i had the vita version at beat it. i never recal any of the controls hindering me during this version of this great game ! the only real gripe i had with this version is the bad load times

I got the Collector's Edition. There is no code on the receipt. Also I checked my e-mail and junk mail in my e-mail and did not get anything from BBY.

In the game there is a code to grant access to the Online Pass, Official Game Soundtrack, 48 Hour MP XP Booster, PS3 Dynamic Theme, PSN Avatar pack, and Pass for Future DLC Releases. This is all in a single code.

There is a code that gives the character DLC of Zeus and Isaac Clarke on Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale for ps3 and vita.

That is it. There are no other codes and no mention even of the pre-order hammer DLC that is supposed to come with pre-order at BBY.

You're supposed to get a Last of Us Demo code as well. It's supposed to be a separate code from the PS all-stars DLC from what I can tell on the unboxing videos on youtube.

Crap. I'm worried about my preorder bonus being missing too then when I come pick it up. I dunno who to blame, Best Buy or Sony. I wonder if this is also going to happen with my standard edition or if it's just isolated to CE's.

It actually mentions the Last of Us demo, it is not a code though. It just has instructions saying that it can be accessed from the disc once it is available.

There just is no mention anywhere about the hammer DLC.

It seems like it's only the CE. I just picked up my copy of the standard edition and found the voucher with the code for the characters and hammer without any problems.

I posted on BBY's Facebook page about having the Collector's Edition and not getting a code for the hammer.

I was told it should be e-mailed within 48 hours of picking the game up.
 
My Crysis 3 1000 bonus points just showed up as pending. It looks like they are processing these in batches as I'm seeing similar confirmations on other forums.
 
I got my Dead Space 3 points today and along with the Reward App for the last couple of weeks (500 points worth) just now earned a $30 certificate. So I wont have to pay anything for bioshock infinite now! :D
 
Can any one help me out? I picked up tomb raider last tuesday and I paid $30 rz certitificate and rest on my credit card. Do I still get my bonus preorder points? I only see purchase points pending and not the bonus points on my account.

The load times are the same on both, fwiw. My main issue was the motion controls with the archery, and the boss that requires you to uses them to beat it. The arrows never would move right for me using the motion stuff, and there is no option to turn it off on the Vita. Like I said, I blew right past that part on the PS3 tho. I'm sure some people won't have that problem with it, but I certainly wouldn't want to only have the Vita option.

You won't see the bonus points pending for up to 35 days from the day you picked up. If you don't see the points in 35 days, then you should panic. Otherwise, just be patient.

Have anyone gone an picked up their $5 pre-order God of War collector edition and not get it as they didn't pull them aside?

I'm afraid that I won't get it since I'm working right now and can't run to the store.

It is just one merged voucher code. The UPC is 711719991885. And yes, the voucher is inside the case along with the character dlc for All-stars Battle Royale.

I picked up the CE at lunch today and did not receive a the preorder code.
There was a dude there who had been waiting for over an hour while he was on the phone and an associate was on the phone.
They kept telling him they were emailing him a code right away, but he never got it. Eventually, they hung up on him.

I didn't wait around, I didn't have the time to wait around forever.
 
My store on 2 of 4 pre-orders had to go to the floor to get my "reserved" games. Ever since that, I call to make sure it's kept behind the counter. If out of stock it could lead to not buying it within 7 days or some manager discounting apologizing it $20 thus nulling silver PM potential.
 
any good price matches for bioshock and last of us? someone said Fry's has them for 49.99 as their pre order price? any price match that?
 
Here's a question that is, unlike many recent ones in this thread, not answered in the OP:

Are there any Day 1 deals on GOW:A? As in potential PMs to BBY? I haven't come across any yet, curious if anyone else has.

Someone mentioned PMing Amazon's $10 GC preorder bonus, but that's gotta be highly YMMV.

So - pre-ordering at BB doesn't mean a guarantee you'll get the game? This is a pisser... now I'm really worry on not getting one.
 
I thought I read some where that I didn't need to print out my RZ certs any more, that the cashier can apply them once I've given my acct info. Can anyone confirm this?

I remember something like that too but I don't recall where I read it from.
 
Some basic info. As of right now, if you issue a cert but do not print it off, they can access it at time of sale. BUT as of right now...if you do this they can NOT access your deposit from your pre-order. I was in my local Best Buy for 2 hours because of what this caused when I picked up my copy of God of War Ascension CE. It is still not resolved because I did not get the pre-order DLC bonus on my receipt (nor a mention of it being emailed to me on the receipt). They said I should get it by tomorrow but if not I need to call back.

My advice...print the certificate off, even if you just use the in-store kiosk to do it.
 
My store did not getting any collectors edition in besides one that was "OEM" or something. Said they would call me whenever they get them in but im going to call or leave a message on the forums because its kinda ridiculous that I pre-ordered and then didnt even get them in.
 
OTish, did anybody run into the issue they no longer send you email confirmations for in-store pick ups? I have a order that shows ready for pick up in my account, but never got the order confirmation email nor the ready to pick up email.

This happened to me today, when trying to pick up my CE. There were no copies held and no copies on the floor. They found that one had been set aside for an in store pickup, so they gave that one to me, since my pre-order was well before the in store pickup order. Sucks for whoever thought they were getting it. BB is so inconsistent with pre-orders, at least my store is. If it wasn't for the $20 certs, I wouldn't bother with them.
 
My DS3, Crysis 3, and MGR points all showed up pending today, without the need to call in. My base DS3 points were posted already, and I admit, I was getting nervous about the DS3 bonus points. I wonder if those who called in early will get another 1k added, because they couldn't wait.

About the GoW:A pre-order items, check your transaction management > services list once you've redeemed the code packaged with the game.

Not sure about the base game, but the CE one is just the standard bonus code for the CE, there weapon and skins are not a part of them.

The Customer Service person struggles to do the whole thing, and then informs me she can't apply my rewardzone certificate to the purchase for some unknown reason. Finally, to top it off - despite asking me for my phone number 3 times (and confirming my info on the keypad) - she doesn't apply my rewardzone status to my purchase either, which i didn't realize until later. Total time in store: 25-30 minutes, and I still have to enter the purchase into the rewardzone site and then hope I get the points credited correctly, which I doubt will happen without me having to contact them.[/QUOTE]

I preorder lots of games from bestbuy and this sounds like a typical experience for me. I rarely find someone in gaming and they can rarely find the game that should be reserved, and it seems like there is some register problem everytime i go
 
I wonder if the issue isn't 100% Best Buy's fault. It could be Sony's. Perhaps this is more limited then everyone thought it would be and Sony sent the copies out as best they could. I am not against this being the case seeing as how this actually makes the collectors edition....collectible, but I admit if I was in a situation where I am denied my pre-order because someone somewhere messed up. I would be ticked beyond measure.

has anyone here got any DLC for god of war printed on their receipt? I think it's all in the game packaging not on the receipt.

edit this is from a post at bestbuy forums: "For both the regular and collector's editions of the game, the code for the Mjolnir hammer and the Mythological Heroes Multiplayer pack will be in the package."

so what code would you be getting ont he receipt?

There has been so many times where I do a store pickup order, they tell me it's available I drive 20 min to the store and it's not there. They really piss me off when they do that. If they're going to take from my order then atleast notify me, they treat store pick up like crap

That should not effect the bonus points, I had to manually add my Tomb Raider purchase to my RWZ account and the 1000 bonus points were still added and are pending on my account.

I think this is all BBY's fault for not shutting down preorder when they reach their limit. I went in today to pick up my GOW CE and they had 1 left that was on hold for another person who preorder. The store got a total of 4 CE, 2 was already picked up, 1 sitting behind the counter and 1 nowhere to be found. They gave me the copy that was already on hold for someone because the clerk knows me by going there alot. I guess when the other person goes and pick up his CE they'll just just say he's SOL maybe. Never had a problem with a preorder for regular copies but CE is always something.

So I just checked today and lo and behold: my 1000 bonus RZ points for Dead Space 3 are showing. :::gasp:::

Last year the 1000 bonus points would show as a separate line item. This year, it shows as one lump sum of points awarded included with the game purchase.

Today would mark Day 35 for me as I picked up the game on release date while I had preordered back in January. There was no point to complain, cry, and call to customer service up until this day. I didn't bother with that mess. I just waited my 35 days and I was rewarded with my patience with the $20 cert I was promised. Not one bit of additional effort was required.

Some of you guys need to learn patience. Your life wouldn't be as stressful. Jesus....

Newsflash: Metal Gear Rising and Crysis 3 came out 2 weeks after Dead Space 3. I'll reiterate it again but of course I'm sure some people will feel the need to jump the gun and call CS for a manual adjustment anyways: There is no need to do ANYTHING for another 2 weeks regarding your MG:R and Crysis 3 preorder points. We're CAGs right? Let's not be DAGs here.

That UPC is definitely unique to BB. I checked both Target and TRU, and both were different.

yea that's probably why they tied the codes together so less people would be selling them
 
Anyone know the deal with this spend 10$ get 500 rz points tomorrow , I know there was a vote on the fb page but I couldn't find any thread or info on it other than that ?
 
that worked well enough. called and said my mgr and crysis 3 1000 points pending but not ds3. she instantly gave me 1000 points customer satisfaction and issues $20 cert. that was nice and what i wanted.

no idea bout that $10/500 points, but if it works with gift cards, hell maybe even if it doesnt, ill get a $10 psn card.

This is odd....I am trying to redeem my code from the God of War Ascension CE...and it is telling me the code is invalid. This is in regards to the one for the PSASBR DLC and not the actual CE content. The CE content was redeemed no problem. I checked the code over and over again and PSN is telling me the code is invalid or already redeemed. On the phone waiting for Playstation CS.

The all-star dlc code won't be activated until 3/19.
 
So I got my God of War collectors edition earlier, and as other people are saying it didn't come with a hammer (or the mythological pack) codes, either in the game or on the receipt. Hopefully they figure this out since that stuff looks pretty cool.
