Do I have to be a Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked] member to qualify?
Yes, in order to qualify for the promotion customers must be a Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked] member at the time the pre-order is picked up or shipped.

If I am not a member of the Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked], how do I join?

Is this offer available for both in-store and BestBuy.com purchases?
Yes! Pre-orders and purchases placed both in-store and on BestBuy.com qualify.

Does it count on all editions of the game?
The offer is applicable on all Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game such as special editions, limited editions, collector’s editions, etc. (subject to availability). PC, Wii, or any other platform of any of the titles does not qualify as a purchase towards this promotion.

Can I purchase multiple of the same title and still qualify for the promotion?
You can only receive one $20 certificate for each individual title, regardless of version or platform.

There are twelve titles on this list. Can I get 12 $20 certificates if I pre-order and purchase all of them?

Check out this handy post by Kyle-BBY with instructions on how to do so.

How long does this promotion run?
The promotion will end 7 days after the last game is released.

When will I get my certificates?
Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked] members will receive their $20 certificate approximately 30 days from the date of pick up or shipping of each title as it is released.

Will I still receive my regular RZ points for making the purchases?
Yes, customers will still receive everyday points per the Reward Zone program rules.

Am I still eligible for all additional offers that might be available for the new games such as DLCs or free merchandise?
Yes, customers are still eligible for additional offers they may come available with these new releases.

Yes. A pre-order and/or purchase with a Best Buy gift card or Reward Zone certificates will count as an eligible purchase toward the $20 bonus certificate offer. The Reward Zone program rules regarding earning points when a gift card or certificate is used still apply.

If I find a lower price on the game will Best Buy price match?
Yes! Best Buy has a price match guarantee which can be found here.

If I receive a price match from an in-store or BestBuy.com purchased game, will I still qualify for the $20 bonus certificate?
$20 Reward Zone Gamer's Club Unlocked for Dummies

1) You will not get your $20 RZ until around the 30-35 day mark (after purchase). Stop worrying about it until that point.
2) The RZ website is far from accurate. Proof in point, the RZ silver bar. Again, see #1. Patience is a virtue.

What does this mean on a purchase?
- RZGC UNLOCKED PO 10 DISCOUNT - Your 10% discount for Pre Owned Games. This will show up for ANY purchase (gaming or not) as long as you are Gamer's Club Unlocked.
- PS-(system)-(game) i.e. PS-X360-RESIDENT EVIL 6 - This is your preorder being deducted from the purchase of the game.

Preorder DLC Bonus - You need to have an email address associated to your Reward Zone account. This is the email address they will send your DLC code to. It typicially can take a day to obtain this. Potentially up to a week. Note your luck of getting this by the time you get home is a crapshoot. Wait a week and then call customer service if you haven't received.

FOR YOUR POINTS...
If your physical receipt shows like below, you should get your $20RZ preorder bonus.

EXCHANGE

Original Tran (Cust Serv Pin) Date

Return Items
Pre-order SKU PS-(system)-(game) 5.00-

Sale Items
SKU Name of Game for above 59.99

The complaining about these points/DLC need to die down. Come on guys/gals...
No, I just want to beat it before playing AC3 and I really want to start playing it right when I get home from picking it up. I know I should take my time with it since there's a bunch of things to do but I figured I could just come back to it in the future and replay it or something.
unless i am mistaken, i thought Ac3 has a whole diff storyline, and main char than Ac:REv?
You heard correct.
Actually if he preordered it in store (not in store pickup) and it was just the standard edition he possibly could depending on the cashiers though as with everything.

Sort of, all of the Ass creeds are connected in a way. Like in rev., it tells you the story of the first ass creed. So idk. Nobody tell any spoilers please lol

Whole new Animus character(Altair and Ezio before), but still Desmond

Just off topic but after playing through all the AC's and having to wait months before each one, I must say I have no idea wtf is going on in the story anymore

I just played 2, Bro, and Rev back-to-back-to-back and I STILL don't know what's going on in the story anymore.

All I know is that I like it, and I want more of it.

Still looking for an answer to this, but does anyone know if you can use RewardZone certificates to buy a Best Buy gift card? Basically converting it into a gift card.
Whole new Animus character(Altair and Ezio before), but still Desmond
that is what i meant by that, i just can't remember the chars name off the top of my head
Alright, thanks for the info.
You wouldnt want to though since the rz certs lower tax (unless you arent taxed on gift card then thats different)

About Best Buy extending this promo for upcoming 2013 titles, I would recommend CAGs to pre-order close to 30 days before release date or at least until pre-order bonuses are revealed. Best Buy seems to have problems including promos for customers that pre-ordered before they are announced unlike amazon.

UPlay rewards for AC3 have also been revealed by Ubisoft.

At this point, it seems like it'd be a bigger pain to cancel now than to just wait and hope for the best. :\

Unless your pre-order is for a special edition or collectors edition(which has a chance of selling out early), I think its better to play it safe by ordering 30 days before release date for standard editions. Lots can change from now till release date like additional pre-order bonuses/promos.

Picked up a AC3 X360 preorder tonight. Seemed like it wanted me to pay for the whole game right then and there. At least please you can pay up front if you want. It also printed out my code on the receipt, so I don't have to fuss with that like usual.

Happened to me to. I guess if you preorder in the 48 hour window right before the game comes out, you have to pay in full. At least that's what I was told.
Any east coasters waiting out in line for the midnight opening? Can we get a report on how large the crowds are?
probably small. because half of the north east has a pouring rain and wind storm over it.

Best buy is seriously still having midnight releases in the east coast tonight?

I know GameStops in the east coast canceled theirs
Any east coasters waiting out in line for the midnight opening? Can we get a report on how large the crowds are?
you do realize that nearly the entire east coast is being hit by Sandy right? Several GS's cancelled midnight launches

You don't. They just remove the game's sku, and it will ring up fine.

Yeah the guy who rang up the 360 preorder in-store tonight said I couldn't do it because it rang up full price. Just going to do it online for an in-store pickup tonight and hope the $20 comes through. I wasn't even planning on getting it but I just wrapped up Revelations and the ending made me want to start playing AC3 asap.

Same here, I literally just finished revelations a few minutes ago. The ending was sort of like "wtf just happened?" And made me eager to get my hands on AC3

Yes, I guess I should have said eastern time zones....
All best buys and gamestops are closed in the east coast.
To those in the path of Hurricane Sandy, we hope you and your family and friends are safe.

As a precaution for our employees and customers, SOME Best Buy stores are temporarily closed

I tried it when I got the $100 from last year's deal and it worked. I had to pay $5 to activate it or something.
Also, BBY just launched a new preorder system in stores. You can now put down any amount you want up to the full amount (minimum of $5) but can only do that once (can't put down $5 today, $20 later, etc.). Also, it's a different kind of transaction so the whole return/exchange thing will be a thing of the past.

This only applies to titles releasing in 2013 going forward, so all the current titles will still be under the old system.
Can you do B2G1 on pre-orders? And does BBY PM B2G1?
And what are the chances of trying to get AC3 for $40? If anyone posts successfully I will head out tomorrow. I didn't pre-order, but can live without the bonuses.
Same here, I literally just finished revelations a few minutes ago. The ending was sort of like "wtf just happened?" And made me eager to get my hands on AC3
Heh pretty much my reaction. I was going to wait for AC3 to eventually drop to $10, the same price I picked up Revelations for but nope. That ending pissed me off and now I need to know what happens.:hot:

I started printing out certificates in anticipation of ACIII tomorrow and my GF didn't have the points pending from BL2 on her account. I was like ahhhh wtf!? Then i realized that the rep never asked us to sign my GF up for unlocked status when we preordered BL2 and we forgot to ask. So we lost out on $20 cert for her buying BL2. Crap!

My GF is still planning on getting Halo 4 and FC3 for co-op though... suppose its still worth it.

I dont think you want to know....

Its worse than ME3

I noticed AC3 is $49.99 at Kmart this week and for one day on Tuesday at TRU. Would I be able to pricematch one of those deals and also get the $20 RZ credit at Best Buy?

Yes.

I spoiled it for myself since I wasn't able to hit a BB today, yeah I'm definitely waiting till it hits under $15 too.
I dont think you want to know....

I thought ME3's ending was ok, but loved the entire game up to that point and honestly I didn't care too much since I had so much fun with the rest of the game. If AC3 is the same way, I won't have any regrets. Besides, I intend to play and finish it quickly and trade it in while the value is still high to get most of my money back.
Yes.
Great, but how will it work exactly? I don't want them to somehow cancel my pre order in the process and ring it up as a new purchase.

When you go up, make sure you bring it up before they start the transaction. I believe I said "Hi, I'm here to pickup Resident Evil 6. I have a preorder for it, and Fry's has it for $50 this week." When I handed them my preorder receipt, I also handed them a printout of the Fry's website for the game to make it easier too. Got those points 2 weeks after purchase too.

Sounds good. I just hope they do it correctly.
woot! got my preorder for ACIII picked up, got my preorder code already, and prove matched Kmart ( after some confusion over the coupon)!
Did you manage to get them to give you a gift card too?

Just got back from the midnight release in South Tampa. Was about 10 people including myself. I was able to price match Kmart (make sure to bring it up while they are getting your game) without any issue. My receipt shows exchange so hopefully nothing goes wrong with the rz cert (they assured me that nothing would). Also got one of those limited coins. From what I saw they only brought out two packs which I think contained 10 coins per package.

20121030014125.jpg

Also they did print out the DLC code on my receipt. Welp off to play.
Did you manage to get them to give you a gift card too?
no they said they could do the price but no GC. they thought about it though. at least my store Internet price matches!

Don't you just love getting a new game for the PS3 at midnight and popping that baby in just to see it install and watch that line move a mm every 3 seconds...
I cant believe all the white knights on this site anymore. You do understand the concept of cheap ass gamer dont you?

That is to get the lowest price possible by any means. Good luck to all those trying to get BB to price match three games already bought with the preorder deal to get them to take 20 dollars off each game. I know thats what Im gonna try to do with BL2, Dishonored and Xcom

Get off your soap boxes, if Best Buy goes out of business I can Guarantee that it wont be because of game sales

It used to be hoarding, flipping or walmart returning that got people all riled up for christs sake, now its just getting out of hand
