A: No one knows but here is a prediction list based on release / leaks in the last few years to give you an idea of possible release dates.

Q: When are stores open?
A: Look above for store times located next to store ads.

Q: Can I price match on Black Friday?
A: Price Matching differs from store to store. Here is the list of stores with if they PM or not on BF. You can also go here for further explanation on BF policy per store.

Q: Does Best Buy's GCU stack with Black Friday items?
A: No. GCU does not stacked with Black Friday items. Best Buy does have early Black Friday sales if you are an Elite / Elite Plus member. Sometimes it has shown to work within the early minutes of those early BF deals popping up. But it's YMMV.

Q: Does GameStop's Elite and Elite Pro stack with Black Friday items?
A: Yes but only for used items that will be in the ad.

I bought the Spiderman PS4 today and was considering buying an Xbox one S bundle that would come with the $50 gift card. What are the chances of me being able to retroactively apply the gift card to the PS4?

I bought the Spiderman PS4 today and was considering buying an Xbox one S bundle that would come with the $50 gift card. What are the chances of me being able to retroactively apply the gift card to the PS4?

I'm sorry I just reread your post... so you're wanting to buy an X1 and then return/rebuy your PS4 and use the $50 gift card to offset the cost of said PS4?

Forget PS5. Good chance Sony will re-release Spider-Man next year near the movie with a GOTY/complete edition. Makes too much sense and since all DLC will be done, why not?

Even as one who is mildly interested in having a back-up 360 (since MS' BC list will assuredly not include a lot of lesser known games), I would never bother with Gamestop's offer. Your time/effort/money will be better spent on securing a 360 off ebay.

 
were none of the blurays or tv show dvd sets available for early black friday at best buy? i had 9 blurays and tv show sets in my cart and one game since yesterday waiting for the prices to drop and just now the game went down to its black friday price but none off the blurays or tv show sets dropped.

Rarely do they put the Blu-rays on sale before BF. If they do, it's for Elite members.
 
If any my BB members were waiting for early access, the only thing that really seems to be on sale is AC: Odyssey. Not sure if someone can find other items.

Dragon quest XI , monster hunter world, among some others. But some stuff on Elite sale is not available at BF prices now for regulars. Totally not worth staying up for.
 
im pretty sure i got most of the tv show sets I wanted last year on the regular mybestbuy member early access last year. so the selection has definitely swindled since last year.

 
I remember early access for members always being poor. Assassin's Creed games always make the cut though Lol.

Was expecting Blu Rays to be on sale. Oh well. Got Final Fantasy 15:Royal Edition since it looks like the rest of the DLC has been cancelled. Don't wanna get too crazy cause I feel like some of these games will be at these prices in December when GCU can stack.

 
I dont get it, Call of Duty remastered is $15 on sale at BB for early access but Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition is pretty cheap everywhere Ive seen. Am I missing something?

Odd to recommend spending money when purportedly I dont have to, but maybe you know something I don't. Is gamestop that unreliable or do you know specifically in regards to this deal that its not worth going for?

Has Best Buy ever allowed the $1 pickup discount during black Friday? All the early access games are only available for shipping.

 
Blu Rays and 4K movies were on sale yesterday with Elite access. Only thing I think that wasn’t on sale was Avengers Infinity War I’m assuming it’s listed as a door buster only thing and will only be available online once Black Friday starts.

Physical Starlink is a massive rip-off, even at sale prices. The digital version DOES NOT REQUIRE THE TOYS, and it gives you nearly all of the ships/pilots/weapons that you would otherwise have to buy the expensive toys to get! Don't buy the physical Starlink guys!

DO buy the digital version, because the game is awesome - it is what No Man's Sky was supposed to have been.

Cyber Monday is a scam in about 90% of cases (this goes for all retailers, not just BB)-- the good deals are on, or over by, Black Friday, and then they turn around, raise prices from BF prices, and call it Cyber Monday.

BB usually brings back most of the same deals as Black Friday, but for 5-20% more... so yeah, GCU will work on CM but for MOST games (I'm sure there will be some deals) the BF non-GCU prices will still be better, or the same, as the Cyber Monday with GCU prices.

 
:eek: doorbusters are in store only right? X.x I'm not quite sure anymore since this year it seems like the rules are changing and everything is popping up on sale 5 days early.

Like most stores, BB has a generous return policy this time of year and there is no number limit restrictions on BF purchases (3 copies of the same thing per order, but you can put in as many orders as you want). While I agree that most cyber Monday deals are marked up BF prices, BB has always had several big games for BF prices with GCU stacking on top.

TL;DR Buy everything you want on BF, but closely watch BB cyber Monday for a couple great deals and return BF purchases

Feeling like I missed out on the Spidey PS4. I know it’s in some stores and will be in stores this Thursday but I assumed it would be available for shipping longer than half a day. I should have pulled the trigger when I saw it up yesterday morning. There’s a good chance online stock is being held back for actual Thanksgiving / Black Friday so I guess I’ll take my chances.

Yea I would rather jump into Starlink on Switch for 35 bucks (which I did) to get a physical Arwing/McCloud figure. Then if I really feel the need to upgrade, I'll just pick up the digital collection pack 1 for 60 bucks or just buy a few things when they go on sale. No way am I going all in on this game at 80 bucks digital without testing it out first. And I'm sure it will be back on sale this week at Best Buy.

Not sure why this game gets compared to NMS, other than the Flying from space to planet mechanic, what else is in common? NMS is a totally different beast now. I've played it since launch and have it on PC, PS4, and Xbox. But maybe I am missing something and Starlink will have that NMS vibe. I'll know soon enough.

That's cool, I just want ppl to be making informed purchases. They really don't advertise the whole "you don't need the toys" thing, you have to dig to get that info. This is one of the only times I've ever went digital, because I personally couldn't justify the price difference (at launch it was something like $80 vs almost $300 to get everything).

The game is VERY NMS, from the look and feel of the planets, discovering creatures, gathering resources - it's impossible to play the game without seeing the influences. It's just miles better IMO. I've tried NMS several times, after every major update, and I just can't get into it. It's way too slow paced of a game for me.

Looks like I’ll at least be able to get a small deal on Diablo for Switch at Meijer with Santa Bucks this Saturday. Otherwise it seems that it won’t be on sale.

I wouldn't be too worried. This is the primary console bundle Sony is pushing. Every store should have abundant supply. Last year, I stopped by several Best Buys and they had mountains of their promo PS4, and online stock of consoles has been fairly easy to nab.

Thanks. We are down one car this week so I'm not going out of my way to find a PS4 in-store. If I can't get it online I'll wait to see if our local Walmart has any left after the crowds have cleared out on Friday. I have a One X so I'm good on all multi-platform releases. I want to play Spider-Man, God of War, Uncharted 4, and Tetris Effect, but if I don't end up getting a PS4 this holiday I still have plenty in my ever-growing backlog. At least, that's what I'm telling myself.

Oh I totally appreciate the post, it's best to educate people and let them make an informed decision.


Also I liked NMS before the update myself. I didn't have a problem with it at launch because I didn't get hyped or watch any game play beyond the original teaser. I don't even know what it was missing that got people mad. So I'm happy to have another go with a similar game.
