Can I pre-order and purchase multiple copies of a
qualifying game and get multiple awards?
No. There is a limit of one (1) award per My Best Buy
member per game title.
What if I pre-ordered a qualifying game before I
saw this offer?
If you pre-ordered a qualifying game before seeing
this offer, you’ll still qualify for the offer as long as
your member ID is attached to the transaction.
When will I receive my $10 reward certificate?
For each qualified purchase, you will receive 500 My
Best Buy points (worth $10 in reward certificates)
credited to your account approximately 15–20 days
after street date or store pickup.
If I pre-order a game now using my GCU and the
game releases after my membership ends, will
I still get the 20% off discount?

For in-store pre-orders, I can definitively say that if
your GCU membership is expired when you
complete your pickup, you will not receive the 20%
discount. This is because in-store pre-orders are not
processed until the time of pickup, and we only
collect an up-front deposit.

Pre-orders made on BestBuy.com are not as cut and
dry as in-store, but it is possible to retain your GCU
discount on a title released after your membership
expires for these types of pre-orders. Reason being,
when you place your pre-order the GCU discount is
calculated up front, and we then pre-authorize the
discounted total with your bank. If all goes well, the
discount can be retained upon release, however,
there is no guarantee.

A sure way to lose the discount on BestBuy.com
pre-orders is if any modifications are made to the
order prior to release, but after your membership
has expired. These modifications could be updating
the billing address, changing the form of payment,
and others. This is because when a modification is
made it triggers another authorization on your form of
payment, which should recalculate the price if your
GCU membership is no longer active.

Anyone know how the BestBuy RetailMeNot 10% cashback top deals offer works. It says Top deals only and Luigi's Mansion seems like it is a top deal.

 
Has the Cyberpunk PC Collector’s Edition gone up for pre-order? I haven’t seen it pop up yet. I am wondering if I should just look elsewhere.

Meant to put in my pre-order over the weekend so I could get release day shipping, but I totes forgot so I just put it in now and just went with Store Pickup instead.

Wasn't planning on buying it at launch but with Best Buy throwing a extra $10 reward at me I figured I may as well nab it now.

 
So , remind me please anyone who had preorders and have gotten them after their GCU expired.  

Is it better to make all my POST GCU expiring preorders shipping or store pickup to not lose discount?  or does it even matter?

I personally did shipping for all but one (Cyberpunk only showed in store option when I ordered the CE.) but I do not believe it matters. Just make sure the card on your order is valid for the dates of release so that you don't have to modify your order in any way. That's when you lose the discounts from my understanding.

FYI: Everyone who ordered Luigi's Mansion 3 from Best Buy might have to fight with support to get their $10. The 500 points is not showing as pending for me.

If I look at Modern Warfare, I see this:

$10 Certificate with Call of Duty Pre-Order 500
Base Points 21
My Best Buy Gamers Club Bonus 21
 
And for Luigi's Mansion 3 I see no mention of the $10/500 points preorder bonus. I only see this:

In the past, there have been times where I've had no pending 500 reward points and still received the points. I wouldn't worry too much. If after 20 days have passed and no points, contact CS and they'll add the missing $10 rewards.

Yeah, it should sort itself out, especially if they get some early complaints. It is good information to be aware of though, as mine also does not show the bonus. One issue here is LM3 was added to the program very late, so they might need to make adjustments. I'll check back in a couple weeks and contact them if it doesn't show up. It might be worth a post on their forums though so it brings it to their attention - there is already a thread about it.

 
My Luigi's Mansion 3 is late, but hopefully the $10 will come soon. Want to use it for another preorder before my GCU expires.

 
Add one in the bucket for the LM $10 bonus. No signs of pending points... We'll see what happens in a couple of weeks! 😜
 
Do any of you guys know if preorders count towards elite status when you initially make the order, or does it not count until the order is fulfilled and you receive the game?

 
I didn't have the $10 bonus for LM3 on my pre-order since i placed it back when I still had GCU in March, I hope I still get the $10. Having to deal with their shitty customer service sucks ass.

So how did you get them to price match seeing it would need to be a pre order? Did you take a picture of the empty space at Walmart to that had the unit tag? That's a good idea, curious how you got them to match.

I go buy one at walmart that day, that the receipt with me, they change the pick up price and return one of them later to Walmart. I did that with Luigi so I could start playing the night before and returned the best buy one to walmart unopened.

Just a heads up. That Link in the email will expire quickly once you open it for the first time. So do yourself a favor and take a screenshot of it so you'll have the coupon when you find something. The coupon doesn't expire quickly but the link will.
