Do I have to be a Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked] member to qualify?
Yes, in order to qualify for the promotion customers must be a Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked] member at the time the pre-order is picked up or shipped.

If I am not a member of the Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked], how do I join?
You can only sign up for Gamer’s Club [Unlocked] in store. If you are signing up the day you pick up an eligible pre-order, the pre-order exchange and [Unlocked] sale must be completed on the same receipt.

Is this offer available for both in-store and BestBuy.com purchases?
Yes! Pre-orders and purchases placed both in-store and on BestBuy.com qualify.

Does it count on all editions of the game?
The offer is applicable on all Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game such as special editions, limited editions, collector’s editions, etc. (subject to availability). PC, Wii, or any other platform of any of the titles does not qualify as a purchase towards this promotion.

Can I purchase multiple of the same title and still qualify for the promotion?
You can only receive one $20 certificate for each individual title, regardless of version or platform.

There are twelve titles on this list. Can I get 12 $20 certificates if I pre-order and purchase all of them?
Yes! With this offer, members are eligible for up to 12,000 Bonus Reward Zone points if they pre-order and purchase all games.

How do I link my Reward Zone account to my BestBuy.com account to ensure my purchases are tracked?
Check out this handy post by Kyle-BBY with instructions on how to do so.

How long does this promotion run?
The promotion will end 7 days after the last game is released.

When will I get my certificates?
Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked] members will receive their $20 certificate approximately 30 days from the date of pick up or shipping of each title as it is released.

Will I still receive my regular RZ points for making the purchases?
Yes, customers will still receive everyday points per the Reward Zone program rules.

Am I still eligible for all additional offers that might be available for the new games such as DLCs or free merchandise?
Yes, customers are still eligible for additional offers they may come available with these new releases.

If I return any of the games, will I still be eligible?
Any game returned will be disqualified for that title’s $20 certificate offer.

If I pre-order and/or purchase any of the above listed games using a Best Buy gift card or Reward Zone certificates, will they count as a valid pre-order and purchase towards the $20 bonus certificate?
Yes. A pre-order and/or purchase with a Best Buy gift card or Reward Zone certificates will count as an eligible purchase toward the $20 bonus certificate offer. The Reward Zone program rules regarding earning points when a gift card or certificate is used still apply.

If I find a lower price on the game will Best Buy price match?
Yes! Best Buy has a price match guarantee which can be found here.

If I receive a price match from an in-store or BestBuy.com purchased game, will I still qualify for the $20 bonus certificate?
Yes. A price match done in-store or on BestBuy.com within policy will not affect your eligibility for the $20 bonus certificate.
$20 Reward Zone Gamer's Club Unlocked for Dummies

1) You will not get your $20 RZ until around the 30-35 day mark (after purchase). Stop worrying about it until that point.
2) The RZ website is far from accurate. Proof in point, the RZ silver bar. Again, see #1. Patience is a virtue.

What does this mean on a purchase?
- RZGC UNLOCKED PO 10 DISCOUNT - Your 10% discount for Pre Owned Games. This will show up for ANY purchase (gaming or not) as long as you are Gamer's Club Unlocked.
- PS-(system)-(game) i.e. PS-X360-RESIDENT EVIL 6 - This is your preorder being deducted from the purchase of the game.

Preorder DLC Bonus - You need to have an email address associated to your Reward Zone account. This is the email address they will send your DLC code to. It typicially can take a day to obtain this. Potentially up to a week. Note your luck of getting this by the time you get home is a crapshoot. Wait a week and then call customer service if you haven't received.

FOR YOUR POINTS...
If your physical receipt shows like below, you should get your $20RZ preorder bonus.

EXCHANGE

Original Tran (Cust Serv Pin) Date

Return Items
Pre-order SKU PS-(system)-(game) 5.00-

Sale Items
SKU Name of Game for above 59.99

The complaining about these points/DLC need to die down. Come on guys/gals...

Heres a random question... i looked through the OP but didnt see a definite answer. I still have the buy 2 get 1 free coupon from my welcome packet.... if i preorder 1 copy of madden 13 and buy 2 more the day it comes out can i use the coupon and still get the 20 and 10 dollar credits?

From the OP (inside the 'FAQ' spoiler):

Can I purchase multiple of the same title and still qualify for the promotion?

You can only receive one $20 certificate for each individual title, regardless of version or platform.

In a word: no.

No, because in order to apply the coupon to the pre-ordered game they'd have to do a return/rebuy on it. That would void your $10 coupon and $20 rz bonuses.

I thought some new titles were going to be added? Unless I missed something, it doesn't seem like any new titles have been added since this was announced (except maybe Black Ops 2).

Been really busy lately, so I skipped a lot of posts. I just want to make sure this is correct before I preorder...

I can PO madden for store pickup and use a $30 RZ cert and still get the $10 code right?

I can also still pm since half of it is on my CC, even though the receipt will say $29.99 on it right?
The only bad thing about this is that they never include pc games
Damn. I was going to go tomorrow to finally get a Gamers Club membership, that may derail that plan. On the other hand, the monthly coupons are worth it, no?

if you can pay another way pay another way people have reported that the rz cert has caused them to not get a code and some people reported getting it with the rz cert

Any way to verify you'll be included in the deal? I signed into myrz.com and it says I am part of the Gamers Club Unlocked. I preordered Borderlands 2 and FIFA 13 on I think Monday this week, and I preordered Madden 13 online last night. Or is it just a wait it out kind of thing?

I'm just wondering because as much as I love Best Buy and their deals, the employees always seem to tell me different things all the time. Very friendly, but they don't know whats going on half the time. Can't blame them for not being all knowing with a part time job but I'd like to know lol.

You just need to be a GCU member at the time of pickup, and I think you have to buy the game within its launch week. It doesn't matter if you were GCU member at the time of preordering. You can even sign up for GCU on the same receipt that you get your first game.

Gotcha, I appreciate it :) I just have to double check because I never know with what I'm told there. When I went in to preorder, the girl told me that it was a past promotion where they gave a $20 gift card that day if you preordered the game and bought the magazine for $5. Wut?

Dammit, while waiting for my $10 code to come in to use on Madden pre-order, Madden went in unavailable status for in store pickup, so no double dipping on madden for me, guess thats what I get for waiting too too long even though I know damn well they will have more than enough copies in store.

so i didnt see the answer in the pricematch FAQ, but how is a pricematch handled on store-pickup orders? will i have to call the number or is it handled in-store like a normal purchase?

Any order made on bestbuy.com including in-store pickups must be price matched by calling it in.

Yes, I price matched NCAA last month down to 49.99 at Gamestop. Called in, told the rep my zip code and they looked it up online to see if it was in stock, but that was my 2nd call. First rep tried calling a local store, who went and told the rep that I was on the phone with the price was 59.99 (obviously wrong).

So took 2 phone calls, but only about 10-15 minutes out of my day for $10 so very worth it imo.

Did you still get $10 savings code and $20 RZ certificate along with points added to your account?

TRUS has Madden for 45, but I don't want to lose others for only $15.

Yes I got my $20 RZ and $10 savings code no problem. Just do the price-match after you get the $10 code, if you're worried about losing it you can either order it onto a physical gift card or (what I always put all my gift cards on) a pitch-in card.

Guess I'll try it out, but don't want it to be looked frowned upon for double dipping.

It's not double dipping everything is within their policy. When I called both times neither of the reps even mentioned the RZ certificate or the $10 code.

I've done it a lot. Around five to ten times. If you PM from BB's website, it's easy.

Otherwise, it's a total crapshoot. I've had to talk to hicks, people who have no idea how to use their headset, and people who have no freakin' clue as to how their policies work. Half of them are probably using a phone for the first time, judging by how many times I get disconnected or transferred to nowhere.

I've had to explain that the price match period begins when they actually send you the game, not when it's pre-ordered. I've had to explain that I can price match stores within 25 miles of the shipping address, not 25 miles within the closest BB store. I've even had to explain that they price match other stores in the first place. And I've explained that I don't have to go to the store to do it.

And when that's all done, they seem to handle it however they want. Some call the store and give you a credit right there. Others pass it on to a "research department". Others look it up online. I had one woman look it up on her phone because the computers didn't work.

In the end, I've always gotten the price match, since I was entitled to it, but it ain't always easy.

Call CS using their phone & let them speak with the store rep, since the requirements have already been confirmed by the rep it's now just a matter of them completing the process. It shouldn't be that hard but...

Was able to get it pre-ordered for in store pickup this morning, problem solved.
Couple questions about the RZ certificates: How long does it take to get them and can you use more than one on a game?
It takes 30 days to receive it. Yes you can use as many as you want on a game.

Just got an email to pick up Madden tomorrow. I hope that means I won't have any trouble if I go to the midnight launch.
Cancelled my olde order yesterday and preordered at my store, still havent received the andrew luck dlc for either order
You went to the store to preorder? Why not preorder online and get the extra $10? It is still available for preorder online right now...

Madden 13 is the first Madden I will have ever bought on release day. $20 pre-order promo, and $10 over $50 online order promo made the deal so sweet :D Just got an email with the Andrew Luck code, whatever the hell that is.
So if you only get the Andrew luck code does that mean I won't get the Walsh and Jerry rice dlc?
Walsh and Rice come after the game releases.

Luck you can get earlier because he can be used on Madden 12 as well.
So if you only get the Andrew luck code does that mean I won't get the Walsh and Jerry rice dlc?
All retailers had the Luck DLC with preorder. I got mine literally five minutes after I ordered it on Amazon even though I canceled it a month later to get in on this deal, so now I have two Luck codes.

But yeah, you should get the Walsh and Rice DLC tomorrow.
Amazon has a $15 credit.
I know, but I have BB credit I'd prefer to use. Will probably go with Amazon though since BB has no incentive other than me just not having to use real money.

Same here. I haven't gotten Madden on release day ever. Not because I wasn't a big enough football fan, but because I don't like football games enough to warrant a day 1 purchase.

And I probably will not be getting this for myself anyway. I will most likely be gifting this.

Great deals like this are hard to pass up.

I did the same, generally id wait until BF for a $30 deal, but getting the $30 in credit is nice.

If you have your RZ account connected and it has GCU on it, i should automatically get the $20 coupon right? And when i go to the store to pick my game up that should also trigger the $10 so i should have both of them within 5 days? I have a feeling i'll have to battle with BB to get all of my credit

The $10 pickup code will be emailed to you within 5 days.

The RZ in conjunction with GCU cert is treated like an ordinary RZ cert--30 days from the pickup.

You will probably see those 1,000 RZ points pending within a week. This is how it usually goes for me. Hope that answered your questions.

Awesome thank you, so it will all be automated and i won't have to deal with BB employees adding something for me. I'll just patiently wait for my codes

Just go and pick up the game at the store. Just have your order number ready and a state issued ID.

Should be automated assuming you signed in online when you placed your order. You should be good to go.
