"On the whole, Affair Bureau is enjoyable but frustrating at the same time, and it’s hard to shake the feeling that the game could have been so much more."

Pros: Dynamic art style. Interesting mini-games.

Cons: Occasional mislabeled item and typos. Some scenes too dark. Short. Crime computer is under-used.

Rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars

"There's a lot to like about Jewels of Cleopatra -- especially for match-three fans. While the challenge may be lacking for some casual players, it's still a fun, addictive diversion. And, that's something you can't de-Nile."

Pros: Attractive, nicely-animated graphics. Quality, thematic music. Addictive gameplay.

Cons: Only one game mode. Low challenge level. Critter attacks lack variety.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

"If you used to munch on Alpha-Bits cereal as a young'un then you already know the joy of forming words in your bowl using the soggy letters. For the uninitiated, however, there's Word Krispies, which takes that pastime and turns it into a full-fledged word game...If players stick to Classic mode, they'll find a solid story-driven word game whose unique package injects a healthy dose of fun into the equation."

Pros: Interesting concept, subtle graphical touches, cool power-ups, recognizes "naughty" words!

Cons: Action mode too hard, difficulty spikes at later levels

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Yet ANOTHER SpongeBob game, this time a collectible card game battler. But don't think it is anything as deep as Magic: The Gathering or Yu Gi Oh! Very simple...

iWin users gave it a 4 out of 5...

"Novices and experts alike are encouraged to give the game a try. Hoyle Miami Solitaire might not be the most awe-inspiring offering of its kind, but it does an excellent job of capturing both the authentic pastime (and metropolis on which it's based)'s sunny disposition."

Pros: Art deco styling; Huge assortment of games; Collectible mansion accessories; Sound and music; Appropriate for beginners.

Cons: Static, lightly-detailed backgrounds; Rehashes certain challenges; Two play modes only.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"A fantasy-themed puzzler, 4 Elements offers a magical mix of match-three, hidden object and spot-the-difference gameplay, nicely blended to provide an engaging, enchanted experience. The supernatural fairytale has been lovingly concocted with all the ingredients necessary to endear it to gamers. So, skip the review and buy it! Okay, don't skip the review. Read it first, and then scoop up your copy of 4 Elements."

Pros: High production values including gorgeous visuals. Ethereal music. Superb story integrated with gameplay.

Cons: Somewhat repetitious play. Limited gem colors and power-ups.

"The verdict: The Mystery of the Crystal Portal is a good, though not stellar, hidden object game whose laid back set of rules is sure to provide a relaxing experience free of the stress of time limits and penalties for random clicking or using up hints."

Pros: No item repetition. Items make sense in context of scene. Pretty panoramas.

Cons: Discrepancies in sequence of events. Hints don't reveal containers. Random clicking to find containers. Abrupt ending.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Theme-wise, The Clumsys is a riot. The graphics are wonderful, with extra touches like the objects that float back and forth onboard the Apollo shuttle to represent zero gravity. Each child's antics, coupled with a story that explores many interesting eras of history, will keep players entertained across the game's impressive length. "

Pros: Fun and original theme. Great production values. Interesting scenery and challenges. Long length with replay value.

Cons: Some ambiguity about which items belong in a scene.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

There was no Gamezebo review.

The average player review on Reflexive was 3.5 out or 5.

I have personally played this one. While these aren't the best renditions of sudoku etc, every puzzle type is playable and there are tons of puzzles. Not bad.

Gamezebo review:

"If you're a fan of high fantasy (and match-three puzzlers to boot) get ready to hold onto your helmet: Evil sorceress Morganna's back to haunt the world once again in Arthurian-themed head-scratcher Runes of Avalon 2, which challenges you to save a peaceful kingdom from her baneful magic. As we happily discovered though, a host of new backdrops, incantations and 100 keenly-crafted levels also make a featured appearance as well, allowing you to easily while away the afternoon keeping both the pesky witch, and boredom, safely at bay."

Pros: Level designs. Range of spells. Ability to spark chain reactions. Bonus mini-games. High-quality audiovisual presentation.

Cons: Instructions not always clear. Forgettable extras. Can blaze through certain stages once solution's determined. Theme/sound effects can grate.

Gemini Lost - A strategy game that runs even when you aren't playing. In the same style as Virtual Villagers.

I will update this post every day for the new game each day.

Gamezebo review:

"Gemini Lost can be dangerously addictive, though there isn't much reason to return to it once you've completed the game. That said, there are scores of tasks to accomplish that truly make you feel like the hard work you'll pour into keeping your townspeople alive and well is worth the effort. Ultimately, this is what will keep you coming back until the job is done."

Pros: Crisp artwork. Deeply addictive goals to strive for.

Gamezebo review:

"Let's get something straight right off the bat: Gamezebo doesn't give out high scores - such as 4 stars - just because a game offers a collection of puzzle types under one roof. In other words, more isn't necessarily better. But in Hoyle Enchanted Puzzles, while the puzzle themes will be immediately familiar to casual games, the developer added enough of a new twist to most of these digital diversions to keep us glued to the PC for hours, forever trying to unlock additional stages."

Pros: A collection of casual games under one roof. Enjoyable twists to many of these classic games. Many bonus levels available. Must unlock new game elements. High replayability.

Cons: Not all game types will appeal to everyone. Some games better than others.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Plan It Green - Similar to Build-A-Lot except you are helping cities develop green technology.

I will update this post every day for the new game each day.

Gamezebo review:

"It might sound a bit odd, but Plan it Green is a great way to forget real environmental problems for a few hours by solving them virtually. No matter how much you are interested in ecological issues, this game is definitely one of the strongest entry into the resource management genre since its original pioneer, Build-A-Lot."

Pros: Two modes. Challenging yet not frustrating. Well-balanced pace. Environmentally-conscious theme. Great graphics. Interesting addition of energy credits.

Cons: Goals mostly require specific actions, so limited ways to beat levels. Can't replay specific levels later on.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Even though Napolean's Secret goes a bit easier on the player than it really needs to, it's still a very well-done game that's far more challenging and polished than the vast majority of hidden object games currently available. The voice acting can be a bit tedious (the accents are straight out of Bad Acting 101), and the music can be overpowering, but as long as you turn down the volume you'll enjoy yourself."

Pros: Lots to do. Well done spot-the-difference levels. Lovely visuals.

Cons: Too easy to get hints. Really bad voice acting.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Fishdom - Very popular Match 3 game with an aquarium builder built in.

I will update this post every day for the new game each day.

Gamezebo review:

"Fishdom is well-implemented and easy to play. While it won't give you the same level of challenge (and combo rewards) as Bejeweled, it's a cute tile matching game for non-competitive casual gamers who want a title to play in short spurts. If you're looking for a screen saver and enjoy decorating tanks for simulated fish, then it's even better."

Pros: Good music and relaxing atmosphere. Good pacing. Tanks are customizable. Game doubles as a screen saver.

Cons: Not original. Limited power-ups and combos. Moderate challenge.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars - Player rating: 4 out of 5 starts

Gamezebo review:

"Success Story is a tough game towards the middle, but the pace is generally good, and it definitely keeps you on your toes. Towards the second half of the game, some users may feel overwhelmed by the complexity of the customers' orders. It can get frustrating to manage the lids and multiple clicks, and the customers are very unforgiving. If you're good at multitasking, and want a real challenge, you might appreciate the difficulty in Success Story. If you get easily confused, however, it's safe to say that you won't have much success at all. "

Pros: Hectic, fast-paced challenge. Original layout, with constantly changing orders and ingredients.

Cons: Frequently used fast food theme. Can be very difficult to advance towards the end. Tough to tell some ingredients apart when they appear in an order. Very little margin for error.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Obviously this is one of those games I have to recommend based on its addictive qualities alone, because I feel that any game that can glue me to one spot for more than an hour at a time these days is well worth the money. I know some might see Trial of the Gods as simple looking, but you shouldn't let a game’s simple exterior deter you from trying it out."

Pros: Challenging puzzles. New elements as you progress keep the game fresh. Groovy soundtrack. Interesting story mode.

Cons: Grainy graphics. 3D Animations out of place. Print-out board game a strange inclusion. Hint system a little too subtle.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

So, yes, now there will be 2 games for $2.99 each day... the Daily Deal and the Catch Of The Week. I will keep this thread updated with both deals.

The first Catch of the Week is a great one....Azada. Great puzzle game/graphic adventure.

Gamezebo review:

"While I drew some analogies between Azada and Myst, be aware this isn't really an adventure game, per se - it's more of a collection of puzzle games tied together by a story. Most adventure games let the player roam around an environment talk with characters, store items in their inventory and solve puzzles to advance through the game.

Azada is one of those games you need to discover for yourself, instead of a Gamezebo writer spoiling it all for you. If you've a fan of puzzle games or want a casual game with a story, you'll no doubt have fun with this clever and refreshingly unique mystery."

Pros: Challenging and unique puzzle game. Attractive graphics. Entertaining story. Can play completed puzzles if you like.

Cons: Some players might not like a mishmash of puzzle types.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"So many games based on movies or books range from nothing to write home about to downright dismal, but Charlotte's Web: Word Rescue delivers both good gameplay and nice touches (like the quote book) that will appeal to fans of Charlotte's Web."

Pros: Numerous goals to pursue in the same level; Two game modes; Lots of levels.

Cons: Repetitive music; Edited dictionary.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

So they have 2 cheap deals now? That's great. Already have Azada, so I will hope for something good next week!

No Gamezebo review of this game...

Legacy Games Blog gave this 10 second review of Trio: The Great Settlement:

"This is much more fun than I thought. It's a cute, colorful match 3 game, but it feels a bit like Tetris since you can't let the orbics reach a certain line in the game. It includes weight, stickiness, and bounce properties, almost like World of Goo. Then, you also add the village building theme, so there's lots to do. There's even a relaxed mode. The only let down is that it gets very tough and hectic from early in the game."

"If you're the rhythmical type and your appetite for 80's music is as rapacious as The Fridge's appetite for fast food, you'll find that Downbeat is the ideal game for you, one that melds instant accessibility with a genuine challenge. So pull on those padded jackets, step into the spandex and get ready to enjoy some nostalgic finger tapping thrills."

Gamezebo review:

"There's no question that the game is fun while it lasts, it's just a shame that the game ends just when it's really starting to cook. Still, that's the beauty of the free trial. Try Cooking Quest by all means, and if you're having fun but have already reached the fourth or fifth restaurant by the time the trial is over, keep in mind that there's not going to be much more to unlock."

Pros: Neat twist of budget management. Fun puzzle-solving cooking and serving stages.

Cons: Name can apply to more than one item. Short. Objects and locations repeat frequently. Music loops awkwardly.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Player ratings: 4 out of 5 stars
