Edit: Found my receipt. Gamefly.com/reportaproblem Hope I didn't miss my return period.
Wonder if they are the same price in store...
They are in the weekly ad so prices will be the same in store.

I got Conviction for this price with the @Gamer coupons a while back. i played it for a bit. Right now, it's collecting dust until I get tired of COD:BO...
You are insane if you don't pick up Conviction at this price.
Or you lack conviction if you don't pick it up.
I could never get into the other Splinter Cell games, is this one different enough to give it another shot?
Yes, definitely

I have a few of the other Splinter Cell games but didn't really get into it as I did this one.
I probably played a few minutes worth of SC: Double Agent and have played through every level of SC: Conviction including all the Deniable OPS levels and downloads. It's so much fun.

Am just like you, mate. I didn't like the first 3 SC games -- so much so that I never picked up Double Agent. When Conviction was $12.99 at BB earlier in the year, I opted to try again because reviews said the game was very different (much more action oriented) and boy, are they right.

Conviction is a completely different game from prior SC titles. The only piece that really even connects it to SC is the use of stealth, but this might as well be Batman with a gun, only with amazing mechanics and excellent gameplay design.

Played and couldn't stop playing until I beat it. I wish the campaign was longer (I don't play online) but there are also extra maps to go through (and I cleared those, too).

Only game I have that I've played through everything (minus online) for. An amazing title and @ $9.99, a must-buy for action game lovers and fans of TPS. Conviction has pretty much set the bar for TPS games; so many titles today have ripped off UbiSoft's control scheme from it.

Hopefully my BB has a copy of SC:C tomorrow. I'm going to return the Lost Planet 2 I didn't open and exchange it for a much better game (according to reviews).

There's a bunch of sales today, but I imagine there's another thread listing them all. I work at a Best Buy and just got done putting out 600+ new gaming price tags (about half are expired sales/games that are becoming end of life). I picked up Pokemon Heart Gold for $20 myself.

Pretty tempted by Conviction as I loved the demo and I've got $15 in RZ certs. Probably grab that and Batman.
people here forgot to mention that you can beat sc in about one sitting and that it's very repetitive
This would matter if you were paying MSRP but for $10, why not?

I've never played a Splinter Cell game before but I'll be picking up Conviction based solely on romeogbs' description. In for Batman with a gun for $10.

I definitely wouldn't say it is Batman with a gun, but I guess we all see things differently. For example, I consider the first three SC games to be far superior to Conviction. That's just me. I didn't hate Conviction, it was alright, but to me, if I want a straight up action game, I can find much better. If I want a straight up stealth game, I can find better. If I want just an above average blend of these two, than Conviction fits the bill.

Conviction is still better than the terrible 360 version of Double Agent though. And it is also easily worth a ten dollar asking price. I am not trying to take away from the deal, just commenting on the game itself.

i rented it and was satisfied with what i got out of it.

i'm sure you'll enjoy it. you'll get loads of more fun out of batman though. that game was amazing.

sc was a run-of-the-mill stealth game for the cod generation and nothing too special.

just my opinion.

Thanks OP. Picked up PoP and remembered I had an old gift card so I ended up getting it for free.

I think I read someone say that their Best Buy was sold out of Conviction? :?: Or maybe not. :???: Well, talk about irony:

I stopped by my Best Buy last night and there were AT LEAST 20 copies on the shelf (and they were all the initial prints of the game with the Assault Rifle pre-order code). The store also had quite a few copies of Prince of Persia with a pre-order code for an extra character skin...but I passed on that one. My backlog is STILL 20+ games deep, but I MIGHT cave and buy PoP later this week.
Batman Arkham Asylum Game of The Year Edition is $19.99 with free shipping for PS3 and the 360.
Along with Conviction, I picked up Arkham Asylum (FINALLY...I'm not sure what took me so long ). But I couldn't decide which version I wanted (Xbox 360 or PS3), so I just bought both. I figured I could play the Xbox version for achievements and play the PS3 version for Joker. I'm not really THAT into trophies as I am into 360 achievements...even though I managed to get 3 Platinums in the first 3 months I got my PS3 last year (and I've just been using it as a blu-ray player since...the poor thing needs to have games played on it again :hot:). Everybody says that Batman AA is a good game, so it should be THAT good of a game to experience on two systems, right? :whistle2:?

Well damn. I already picked up ConvEction :360: (haha) and Batman AA :360: for $15 on Amazon so boo to that! I like your reasoning behind picking up both and I may just spring for the :ps3: version. Hmmm.

Also, to reiterate, the :ps3: Batman AA GOTY is $20 on Amazon.com.

damned BB 5th Ave in NYC is closed for the rest of the day! I find this out AFTER I go out hoping to snag SC:C since it's pretty dead outside today after the blizzard yesterday. It's pretty stupid since they emailed me saying my order is ready for pickup! Anyone else having "Shipping is unavailable for this item" show up when they try purchasing through BB.com? Needless to say I'm annoyed...

Given that the 360 version of DA was the definitive SC:DA (meaning if you think it's terrible, wait till you try the PS3 version), that's a funny (though somewhat true) statement.

With that said, I enjoyed SC:C, it wasn't as good as the SC 1 and 3 (I found Pandora to be lackluster), but it is a decent change for a series that was getting somewhat stale.

Also, in for PoP:TFS, been meaning to buy it on Gamefly but kept forgetting about it.

Grabbed Batman :360: last night after hitting two Best Buy locations trying to find it. Spending a whopping $8 after Shopkick coupons makes me quite happy.

Somewhat related, but I highly recommend using Shopkick if you're an iPhone user. You'll earn points for simply walking into stores that many of us already frequent (Best Buy, Target, Westfield malls), and points can be redeemed for various giftcards from said stores and others.

Picked up Splinter Cell: Conviction tonight at Best Buy. I have never played a Splinter Cell game before but I figure even if I hate it it's no big loss at $10. Thank you OP.

Picked up PoP tonight at Best Buy, its only 10 dollars so thats not bad. I know it probably isn't the best of the series but I loved the other games in the Sands of Time saga that I had to pick this up. Thanks OP.

Does anyone think that the world cup game is worth it at this price. Im debating...seeing as how I have FIFA 11 and I know the price on this will probably plummet even further.

If you're picking it up instore, check all the copies of Prince of Persia. I managed to find one buried that still had the "exclusive sandwraith skin"
so many acronyms in the title

+1
 I had to shorten it because the full titles would not fit.

I updated the op. Amazon price matched :360:SC:C for $9.99 and Beach Audio @ Amazon has 10 copies of :ps3:2010 FIFA WC for $12.93+shipping.
