Do I have to be a Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked] member to qualify?
Yes, in order to qualify for the promotion customers must be a Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked] member at the time the pre-order is picked up or shipped.

If I am not a member of the Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked], how do I join?
You can only sign up for Gamer’s Club [Unlocked] in store. If you are signing up the day you pick up an eligible pre-order, the pre-order exchange and [Unlocked] sale must be completed on the same receipt.

Is this offer available for both in-store and BestBuy.com purchases?
Yes! Pre-orders and purchases placed both in-store and on BestBuy.com qualify.

Does it count on all editions of the game?
The offer is applicable on all Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game such as special editions, limited editions, collector’s editions, etc. (subject to availability). PC, Wii, or any other platform of any of the titles does not qualify as a purchase towards this promotion.

Can I purchase multiple of the same title and still qualify for the promotion?
You can only receive one $20 certificate for each individual title, regardless of version or platform.

There are twelve titles on this list. Can I get 12 $20 certificates if I pre-order and purchase all of them?
Yes! With this offer, members are eligible for up to 12,000 Bonus Reward Zone points if they pre-order and purchase all games.

How do I link my Reward Zone account to my BestBuy.com account to ensure my purchases are tracked?
Check out this handy post by Kyle-BBY with instructions on how to do so.

How long does this promotion run?
The promotion will end 7 days after the last game is released.

When will I get my certificates?
Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked] members will receive their $20 certificate approximately 30 days from the date of pick up or shipping of each title as it is released.

Will I still receive my regular RZ points for making the purchases?
Yes, customers will still receive everyday points per the Reward Zone program rules.

Am I still eligible for all additional offers that might be available for the new games such as DLCs or free merchandise?
Yes, customers are still eligible for additional offers they may come available with these new releases.

Yes. A pre-order and/or purchase with a Best Buy gift card or Reward Zone certificates will count as an eligible purchase toward the $20 bonus certificate offer. The Reward Zone program rules regarding earning points when a gift card or certificate is used still apply.

If I find a lower price on the game will Best Buy price match?
Yes! Best Buy has a price match guarantee which can be found here.

If I receive a price match from an in-store or BestBuy.com purchased game, will I still qualify for the $20 bonus certificate?
$20 Reward Zone Gamer's Club Unlocked for Dummies

1) You will not get your $20 RZ until around the 30-35 day mark (after purchase). Stop worrying about it until that point.
2) The RZ website is far from accurate. Proof in point, the RZ silver bar. Again, see #1. Patience is a virtue.

What does this mean on a purchase?
- RZGC UNLOCKED PO 10 DISCOUNT - Your 10% discount for Pre Owned Games. This will show up for ANY purchase (gaming or not) as long as you are Gamer's Club Unlocked.
- PS-(system)-(game) i.e. PS-X360-RESIDENT EVIL 6 - This is your preorder being deducted from the purchase of the game.

Preorder DLC Bonus - You need to have an email address associated to your Reward Zone account. This is the email address they will send your DLC code to. It typicially can take a day to obtain this. Potentially up to a week. Note your luck of getting this by the time you get home is a crapshoot. Wait a week and then call customer service if you haven't received.

FOR YOUR POINTS...
If your physical receipt shows like below, you should get your $20RZ preorder bonus.

EXCHANGE

Original Tran (Cust Serv Pin) Date

Return Items
Pre-order SKU PS-(system)-(game) 5.00-

Sale Items
SKU Name of Game for above 59.99

The complaining about these points/DLC need to die down. Come on guys/gals...

I got a code today already.

Same here. I got my premiere club email from best buy about 20 minutes before the store opened today. I preordered online Saturday for store pickup today.

I hope I get my rewards points eventually. The lady at customer service didn't know what to do with my gamers club number. I thought that had to be put in again at pickup.

hi guy im new here but i have gamer club unlock 4 months now never get welcome pagkage when do it come it say i get buy 2 get 1 free coup y it take so long i get 10% bonus on trade but never package who do i complain 2.

I do all my BB purchases online with in-store pickup. I got my Borderlands 2 DLC code via email from Best Buy before I even picked up the game today.

Ug, I'm going to sound old here, but can you please use full words and not text shorthand? I find it hard to read. (periods and non run-on sentences are helpful too) I'll give your questions a try though.

You're asking why you haven't received the welcome packet yet?

The welcome packet gets sent out every few months, so you may have just gotten unlucky with signing up right after a batch went out. If you want to find out for sure, post on the Best Buy Forums. Note that they take 3-5 business days to respond, so don't get upset if they don't answer immediately.

Same here. You guys should avoid the hassle and just preorder online with in store pickup. Always got DLC code same day and no problems with $10 savings code or $20 gc for preorder.

Awesome! Was able to price match toys r us for the $20 gift card! So I got a $20 gift card + $20 rz which equals a net $20 for borderlands 2 launch day with all the pre order goodies! Can't get better than this..

No more $10 savings code, sometimes more of a hassle for price adjustments.

I know just saying I had no problem with it during promo. PM only takes a call though I haven't bothered doing it myself.

I'd like to avoid any potential issues. :)

Now that I think about it, I'm not really sure why I preordered in-store in the first place...:whistle2:k

Little pissed at my experience. I pre-ordered the deluxe edition back in June. I went to the store tonight with my receipt and they didn't pull it. They went through a list of names and I was nowhere to be found. Fortunately they had one copy left on the floor, but it was a bit mangled by the spider wrap. I paid with reward zone points and gift cards. Somehow they messed up and had to void out the original and start the process over again. Whatever they did resulted in me getting e-mailed two different pre-order codes.

I picked up my copy of Borderlands, but I don't seem to have any codes. Wasn't I supposed to have gotten one for the starter guns? Or do you get those some other way? Nothing on the receipt that I see either.

Yeah you should have received the premier club code. It gives you 3 or 4 gold starting guns, a relic with +5% rare weapon find, a gold key for that special chest in sanctuary and access to the mechromancer when she is released.
I got a code today already.
No code via email for me, I have a feeling I'm gonna have to fight tooth and nail to get that and the 20 promo credit. Not a good experience so far with my first BB preorder.

I called the Best Buy and got a guy in the gaming department that knew what to do... because he got his copy without a code too. I'm not sure what he did, but it required a manager over ride, and then he gave me the code over the phone and they also then emailed me the code. Annoying, but I have my code and I just redeemed it.

So it's the "Premier Club" and that's what gets you the guns and character? If so I'm now set.

This thing is turning into quite a mess over on the bby forums... As it should be. This could be handled so much better if employees were all on the same page and people were trained on how to handle preorders and answer questions about them. Oh well.

When I read all of these Best Buy horror stories I get nervous about pre-ordering future titles like Black Ops II Hardened...

Me too I have four games pre-ordered there because of the $20.00 bonus plus I was thinking about doing a fifth one.

If I sign up for Unlocked in store and a few hours later preorder a game online, then the promo should take effect right? The reward zone website lists a date that is exactly one year from the day I did this so I think I should be good. I received the Unlocked welcome emails a few days later and just hoped that it knew I was an Unlocked member when I preordered.

Be afraid.. be very afraid..

My experience with Borderlands went super smooth... my gf and i both picked up our copies and the guy called in somewhere to make sure he did the DLC right. Came on the receipt as its supposed to.

Is there going to be a pricematch wiki anywhere for all the preorders???

I had a awful experience at my Best Buy today picking up my preorder for Borderlands 2. I did not get my code that was supposed to come on the reciept. The gaming rep was little to no experienced and had no clue what he was doing. I was doing a trade in as well and he couldnt even add my gamers unlocked. I asked about why I dont have my premier club code he just shrugged his shoulders and said I don't know. And this folks was the manager on duty of my local Best Buy.

I have a feeling they screwed up my 20 buck rz credit as well

Guys go to www.shift.gearboxsoftware.com and create a account. Then in game click on the extras tab and log in (this is for Xbox, I think you link psn and steam on the sift site) to get a extra golden key. Enjoy!

May this whole bl2 preorder stuff is mess. Luckily they rang my preorder up right and got preorder bonus through email this morning

BB would only pm the $10 GC in the TRU ad, wouldn't give me the extra $10. Supposedly they had me down for a PC preorder too, so I guess I will have to call to get my $20 cert as I bought a PS3 copy.

So I ended up getting my $20 posted to my account plus another $10 for the inconvenience. So with the $5 inconvenience gift card for giving me the PC preorder DLC instead of the PS3 version at the store, along with the extra $10 from reward zone inconvenience, I made $15. I would say my bad day has turned into an awesome day!! Now time for an all night Borderlands sesh
also did u use 1 of your golden keys? i heard its better to save them till u reach a higher level.
Since I had 2 golden keys, I decided to use one. I got two purple rarity sub-machine guns that were both relative to my level. So yes, the higher level you are when you use the golden key, the higher level the gun you get.

I feel like everyone should have had this mentioned to them in the OP or title or something.

Ugh. Premier Club was supposed to be on the receipt? I got shafted. Customer service processed my pre-order as a return and sold the game straight up.

Same transaction so I hope it'll be easy to deal with through customer service, but I think I'm going to cancel all my in-store pre-orders for this promo and move everything online. Probably won't get the $20 cert bonus either. What a pain.

I suggest checking your email in the off chance it might be there. But yeah, it does sound like you might have got shafted.
I didn't get any code on my receipt or email. My receipt says EXCHANGE on the top as well. Ugh! Anyone I can contact about this?
Exchange is correct. That is how pre-orders are processed.

Just call and complain to CS service and in the end if they still don't give you extra credit for the inconvenience, just ask them in a angry manner if you can at least have some points awarded to your account for the inconvenience and I guarantee you theyll do it. They give out certificates like candy when you complain

you should get it via email, 24-48hrs after pick up. My reciept had the same thing
Exchange is correct. That is how pre-orders are processed.
Yep, only be worried if it says Return on the top of your receipt. Also, the pre-order code was suppose to print on your receipt but if it didn't the BB mod Kyle stated this over at the BB forum

"We are cross-checking those transactions on a daily basis and emailing out codes to make sure we fulfill on the preorder offer. In these cases, you will likely see your code arrive via email the day following your purchase of the game (Ex: purchase 9/18 & no code on receipt = code will arrive sometime 9/19 via email)"

So show a little patience if you haven't received your code yet.

^This. Your life won't end and planning on complaining to get RZ certs is just childish. BBY should get it right but behaving like a 2 year old when things don't work says a lot about who you are as a person.
