BestBuy Last of us , Gran Turismo 6, Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z ps3 $19.99 Deal Is DEAD!

I'll get the Last of Us remastered when that gets cheap and wait for the GT6 XL edition to come out and get cheap. DBZ can definitely get cheaper too. I've reached the point where if it isn't a game I intend to buy and play at launch I don't mind waiting for it to reach 10 bucks.

I don't get how you can really compare DriveClub and Gran Turismo, they're different styles of racing games.

GT6's new features over 5 include over 300 more cars, most of which are "Detailed" as they call it now, about 10 extra tracks, new online modes and features, removed leveling so any car can be bought as long as you have the credits (they replaced it with stars that you earn for each race to unlock more races), enhanced physics and visuals, and more bonus mode types including moon driving.

Overall, I feel GT5 at the time was a more impressive installment, but GT6 is a damn good game and only enhanced on GT5's success. They did get rid of a few things, such as the Online Dealership, Used Car Lot, and B-Spec, but it still works out well the way they made the game.

Also, if you want to get the PS4 version of TLOU, GStop is offering $25 for the PS3 version if you put it towards TLOU Remaster. Could be worth it, especially for GCU members.

Do the math on this. If you have GCU, then just buy the PS4 copy at Best Buy for $40, save $1, and cut Gamestop out of the equation.

I don't know.....dbz games don't tend to get much cheaper than this. and with GCU its roughly 17 dollars. which is good enough for me.

TLoU is I could have waited on but went for it.

p.s. that new Scarlet Johanssen movie under my skin is beyond horrible.

I did the math and I agree. Buying at BBY is the best option if you have GCU.

Option 1: BBY TLOU PS3 to flip over to PS4 copy at GS:

PS3 copy at BBY - $20 - 20% GCU = $16

PS4 copy at GS - $50 - $25 = $25 balance.

Total cost $25 + $16 = $41

Option 2: Buying TLOU PS4 directly at BBY with 20% GCU discount

$50 - 20% = $40

You save a $1 buying directly at BBY.

The only thing I didn't take into consideration is the PUR discount if any at GS. I know GS will be giving $25 trade in credit for TLOU PS3 toward PS4 version but what I don't know is if the PUR 10% can stack on top to make that TIV even higher. If PUR is in the equation then GS would be the place to go if you were planning on purchasing.

So I pretty much almost gave up on this thread after seeing the posts about GT6.  Anyways is there a BOGO going on with this sale or B2G1free?  I asked this because I found a copy of Injustice PS4, Beyond 2 souls and KH 1.5 Remix.  Looks like Injustice came out to 23.99, B2S 15.99 and KH 1.5 FREE. :O  Can anyone clarify this?

:x any chance Sony will offer TLoU Ps3 for free with PS+? How much is the DLC for the game?

I could be wrong, but I believe 10% PUR bonus does stack, but it would be 10% of the normal base value, not the $25 promo value. When I traded it earlier this month, the base TIV was only $9, so it still wouldn't make sense to make the extra trip unless you happen to have $25 or less in GS credit and zero Best Buy credit.

I never finished TLoU when I first got it due to..well I can't remember. I think I traded it and meant to rebuy. Anyway. I didn't much care for the combat but I did like the story, is it worth picking up on ps3 this cheap? I have a ps4 but I honestly don't care about the graphical upgrade. Yeah it looks good but when it isn't exactly AAA gameplay, is it worth $25 more?

I don't think you will find many people who say it's not worth picking up for $20/$16. If you find you like the game, you can always pick up the PS4 version later, which has the DLC on the disc along with the graphic upgrades. Popular opinion is that the PS4 version will drop in price soon enough.

Has anyone ever had weird credit authorization problems with Best Buy? I used to be able to make a ton of online orders just fine, but now whenever I try, it says "card failed to authorize payment, try a different card" or something similar. But I don't have any different cards. It's just a regular mastercard, not prepaid or anything. I called Best buy, they said call my bank. My bank said they don't have anything to do with it; call Best Buy back. I call best buy and she tells me that anything to do with authorizing payment involves the bank, so I call the bank a final time and again, they tell me they don't have anything to do with it.

So am I just basically screwed out of buying stuff online from best buy?

does it allow you to make the orders and then as soon as the order is placed you get a cancellation email right away or within 2 mins?

You just played it for an hour.. That's not even 1/5th of the game. You probably just got past by the prologue and the first 2 chapters. Progress a bit more, it took me like 16 hours to beat my first playthrough. To me it was a great game throughout, especially the final 1/4 of the game. Darn that was some crazy shit.
I don't think that someone who disliked the first hour of TLOU would much enjoy the rest of the game. It's pretty consistent throughout in tone and pace, except for part of the winter act and the very end of the game. TLOU consists almost entirely of alternating between oppressive trial-and-error combat and exploring ruin porn while Joel wearily recounts the fall of civilization to Ellie.

I put TLOU aside last summer after a few hours because I couldn't stomach any more. I picked the game up again several months later and forced myself to finish it, but I didn't have a better time with it. I get that Naughty Dog wanted to make trekking across post-pandemic America feel brutal and messy, but it was just too exhausting.

Yes, either that or it doesn't even let me make the order. It will say the order is processing and then red text saying that my card failed to authorize for payment. One time it DID go through but then I got an e-mail two minutes later saying that there was a billing problem with my order and that I needed to contact best buy.

What if you but two copies of TLOU PS3 or GTR...

only spend $34 out of pocket, with GCU.....

son I am disappoint.

ouch honestly if that the case and your bank is saying nothing wrong then I would have to say that for some reason you got banned from buying online from best buy. It has happened to people before

WTF. I've never bought more than one copy of a game and I barely have any orders through them... I wonder if it was because I tried to order Persona Q Wild Cards edition for $42.39 after GCU during that price mistake... that's when I started having problems with it. But other than that, I can't think of anything I did wrong. If that's the case, this really sucks. It still lets me order through PayPal, but I don't like doing that because if the order gets cancelled, Paypal doesn't refund the money back to my account. I asked Best buy if my credit card was flagged or anything and they said no. The lady on the phone suggested getting a new credit card. I think it is BB though because my card works for amazon, pizza places and everything else. Just not best buy.

BBY to GS works for me. I had $17.40 on a gift card that I have been sitting on for months. I was wondering my cheapest way to get TLOU and this solved my problem. Right now I only have GS credit and didn't see a viable way to get a cheap copy. So $5 kongregate coupon , 17 BBY and $20 in GS credit equals a win for me. And hopefully there will be a promotion that gets me 40 in tiv!

if you prefer using PayPal then just get the Paypal debit card it works just like a normal debit card and pulls the fund from your Paypal balance. Which also means if you use the PayPal card and a order get canceled or need to refund a purchase it does it automatically back to your Paypal balance just like a normal debit or credit card refund would do

Not to question you, but why was the game on so many game of the year lists last year if it was so tedious? I'm only asking because I don't want to do an online order on it if it sucks.

if you like immersive AAA story games like mass effect, assassins creed, dragon age, etc you will like The Last of Us.  If you hate games that kind of force you down a single narrative and prefer open world RPGs or FPS' like Skyrim or Borderlands or Minecraft then you probably want to try the game to see if you'd like it.  You can always buy it used at Gamestop too and return it within 7 days if its not to your taste.

I agree with what tearsintherain said. If you can lose yourself in the setting and the story, you'll probably enjoy TLOU very much.

I'm not trying to discourage anyone from playing TLOU, only suggesting that if you have a bad first impression, that may not be likely to change later in the game.

Thought I had until midnight PST to make an online purchase for GT6 but I was wrong...$17.43 after tax might be hard to beat for awhile.

Me, I fell into the hype that it was going to be great. But, I also was not a believer in the hype of Naughty Dog. Uncharted 2 was the only great game I felt they ever made. I love games with great stories and gameplay. TLOU just seemed to be so tedious sneaking around and dealing with the "zombies". I get its post apocalyptic but if the story and gameplay doesn't grab my attention within an hour then, sorry, you missed my train. I don't downgrade it because other's love the game, but it wasn't my cup of tea.

not in the op lol .... but .....

picked up the last copy of ratchet & clank into the nexus for $12 after GCU. best deal of the bunch imho and it came with a psn code for quest for booty.

I went to pick up my copy of The Last of Us at Best Buy. I bought it online with store pickup. The lady grabs a ps3 console with the last of Us bundle and tries to give it to me. I tell her I didn't buy that. I just bought the game. She goes I was wondering why it was so cheap.

Smart move for 2 reasons that would be the day

1-Sercurity actually asks for your receipt
Or
2- You get the last bundle of a customer who forces the issue enough for them to watch the tape & w/i 30 days you`re charged for the systems & they nuke all of your accounts. Daring you to come back to the store to admit what happened. Not even sure what the rules are from your bankcard or CC end either.

Either way you won`t wanna be that guy

Hey guys I ended up getting two PS3 bundles on the mail. Not sure what to do on this one. The SKU is right on the receipt. Going to return but I want thoughts. Everyone keeps telling me to keep it.
