▼ Read Me! FAQ ▼ Pre-Order $10 Program
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Can I pre-order and purchase multiple copies of a
qualifying game and get multiple awards?
No. There is a limit of one (1) award per My Best Buy
member per game title.
What if I pre-ordered a qualifying game before I
saw this offer?
If you pre-ordered a qualifying game before seeing
this offer, you’ll still qualify for the offer as long as
your member ID is attached to the transaction.
When will I receive my $10 reward certificate?
For each qualified purchase, you will receive 500 My
Best Buy points (worth $10 in reward certificates)
credited to your account approximately 15–20 days
after street date or store pickup.
If I pre-order a game now using my GCU and the
game releases after my membership ends, will
I still get the 20% off discount?
- From BestBuy Support Forums (link):
For in-store pre-orders, I can definitively say that if
your GCU membership is expired when you
complete your pickup, you will not receive the 20%
discount. This is because in-store pre-orders are not
processed until the time of pickup, and we only
collect an up-front deposit.

Pre-orders made on BestBuy.com are not as cut and
dry as in-store, but it is possible to retain your GCU
discount on a title released after your membership
expires for these types of pre-orders. Reason being,
when you place your pre-order the GCU discount is
calculated up front, and we then pre-authorize the
discounted total with your bank. If all goes well, the
discount can be retained upon release, however,
there is no guarantee.

A sure way to lose the discount on BestBuy.com
pre-orders is if any modifications are made to the
order prior to release, but after your membership
has expired. These modifications could be updating
the billing address, changing the form of payment,
and others. This is because when a modification is
made it triggers another authorization on your form of
payment, which should recalculate the price if your
GCU membership is no longer active.

Im debating on doing Gold and seeing if Ult dlc is on ebay for reasonable price
If I still had gcu I’d buy the gold at bestbuy. Honestly, people will sell the ultimate dlc for $20 or more pretty sure. Can’t wait to see an unboxing to see if there’s any different in them steelbooks

Rage 2 probably will dropped to $39.99 within 4 weeks of release and $19.99 on BF. The gameplay looks extremely fun and interesting but gonna wait for it to go on sale.

My GCU expires in July. Rage 2 Deluxe edition GCU price + $10 isn't that bad. I'm not sure I care enough to play this game at launch though. I liked Mad Max but I picked that game up dirt cheap.

Has anyone received there Division 2 codes yet? I called BB this morning and they were still waiting. Seems kinda late too not receive it yet. I wanna start downloading the game so I can play it later.

They were pretty bad with Anthem codes as well. If you didn't get it immediately after picking yours up, you need to message them as you won't get them otherwise.

I'm confused what code were they supposed to send for TD2? I know the capital defender pack code was in the case but didn't know I was missing something as I also haven't received a code via email

Definitely haven't seen the points for preordering The Division 2 pending yet for my game that was delivered last Friday. Anyone else running into that?

Mine is not showing up either. Talked to BB chat and said they were looking into it whatever that means.
I just spent an hour on online chat and they insisted everything was fine and I need to wait 15-20 days. Totally ignored how every other game with this offer when pre-ordered more than 14 days before release had the points post next day after pickup/delivery.

Similar to the doom and gloom of people non-stop complaining about no games on this list, you will endlessly see posts about "wait for E3."

And that always ends up being correct.

As I wait for the Division 2 rewards bomus 500 I was reading the terms

“For each qualified purchase, receive 500 My Best Buy points (worth $10 in reward certificates) credited to account approximately 15–20 days after street date or store pickup.”

So they either changed that or were just more willing to send the points earlier previously. Waiting sucks because I want to use the $10 here plus another $10 I am saving for Sekiro, but honestly it can wait.

I think certain games are just screwed up or handled differently. I had to wait 21 days for my Super Smash Bros Ultimate $10 reward to post automatically (and it posted as its own entry in my rewards) but my Kingdom Hearts 3 $10 bonus posted the day before my game even shipped (and posted in my Rewards history when I preordered the game 6 months previously and not as its own entry). Sounds like The Division my be one that takes a while to post.

agreed, anthem came through right away, but division 2 doesn't even show pending, had to email CS, its a pain and every game is different.

It’s always been 15-21 days. And I can’t speak for others, but I’ve almost always have had to wait that long to have my points posted.

My experience has been pretty much the opposite. Most $10 rewards appear right away with a few taking the full 21 days to show up.

If you preorder months in advance and it's in there system, the points will post immediately. Otherwise you will have to wait 14 days. Some games they have to post add the points, why they don't show up as pending in anyone's account. I have never not eventually had my bonus points added.

As for spending points and returning, it will put your account in a negative balance.

Wish MLB the show 19 was on this list, I think last year they did the coupon trade in deal like madden, but I haven't seen it yet!

So still nothing with my Division preorder. I called in to see what was going on and they issued 500 points on the spot
Still nothing for me either. I already tried chat once though and they just stated to contact them after 21 days if I hadn't seen it, and with my luck if I call I'd get someone who would be like, "Well it's still only been 11 days, please wait 10 more."

Just got the 500 points issued to me as well.  If Best Buy gives you shit, send them this:

Well, I mean, a lot of people got the game on the 15th, so I mean, coming Friday/Saturday for a lot of us. I figure I won't push it until then.

I meant in regards to saying 21 days because they are full of shit. Those bonus points are 99.9% of the time supposed to be credited when the game is picked up. Usually the purchase is made well enough in advance and already authorized hence the points being credited.

Use live chat. I did this am and they knew the points were not there. They credited them manually.
I'm on live chat (again) and they are completely refusing.

Just tried calling in and also shut down. Good lord that was an excruciating experience both on chat and the phone.

Guys, you can avoid chatting with CS simply by waiting the 21 days.:)  You're just making more work for yourself by calling.  Yes, you may get your points sooner by calling before the 21 days, but is it really worth spending your time with CS?

If it applied to only PS4 games, that would be as lame as the buy 2 Wii U games get 1 Free sale.

But ill pick up Assassins Creed IV, another PS3 games and get Pokemon X or Y for free if its for all games.

Point is, the points shouldn’t take the 21 days. They are immediately credited to your account (based on my experience in the past) when your order is picked up. Also, even if they aren’t credited, there is a line showing 500 points in the Rewards History for the order. Mine this time did not. Hence why I called. I’ve had issues in the past where representatives don’t believe that pre-ordering a game sometimes entitled you to bonus points lol. Better to get that shit out of the way sooner than later.

Your experience differs slightly from mine as most times the points do post or show pending at time of shipping/pick up, but there have been a few cases for me where nothing was pending and the points automatically showed up around day 21 after shipping (the most recent being Super Smash Brothers Ultimate). That's why the BB Unboxed forums/customer service will usually tell you they can't do anything about it until it gets to 21 days.

That is the only reason I contacted them this time with a screenshot because the 500 didn't even show pending for D2.

Thats kind lf where I am tomorrow if I don’t see it show pending or something.

Granted the 25 reviews take a while too, it is what it is. I may just try to see if I can get something on the account just for peace of mind
