I wonder if Target is going to do a ticketing system this year, fucking madhouse it was last year. They don't have any good game deals this year though.

I might try for one of those TVs though. I remember last year they had spread WHOLE pallets of the TVs throughout the store with a SINGLE pallet in the electronics section, I saw one in the freaking GARDEN section just sitting there untouched, and another one near the baby clothes and strollers on the opposite side of the store.

Also, dag gum 3$ toaster.

Jebus, this Black Friday is looking terrible, and as others have suggested, here's to hoping that Amazon picks up the rest of these retailer's slack...

Without reading all 62 pages... can I buy Dragon Age from BB before Friday and just go to store later in the day on Friday to pricematch? Shouldn't be a problem I don't think....

Actually, it will be a problem. Best Buy doesn't do price matches on door busters since they simply don't open the customer service area for anything but sales that morning. You might be able to convince a manager to do it once things slow down, but I seriously doubt it.

Im interested in the 50% off "family" games for xbox when you purchase a new game... as in Lego Rock Band is a "family" game... it said something about equal or less value on non discounted games in the fine print i think.

But i dont know if i can get ODST on sale for $40 and than half off L:RB ($25) if thats the case than i'll go there for my first stop...does any one know if that would work?
Hey could anyone answer my question. Are the deals in gamestop eligible for the buy 2 get one free? I would like to get crisis core for the psp for 9.99 and use it for the buy 2 get one free promotion. Would it work? Lastly, does gamecrazy price match gamestop's deals and used prices? Thanks.
All 3 games have to be used for B2G1 free. Game crazy doesnt price match GS
i really want that ps3 bundle but i cant justify waiting 13 hours outside of bestbuy for 2 free games that i could pick up for $30 each in a couple months
i'll be honest, i think you will be ok, with the ps3 thing, its not like its a new item, i think you will be safe to go to best buy after 5 a.m. and still find that stuff.

its not like just because their throwing out 2 free games that the general public even know the worth of this bundle.
I say just go for it after 5.

or you can do like i did, if they do have the deal online (which there is no reason why they shouldn't)

order it online, and then just go to the store anyway. if they have it pick it up from the store. and cancel your online order. (you won't get charged for the online order right away so it shouldn't effect your credit card)
Same. :applause:
Good luck w/ that -- it's not as if Wal-Mart won't be swamped with people left and right.

I'm surprised by all of the crying in this thread about how "poor" the quality of deals are this year. It seems to me like they either meet or exceed previous years from nearly everyone who sells video games.

Gamestop? That looked like the best ad they've ever had, to me. I remember years past where they just listed the hot games, and had them at regular prices. I think their prices are dynamite.

Best Buy and Target? Both are working bundle angles harder than ever before, and it seems like the typical selection of fairly-recent games for sale prices, coupled with the groups of lesser-priced, older games.

I don't ever remember the latest stuff being on much of a sale, let alone a real stellar one. Yet, this year you've got $35 and $40 prices on some of those, even!

Not to mention a CLOTHING retailer is freaking GIVING AWAY a relatively-new and relatively-popular game with minimal hook!

It seems to me like expectations have gotten out of whack because of a few choice deals by Wal-Mart and Amazon.com's ability to sell at lower prices in general. If that's the case, hit those stores, but why bother whining about what the competition simply can't do? Especially when that competition is obviously doing pretty damned well anyway?

To anyone complaining about Gamestop or Target or Best Buy, can you refresh my memory on what deals you found in the past few years that are of the sort you can't find this year?

I agree 100% with this post.

:applause:

People need to stop the whining.

I have a feeling Amazon's BF deals aren't going to be anywhere near as good as people are expecting. I can't even imagine the whining when that happens.

Wow! The Gamestop PS3 bundle is as good as anything anyone else has! That's a shock. Wouldn't mind having GOW I & II even though I have them for the PS2, & LBP is a no-brainer. I don't think there have been as many good, competative deals in quite a few years.
I'm surprised by all of the crying in this thread about how "poor" the quality of deals are this year.
Give it some time, a few more months on CAG and you'll cease to be surprised about the things people choose to complain about..
Looks like I will be going to walmart this year and just price match everything I want there and go home
where will you get all the ads, though?

Old Navy. They're giving away Lego Rock Band with any purchase of $20+.
That's a whole lotta ad without a whole lotta excitement.
Not sure what you were looking at, but the GS ad is very competitive with the other ones out there. To whit;

:ps3::360:Batman: AA $39.99
:ps3::360:Tekken 6 $39.99
:360:L4D2 $39.99
:ps3::360:GH 5 $39.99

:360:Halo 3: ODST $39.99
:360:Forza Motorsport 3 $39.99
:psp:FF 7: Crisis Core $9.99

Used:
B2G1 on all used games and accessories
:ps3::360:GH WT $14.99
:ps3::360:GH III $4.99
:ps3::360:GH Aerosmith $7.49

Off the top of my head, they might be the only place running a

There's nothing wrong with the ads at all - in fact there's plenty of good deals to be had it seems. For me though there have just been so many insane deals in the off season this year that I suppose it would take something like a PS3 + 5 new games for $99 to really drop my jaw.

That and the get-off-my-lawn part of me has never adjusted to the new baseline MSRP of $59.99, so when something is on sale for $50 or even $40 I just instinctively think of that as MSRP and move on.

Anyhoo, sorry for derailing. All I know is I'll be getting L4D2 on the cheap somewhere this year!

Gametops ad is ok..Tekken 6 for 40 isn't bad (but Batman: AA for 40? Hasn't that been 40 a bunch?)

But no sale on Brutal Legend or Dragon Age makes me sad :/, Oh well. Guess I'll hit up Best Buy or Target for one of those.

I hope someone has a good deal on the modern warfare xbox console, might be looking to pick that up. best i've seen is a $50 gift card at target, but that's 30 bucks just in tax alone for me.

I was hoping for some better sales on the systems, not packaged with a whole bunch of games I might not want. It seems like walmart is the one busting a lot of balls to do good this year though. 10 dollars GTA and Midnight Club? Not too shabby

man only good think about gamestop is the used DS lite for 60 but those are so badly beaten on trade ins they probally only work for a month or two

love how they list

Rock Band Unplugged - PSP 29.99 guess they are jacking up the price 10 bucks on black friday cause its only 20 now

and target will have it for 8.00

Question - How does Amazon's PM work? I saw Meijer here is going to be selling the Wii Fit bundle for $44.99 on Thanksgiving day, which to me is a deal and a half...

Amazon will just adjust their price if someone is selling it for lower,not always though. They were PM some newegg deals on some games last week.

I'm thinking of getting the WOW Warchest at GS for $20, Amazon has it for $36.
Hoping amazon PM the price on BF, I'd save $2 in taxes. :bouncy:
Will I be SOL if I roll into KMart or Bestbuy looking for DragonAge and L4D2 around 7:00am?
Don't know about kmart, but at the BB I went to the line circled all the way to the back and around almost to the front by 7am. And those are doorbusters aren't they?
My pleasure. I'm glad it could be of use to some people. Sadly though, it's the most lackluster ad I've seen in awhile. I don't think I'll brave any BF lines this year, which is completely unnatural for me. The Lego RB deal is pulling me though, but that's about it.

Glad I could help everyone. ;)

For those pondering which PS3 bundle to get:
1. If you like action/superhero genre (comics/movies/games) definitely go for the Walmart bundle.
2. If you like tons of fun (possibly for the children in your life or your inner child) go for the LBP bundle. LBP is a blast and the community is stronger than ever. You will never run out of levels to play. LBP isn't as easy as it seems to beat on the later levels. Collecting everything is mind-numbingly hard as well. Just because it's cute doesn't make it simple nor easy.
3. Skip the Gamestop bundle. God of War collection is a bundled game for $40.00 retail. Great, GREAT games, but the two previous bundles trump it for newness alone. Get the GoW Collection as your first PS3 retail game. ;)
Doesn't the GS PS3 bundle also have LBP GOTYE? I would probably go with the Infamous/BAA bundle with batman dk blu-ray personally.
Doesn't the GS PS3 bundle also have LBP GOTYE? I would probably go with the Infamous/BAA bundle with batman dk blu-ray personally.
Yep. If you want LBP GOTY Edition with your new PS3, Best Buy is the better deal since it also includes Ratchet and Clank, which is a great series in my opinion.

edit: wow I had no idea that other bfad websites wouldn't give credit to the uploaders. At least slickdeals.net is good stuff. :) I don't care about thanks or recognition or anything like that, but I hate seeing other websites word their articles like it was :them: who got the ads for them. So very sad. Oh well, at least CAG had it first followed closely by slickdeals.net. Next year I know who to show what to first. ;)

I've only seen Kmart have a great PSP deal (free Assassin's Creed II with PSP Assassin's Creed bundle) but I've checked out others and haven't really seen anything. Has someone come across another great PSP deal on any of the other retailers??

Hey quick question, does anyone know if people actually line up for Old Navy on Black Friday? I know it would depend by area, I personally have never heard or seen it happen.
