Best way to use headphones when using HDMI for video?

What options are there for using regular 3.5 mm headphones when video is being output via HDMI?

Hook it up to your av receiver.

i run hdmi direct to the tv and optical cable to the receiver. plug headphones into receiver and i'm good

Not that I can think of. Unless your TV has a headphone jack, but I haven't really noticed one in awhile. (My older downstairs 1080i CRT has one in the flipdown next to the "FRONT" set of A/V inputs)
