Gamezebo review:

"In fact, that’s probably the biggest issue with Hot Dish 2. It is a strong game in its own right, and definitely improves upon the first one, but feels more like a giant expansion pack than a true sequel. This said, it is a lot of fun to play and well worth downloading, but only if you didn’t fill up on the original."

Pros: Lots of food to cook in lots of places. Great graphics. Fun cooking mechanics.

Cons: Awful music. Tutorials are either on or off. Some motions aren’t detected well. A bit too much is the same. A La Carte mode is an afterthought. Cannot replay levels.

Gamezebo review:

"To be frank, it really takes a certain type of personality (say, those of us who suffer from OCD, or a love of micromanagement) to enjoy this sort of outing. Even more so when you consider the title's general lack of audiovisual variety, and overall nonexistent sense of personality, which can quickly lead to burnout over extended sessions. Good, bad, a cure for insomnia... it's really all in the eye of the beholder, however. Because Create a Mall is exactly what the title promises, nothing more, nothing less - and given how unglamorous the process can be in real life, you shouldn't expect much more than that."

Pros: Easy to pick up and learn; Follows simple economic model; Straightforward user interface

Cons: Lots of downtime; Needs more personality; Light on variety; Plays better in windowed mode

Rating: 3.0 out of 5 stars; Average player review: 4.0 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Still, true to form there are enough twists and turns in the gameplay to keep things interesting, and while the strategy seems like it hasn't yet been totally refined, Dairy Dash still gets the thumbs up for bringing the whole family in on the action and introducing a whole new way to play the time management format."

Pros: Interesting level twists. Unique theme. Whole family is playable.

Cons: Can't cancel a command. Similar graphics for first three farms. No items for keeping animals happy. Harder to chain bonuses.

Gamezebo review:

"While it's issues like these that prevent Elizabeth Find MD: Diagnosis Mystery from truly distinguishing itself, the medical theme is at least less overused than other hidden object settings, the gameplay itself is solid, and the cast of characters is interesting enough for those that like to pay attention to the story."

Pros: Hospital setting hasn't been overused. Interesting cases. Large cast of characters. Mini-games can be skipped.

Cons: Some illogical or make-work searches. Searches sometimes lack context. Some lazy writing.

Gamezebo review:

"It's getting harder for hidden object games to stand out when compared to successful blockbusters like Mystery Case Files and the Dream Day series, but one game that definitely deserves some recognition is Forgotten Riddles: The Moonlight Sonatas. Through clever riddles, a compelling story and admirable attention to detail, Blue Tea Games and Big Fish Games have created a sweet, if slightly short, seek-and-find adventure."

Pros: Clever and entertaining riddles. Compelling story and gameplay. New puzzle modes. Polished production values and great music.

Cons: Relatively short at 10 chapters.

There was no Gamezebo review of The Secrets of Da Vinci, however, this was originally a disc-based release.

Gamespot's The Secrets of Da Vinci Review:

It's generic to a fault, but The Secrets of Da Vinci still delivers a fairly enjoyable experience for fans of adventure games.

The Good

* Good-looking backgrounds and artwork
* mostly well-done voice acting
* puzzles provide a decent challenge, but there are enough clues and hints to keep you moving along.

The Bad

* Inventory management is a hassle
* constant backtracking means you'll see the same few areas over and over.

Rating 6.5 out of 10

Gamezebo review:

"Veronica Rivers: Portals to the Unknown might not offer anything outrageously different than other hidden object games but it certainly deserves top marks for doing everything extremely well -- from story and presentation to fun game-play and mini-challenges to music and replayability. In this crowded hidden object game it’s certainly one of the better titles in the genre to download and play this fall."

Pros: Highly polished. Different twist for each level. Great story, graphics and audio. Items are relevant to scene. Good replay value.

Cons: Mini-game puzzles too easy. Items you find aren’t used for anything. Only one game mode. “Hints” are actually solutions.

Rating: 4.0 out of 5 stars; Average player review: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Had Legacy: World Adventure been given more time to bake, allowing the developers to tweak the puzzles, create more challenging clues, and triple or quadruple the number of countries we can visit, it could have felt both fun and innovative. As is, it will likely prove to be a dull and repetitive drag for adults, and better suited to younger players or people who are looking for something not to taxing on the brain."

Pros: Classic race around the world story featuring likeable characters. Serves up some interesting geographical and cultural trivia.

Cons: Highly repetitive. Puzzles are easy to begin with and never get harder. Most text clues are far too obvious. Very short, with no replay value.

Rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars; Average player review: 3.0 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"But the reality is simply as follows: Occasional rough edge aside, the stunningly rendered and sweeping Southwestern-flavored soundtrack bolstered Westward III promises countless hours of happy adventuring on the open range. That goes double when you factor in collectible trophies and support for open-ended Sandbox play in three separate forms (relaxed pace scenarios, disaster-dodging options and bandit-foiling escapades, to be specific). As such, it’s sure to have fans of frontier escapades, tactical challenges and virtual dollhouses all screaming “yee-haw” with excitement, indeed."

Pros: Intuitive approach to real-time strategy. Sparkles with personality. Overall production values. High degree of replayability. Depth and challenge. Lots of little surprises to discover.

Cons: Repetitive sound bytes. Scattershot difficulty. Pathfinding issues. Can’t speed up the action. Next steps not always clearly defined. Necessary time commitment.

Gamezebo review:

"While overall Margrave Manor 2 delivers on storyline, appearance and mood, it has flaws that will most likely bother players so it is definitely a wise move to play the demo before you purchase this game. Seeing the same items on every screen quickly becomes boring, and you find yourself frustrated as you recognize them from the last ten screens you have searched. There is a lot of value in the re-playability of the game but since you are replaying screens with the same items all the time, it may not be that big of a value after all."

Pros: Beautiful hand drawn screens. Long length. Pleasant sound effects and music. Low stress game experience. Interesting storyline.

Cons: Images tend to repeat quite often. Too many of one type of mini-game.

Rating: 3.0 out of 5 stars; Average player review: 3.0 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Although the concept of transplanting the Dracula story into the present-day is a creative one, the gameplay doesn't always hold up its end of things. The biggest complaint is that some of the items to find are indistinct and too small, with a tendency to get obscured in the shadows. Players have unlimited hints that recharge over a relatively short amount of time, but relying too heavily on hints takes the fun away from the search. There are some clever puzzles woven into the hidden object fabric, like having to use a calculator to display the sum of one of the numbers on your list, but these kinds of diversions are too few and far between."

Pros: Choice of timed and untimed modes. Ample hints. Moody music. Neat story.

Cons: Items are frequently too small, indistinct or dark. No way to reset puzzles. Uneven difficulty in mini-games.

Gamezebo review:

"Anyone who regularly tunes into television networks like Bravo and Lifetime or dreams of DIY (Do It Yourself) stardom will feel an instant affinity for Home Sweet Home. An original, eye-catching blend of puzzle-solving and real-time strategy mechanics based on an innovative concept - you're the interior designer - the title's sure to resonate with would-be decorators of any style or gender."

Pros: Novel concept. User interface. Multiple play styles. Hundreds of furnishings. Charismatic presentation. Endless design potential. Feels like an interactive TV show.

Cons: Can place certain objects unrealistically. Tools can be hard to select. Finished workers run back to inconvenient positions. Various minor problems.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Apart from this lack of challenge, the game delivers the usual dash experience, without irritating bugs, a charming storyline, and adorable graphics. When it comes to quality time management games with quirky stories and interesting twists, PlayFirst still is the company to look at. Hotel Dash: Suite Success is as polished as it could be and will meet the expectations of most dash fans. The endless mode somewhat compensates for the easy story mode, so that there is also a challenge for the more experienced players."

Pros: Fast-paced. Two modes. Amazing variety of customer types. Wonderful graphics.

Cons: Story mode is extremely easy. Elevators do not work as smoothly as possible.

Gamezebo review:

"Big Brain Wolf offers up a whimsical good time for fans of classic comedy-filled adventures, but some of the challenges in the second half of the game may prove too difficult for many gamers to complete. As well, some of the puzzles assuming a basic knowledge of chess which is something not every player is going to have. Big Brain Wolf offers up a terrific package that you'll definitely enjoy, but you might not be able to enjoy it to completion."

Pros: Fantastic logic puzzles. Fun story. Great sense of humor.

Cons: Some puzzles assume a basic knowledge of chess. Difficulty ramps up drastically towards the end. Some of the humor may be lost on younger players.

There is no review of StarDrone on Gamezebo. It is an indie space shooter and not really a casual game.

Gametunnel, an indie game website, did review it, giving it an overall 7.5 out of 10.

"Stardrone is a blast. The gameplay is fun, unique, and addictive. The experience is fast, exhilarating, and challenging but also generally not too hard. The graphics and atmosphere are great and they are supported by subtle audio choices that results in a very hypnotic experience. It earned some extra brownie points for its Starcontrol references. The biggest gripe I had with Stardrone is that I found the controls totally confusing at first. After I realized what was going on though, I spent the next few hours in Stardrone bliss. This is definitely a game worth taking for a spin. "

Gamezebo review:

"While there's nothing particularly wrong with Destination: Treasure Island, there is also very little that stands out. It's a decidedly average game, and in such a crowded field, that makes it a bit of a tough sell. That doesn't mean that pirate-loving adventure game fans shouldn't take the plunge, but they just shouldn't expect to wowed."

Gamezebo review:

"Though technically sound, Travel League: The Missing Jewels is difficult to recommend. It's awfully short, it suffers from lazy puzzle design, and the art direction is uninspired. HOGs may be popular, but that doesn't mean HOG players will gladly consume anything developers throw at them."

Pros: Lots of scenes, and they never repeat. Enough hints to all-but guarantee you’ll never be stuck.

Cons: Short. Dull story. Uninspired artistic direction. Unbalanced hint system. Bonus puzzles are disposable. Some objects too vaguely labeled.

"We might as well be frank: Puzzle Quest remains one of the best things we've seen on the casual gaming radar to date. You're highly encouraged to take up arms and see for yourself why, choice of fantastical subject matter notwithstanding, this one's still a legend in its own right."

Pros: Incredible range and depth. Stunning presentation. User-friendly play. Countless side activities. Overall value. Bridges the gap between casual and hardcore.

Cons: Tough opponents. Can get repetitive. Harsh penalties for incorrect moves. More complex than the average casual outing.

The Puzzle Quest games are some of my favorite games of all time. The first one is a classic and an absolute steal at $2.99.

Gamezebo review:

"Love & Death: Bitten is the classic tale of boy meets girl, girl happens to be a witch, girl turns boy into vampire, boy terrorizes neighboring village where he meets another girl, non-witch girl falls for vampire boy. The story is a bit on the cheesy side, to be sure, but the game itself is simply fantastic."

Pros: Great puzzles. Beautiful visuals.

Cons: Sometimes a bit unclear. Unsatisfying bonus.

"Parking Dash is a challenging and gratifying time management sim that will satisfy both newbie players and long-time “Dash” fanatics. It might not be perfect but it’s the best spinoff we’ve seen so far this year."

"Mahjongg Investigations: Under Suspicion should please fans of deduction games, a la Clue, as well as those who enjoy clicking through Mahjongg-style matching tile puzzles. The developers most definitely get points for delivering a unique game experience amid all the copycat clones a casual gamer is bombarded with today."

Pros: A different kind of Mahjongg pairing game. Enjoyable story, writing and characters. Multiple game modes.

Cons: Takes a while to get challenging. Annoying sound effects and chatter. Graphics are only so-so.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

There was no review of Coffee House Chaos on Gamezebo since it is an older release.

Minutegamer reviewed it and found it lacking:

"Add to that, the graphics are pixelated in the Betty’s Beer Bar style, which immediately looks dated even next to the first Diner Dash. As for the sound, it repeats something like every four bars. I turned it off mid first level. It’s THAT bad. Do I have something nice to say about it? No. Not at all. If you’re looking for the next Diner Dash, it’s NOT HERE."
