This was just not a good year for DS games. The two best games (in my opinion, CT and DQIV) were ports--here's hoping for some originality in 2009.

I honestly haven't realized it until now but I missed out on a lot of 2008 DS releases.. I don't think I've beaten any other 2008 games other than CT.:whistle2:k

Time Hollow, Advance Wars: Days of Ruin, Professor Layton and the Curious Village are honorable mentions.
 
Where's the love for Daigasso? I haven't gotten to other games on the list since it so infrequently leaves my DS.

I mainly played older stuff (partners in time, Puzzle Quest and others). But Dragon Quest was by far my favorite game. I'd nominate Tecmo Bowl Kickoff as most disappointing.

I'm playing The World Ends With You now, and I'm going to hate when it's over. It's absolutely one of the greatest gaming experiences I've had in a while.

.... I might've said TWEWY if I had opened it yet. I got it for Christmas, but I'm saving until I finish CT since this is the third time I've owned the game and I've failed to beat it thus far :hot:.
 
Only thing I've bought this year is Castlevania: OoE--which I think is so-so. Need to get back to it as I haven't played it since November.

I have The World is Not Enough coming from Goozex. Other than that I have no interest in other 2008 games as it seems all the good games are genre's I generally don't care for like JRPG (though I had to give TWENY a shot), SRPG, text adventures, casual games, random stuff like Trauma Center etc. And that was pretty much confirmed by looking through teh lists here. :D Great year for fans of those types of games though!
 
I like to reward originality. I find it kind of annoying that three Square Enix games, two being rehashes (with ugly graphics) and one being a pretty barebones port, are near the top of the list. C'mon people -- branch out a bit!
