Gonna probably buy a lot of giftcards to preorder things when my GCU runs out next September. That or hope to keep this trade to GS then convert to BB train rolling.

 
Still no cert for Tomb Raider for me as well. I am giving them until Friday and then I will be giving them a call. I have had to contact Best Buy to receive my certs several times in the past, so this doesn't surprise me. At least my GCU goes through the end of November 2020...really hoping they don't kill accounts early.

Damn, nice job. Since the points bonus only gets me to $43 after tax, I think I'll have to wait until BF to pick up FIFA 19.
 
Picked up Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate & FIFA 19. Forza came out to $69.99 plus tax after the coupon and GCU and Fifa 19 was $37.99 after the coupon. Also the $10 in points for Fifa 19 showed up as pending right away. Does anyone know if the pre-order dlc for Forza comes as a email? Since this was the first time I pre-ordered in-store, instead of online.

 
I pre-ordered ACO gold steelbook edition, then cancelled it in favor of the (cheaper) limited edition. Today I got an email that said Best Buy has shipped the ACO art prints that come free with the steelbook but I am being charged $10.81. Is this something I can return at my local Best Buy store or an I hosed?

Should come with an invoice for what you paid so I don't see why you couldn't return it
 
Tried to trade-in Shadow of the Tomb Raider Limited Steelbook Edition just now and the employee said it was not in the system. The regular version is in there but not the Steelbook Edition. Any idea if Best Buy will eventually take it back in trade or should I look elsewhere?

Whole things seems silly if I'm being honest.

dont trade in the steelbook, just trade in the game, keep the steelbook, same price for trade, have done it many times.

 
So whats the rule on buying multiple copies but on different platforms?  I have CoD Blops 4 preordered on PS4, but thining of getting 2 more PC copies for my friend and I.  Would I still get the $10 certs on all 3 copies?

 
Odyssey Gold no longer get $10? I thought in the past they gave $10 to all version until base was out..

And the art prints are gone.

The art print for ACO is not worth the 10$ or to hold buying the game for it .. its just to artwork pic print it on cheap paper I don't see anything special about it them ..
Btw I just got the 500 point for gold edition of ACO

Does anyone know where can I find the 10$ gift card list on games like Call of Cthulhu !!

And from where you guys get the BB coupon !! I have been with them for 3 years and never got one lol
