I work at Old Navy and I doubt it is just a mini version. I saw the memos and it didn't mention anything about it being a special edition. About 80-90% of the stores are getting Rock Band kiosk in the stores so they are all about promoting RB.

Last BF we gave out MP3 players to the first 50 people and those were valued at least $50. Old Navy gives so much away to get customers into the stores. We gave the first 50 cardholders 50% off their entire purchase last Friday and we have 50% off all outerwear starting tomorrow.

Do you think Gamestop will have a PS3 bundle? Maybe buy a PS3 slim and get a free game? I remember last year, if you buy a 360, they give you Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 for free.

I have $200 worth of giftcards at Gamestop and want to get a PS3. I was wondering if I should get it now or wait for Black Friday.

Well, since the economy blows and everyone is a whore for black friday deals I'm sure Old navy will have a line around the block trying to get their free game. People will show up hours before the doors open to get a copy of the game. I may just show up an hour or so AFTER doors open and try to pick up the game for 20 bucks off someone who is just going to ebay it any way.

So the game would cost me 20 bucks, I wouldn't have to camp out and all I lose is a 20 buck pair of pants I would only use to do yard work.

The free guitar is with the purchase of RB2 and is only available on Thanksgiving day, unless the store doesn't give them all away. I'm betting it will sell for $60.

Dude, if this is the full version of LRB - the way the economy is right now, I wouldn't be surprised to see people camping out at midnight... Missed out on the MP3 player last year because of people camping out...

If a deal can't be had online on Black Friday I don't even mess with it. I just don't get the mentality of these people and what they put themselves through just to get average deals.
 
Man I hated workin at old navy. The one year I had to dress like an "elf" (which consisted on a green apron and a headband whith elf ears) and made me greet customers n give out candy canes...not to mention it's boring as fuck constantly folding clothes

Found out the answer to the Old Navy LRB deal - they will have 50 wristbands, different color for each platform (XB360, Wii, PS3) the first 50 in line will choose a platform wristband, so you may not get a choice of your preferred console...

Hell, even if I don't get one for XB360, figure I could sell it on eBay for money on another one or take it to Walmart and exchange it...

So we're talking maybe 16-17 copies for each system??? Guess I don't have to worry about going to Old Navy...there will easily be that many crazy women in line.

I think most gamers will probably be invading Walmart or Best Buy instead -- not Old Navy just to get Lego Rock Band.

I feel the same way you do. If the retailers aren't smart enough to put offers online, then it's their loss. Getting trampled to death for $5 junk that is normally $25 isn't worth my time (or my life) LOL ;)

I'm done with B&M BLACK FRIDAY. If Amazon kills it like they did last year, oh man...I'll be happy. So many awesome videogame deals...

Although it has been a nice tradition with me and my buddies staying up all night and seeing the madness ensue. 6AM just isn't good enough, and I have no desire to be out there any earlier. I'm much faster at clicking a button than scrambling through hoards of people. I've had a lot more luck with CYBER MONDAY than BF...
 
That hardly seems worth it, just for the giftcard... I wonder if they're worried their sale won't be good enough on its own to get people in line.

I'm starting to get a little doubtful that stores are trying to stretch out their black friday deals over the entire month so people wont hold out. Notice how not that many retailers have even MENTIONED the words black friday yet this year except in ads where they say "Black Friday door busters every Saturday this month!"
