Beware Ad-Aware users, new version will hijack your browser

Seems like Ad-Aware is a fairly popular antivirus software so figured I post this. Looks like they were bought out by a mal-ware company and now when you update to the newest version, it can potentially hijack your browser. Here's the link that I found it from:

Thanks for the heads-up! I don't actively use Ad-Aware anymore either, but I'm not sure if I still have it installed. Going to do something about that.

Glad I dumped them a while ago and went with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

Ad-Aware had gotten too big and bloated a few versions back and Malwarebytes worked so much better, so it was a good swap to that product.

Yep, I've always used Malwarebytes over Ad-Aware.

I stopped using AdAware a couple years back, basically when they switched to being an anti virus product. Way too slow. Don't put it on clients computers anymore either. For a long time it was great.
