best price for a 3d tv?

it's too early to jump on the 3DTV wagon. Wait till more content is released for it, and price goes down, if you really want a new HDTV, just buy an LED, LCD or Plasma, whatever rocks your boat.

On the other hand, if you really want the 3DTV, and you have plenty of money to spend, then go to Amazon, probably the best deals you can find on anything really.

I'm about to buy a 60 inch Mitsubishi DLP for $800, its 3d ready.

Search for WD60C9 at Dell.com, slickdeals and fatwallet have the coupon to knock it down to $800. DLP's aren't flat panels though.

I'm not buying it for 3d but "3d ready" is nice for down the road when it'll be cheaper. You'll still need the glasses and probably an adapter separately, as well as a 3d source.

Guys, buying 3DTV's now is like buying that first 40" Plasma set for $12,000. A year later you have a $4000 set with shitty specs.

3DTV is in its infancy, lots of competing technologies and all of it extremely overpriced. The Content isn't there yet. By the time there are enough movies coming out in 3D, the technology will be significantly cheaper AND significantly better-performing.

Dafoomie: The DLP Mitsubishi sets are good, but if you're going to spend a grand or thereabouts, look into 3D ready DLP Front Projection units....60" is big until you can get 120" for the same money. Just something to consider if you haven't already. Good Luck!
