A: No one knows but here is a prediction list based on release / leaks in the last few years to give you an idea of possible release dates.

Q: When are stores open?
A: Look above for store times located next to store ads.

Q: Can I price match on Black Friday?

Q: Does Best Buy's GCU stack with Black Friday items?
A: No. GCU does not stacked with Black Friday items. Best Buy does have early Black Friday sales if you are an Elite / Elite Plus member. Sometimes it has shown to work within the early minutes of those early BF deals popping up. But it's YMMV.

Q: Does GameStop's Elite and Elite Pro stack with Black Friday items?
A: Yes but only for used items that will be in the ad.

In general this entire BF seems underwhelming. Tons of games here should be way cheaper. E.g. I got No Man's Sky and Crash Trilogy for $16 each after GCU during DotDs..MONTHS AGO! Now for BF, where there's supposed to be unprecedented sales, they are more expensive and GCU is ineligible? Pft.

Also does anyone else with GCU feel like these are going to be regular sale prices in January but with GCU?

Neweggs ad sucks - so many of the same products have been on sale and for cheaper. They are clearly just trying to clear old stock without really competing, hoping the BF hype will trick people into spending. The only exception might be the evga Psu and some external HDDs.

Good movie sales are few and far between (same 4k movies same price as last BF lmao!)

The BF sales are generally weaker. I do like that Sony seems to be most with it for giving nice discounts on their first party titles such as Detroit and God of War, which aren't too old. Nintendo is like eh you can do $35 at most for most of these first party Switch games or about like 3 dollars off a 3DS version....take it or leave it. Most of the cheap stuff is decently old and similar priced to stuff last BF.

I'm not super crazy, though I will bite on at least 2 $35 Switch games (just got the thing....) and likely Detroit.

It just means less for the backlog, which is fine.

Agreed. The prices are still too damn high. BB is going to have to have these same prices just before BF or in Jan for me to bite so I can use GCU.

 
Yeah so far I’m getting God of War for $20, Dragonball Fighterz for $17, maybe Monster Hunter for $17 and Mega Man Legacy X collection 1+2 (if on sale) but other then that not looks to enticing.

Sucks that GameStop won’t reveal their ad until pro day is over. Bet some of these games are gonna be the same or almost the same price on Black Friday. Makes sense why they ain’t revealing it yet tho. Just pls give us a discounted my hero, dark souls trilogy and kingdom hearts story so far pls

Yeah, I was going to cash out more of my hard-earned dough on GameStop cards at Dollar General earlier, but I stopped myself from going back to buy more since there's no real confirmation that the Minecraft Xbox One S bundle will be $199 at GS on Black Friday. To be honest, I hate shopping at GS anyway, but their preowned deals are where most of my discs come from these days. So, I bought just enough in GS cards at DG to cover eight used games with the current "buy four used games for $20" deal. Like most CAGs, I don't really need those with my backlog, but at $5 per game, I just said what the hell. Everything that's new right now will be $20 by this time next year anyway. Well, maybe not Red Dead Redemption 2, but I don't have the space to install it anyway! :)
 
My launch edition XB1 failed to power up today. I got it working after messing around with the power supply and cables, but I think it's about time I trade it in and replace it.
1) GS appears to be offering $100 for it. Is that generally the best place to trade it in?
2) Thinking of getting one of the $200 BF offer for the XB1S, even though I already have Minecraft. Thoae are just white consoles right? Not the special edition Minecraft design?
3) Any thoughts on where I should look for the Kinect adaptor? I actually use the Kinect occasionally.
4) If I don't have a 4k TV (and not planning on it anytime soon), there's really not much point forking out extra $$$ for XB1X right?
 
Now that X is going to be $400 Sony would be insane to keep Pro the same price, especially since they put it $350 last year. Are they waiting for PS5 to drop it to $300 or what? Now's the right time, not later.

Sony is pissing me off with their complacency but they're making bank so grrr. I wanted a Pro revision by now but that might not come at all. I'm still on the fence about trading in my regular PS4 unless there is a good deal incoming. I'm just very disappointed in the overall sales outlook across the board this year.

It would be nice if ebay had some good deals going on and Target with hidden game discounts. I still don't know why there isn't a $35 or less Spider-Man deal. I just finally started playing God of War which I've had since it launched. I wish I had the patience to have waited with the sale price.

I know this isn't game related, but does any store have really good blu-ray deals for BF? I want Spider-Man Homecoming and Avengers Infinity War.

 
Has anybody confirmed these, "participating retailers", mentioned in the Microsoft teaser ad for the free GoW4 code with the purchase of a controller?
 
If you want to save money before Black Friday, this week's Dollar General ad has a deal where you can save $5 on a $30 purchase or save $10 on a $50 purchase of restaurant cards including Applebee's, Chili's, Domino's, IHOP, Taco Bell, and Wendy's cards. It runs from 11/11 to 11/17.

No, this isn't a video game deal. Yes, you might want to buy one of the Taco Bell cards for your boss who is a complete and total bastard to you everyday so you can watch him writhe in agony from the explosive diarrhea that one of the $5 boxes will give him.

I'm wondering the same thing. I'm looking out for the GameStop ad, and the eventual B2G1 sale from Best Buy. But we also have a Best Buy mystery cert to spend....

I figure stores are getting inventory of this on a shipment. They might not put them out on the sales floor until BF but they shouldn't be register locked so if you see one you should be able to buy it for the $200 BF price now.

 
We'll, unless GameStop has a bunch of killer deals on games, looks like its just going to be 2-3 games for me this year. That and a 2nd Xbox One X for my cottage. The Xbox One X bundles are too good to pass up.
