Definitely want to pick up Link's Awakening for $29, but I'm not sure what to add (this or otherwise) for cheap to get to the free shipping threshold.

I know the digital version is also on sale but I like to get physical when I can.

Grabbed Sonic & Link's Awakening for $29 each. Will return the sealed Sonic w/ my receipt where I bought it at launch. Those 2 & the Death Stranding Director's Cut I got from BB for $20 may very well be the only physical games I pickup this year. And not much on the digital front either.

TLOU part 1 $40, Ghostwire Tokyo $18, Deathloop $15, a few others look like the notables on Gamefly.

I just want to take a moment to say that Link's Awakening was sooooo cool, and that Skyward Sword was SO disappointing.

No doubt. I'm re-adding it to my collection, bought & played it when it first released and loved it, but traded it in shortly after. Thinking about playing through it again now. :)

It's sweet that all of them are on sale right now though. You can pick up the trio of Zelda games brand new on Switch for $110 at Target which is super cool for anyone who just bought a new system. (Or the two good ones for only $70, the price of a single new game!)

This aesthetically pleases me.

Link's Awakening is the best Zelda game you can buy on the Switch. I wish they would remake the other Game Boy Zelda's for the Switch.
Prepare to get cancelled.

Picked up a few from Amazon:
:ps5: Demon’s Souls - $25
:ps5: Ghost of Tsushima DC - $30
:ps4: Kena - $23
:xb1: Sonic Frontiers - $29

Got $40 off with a targeted Discover deal, so total was like $72.

Also picked up :switch: Sonic Frontiers for a nephew and :switch: Immortals Fenyx for my bro-in-law.

Seems like no one wants to sell something at the $20 price point this year.

Guess I'll keep watching Wario and waiting.  I have Steam bucks to burn, as well.

Well, A Link to the Past can be played on the Switch but that is more of a rental. If you count that than you are right, Link's Awakening is the second best. :whistle2:
LA and ALTTP aren't even the best top down Zeldas. You knew I meant BOTW. I'm sure you are one of those people that doesn't want Zelda to ever change and want the exact same game over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

BOTW is where Zelda needed to go next and Nintendo nailed it.

At least you didn’t say it was that Crypt of The NecroDancer Zelda game.

Playing a game by matching the beat of the music? Yeah no thanks.

Hmmm... Already own and got a platinum on Elden Ring.  Do I buy the Xbox One version just to play it again?  Tempting, though I have SO MANY Game Pass and PS+ games to play.

Bruh, why didn't you get the CE for Xbox to solve this problem months ago? I have a sealed PS4 CE waiting for me to open for that exact purpose lol. I'm waiting on the DLC first so I can do it all over again though.

Aren't GamePass Ultimate 3 month cards usually like half off on Black Friday?  I know I stocked up on four for my daughters *last* Thanksgiving.  Usually discounted PS+ and XBL cards are gimmes every Black Friday at just about every store, but I'm not seeing hardly anything like that advertised this year.  I just got a PS5, but I was waiting to reactivate PS+ to see what kind of deals were available this weekend.

People forget that advertised sales are usually the weakest ones. Start hunting after BF and there will be far better flash sales going around.

Clearly I have no idea what you are talking about. Was it on sale/clearance somewhere?? Basically, though, I'm letting my son decide. He got all into Elden Ring and then afterwards played *every other* Souls game (which were all new to him). If he wants to replay on Xbox One, I'll get it.

I think the deals on these game subscription services will be rare and be lesser in amount than before. In fact, I think we need to expect prices to increase sooner or later. With that in mind, I bought another year of PS+ Extra for the 25% off offered by Sony (and may tack on one more year as well). On the Xbox side, CD Keys has 1 month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate codes for $8-something (there's a thread here for it). I bought 4 of those to push mine out till mid-2024. I may get several more to top off 2024. I'd be very surprised to see half-off deals for BF, but if they do show up, I'll get even more.

Still waiting for Walmart to go live but it seems bleach is winning Black Friday for me right now with their getsuga tenshou deals. Walmart doesn’t even seem to discount Gotham knights deluxe. Ew

Yeah it's true.

I've cut way back on that stuff. No more piles of sale games for $30 anymore. Suddenly you've got like a dozen games for $400 and it's nothing you were intending on playing immediately. I've learned that lesson. You'd have been better off buying the 1 or 2 full priced games you intended on playing like God of War.

< $20 stuff you can just buy on a whim.

They usually do. I'm still holding out hope to see them go on sale on Cyber Monday.

Lol, I was thinking the same thing but to pick up the PS5 version this time. Elden Ring is my goty by far. I'm going to pass on double dipping though until it hits lower.

I'll wait until it hits $20 on steam so I can play it on the steamdeck.

I already have Link's Awakening original, DX, and DX on 3DS. Do I really want to buy it a fourth time?
It'd be worth it, IMO. I'm a huge fan of LA, it was one of the first games I beat, and really loved how the NS remake nearly perfectly captured how I imagined the original game was in my head. But I just still can't get over how much slowdown there was...

I wondering if it's worth picking up RE Village for 20 just to buy and play the dlc. Already played the whole base game and traded in... but I'm deep into Ragnarok and playing nothing else till finished.

Went to Gamestop and deluxe Dying Light 2 was $50. I asked if I was getting Black Friday prices and they said I was. Didn't have the time or means to fully/accurately dispute, but I wanted to come back here and see if I'm the crazy one.

The spreadsheet says it's $29 but I was charged $50...happens to be the price of the PS5 version. Receipt says it's the PS4 version as does the physical case, but it does say PS5 upgrade available.

Can anyone provide me a link to where the Deluxe version is $30 OR confirm that the new story is something I can download on the regular version of the game?

I had the $35 Xbox One version in my cart at Amazon but didn't pull the trigger. I then wanted to buy a board game and when I went to check out the delivery for Elden Ring went to mid-January. No big deal since I didn't need it right away anyway, but I decided to hold off. If/when it ever hits $20 or gets a remaster/GotY edition with future DLC then I'll get the Xbox version. I got too many other things to get through - I'm really not even making good use of Game Pass and PS+. I just don't play as many games as I used to. (For example I have the Demon's Souls remake still to play!)

So far all I've gotten is Fire Emblem for $35. And that is only because my son will probably ask me for it later once it is no longer on sale (as seems to happen every year). I still have games from the last 3-4 BF's that I have yet to open. Sigh.

I did pick up Sackboy ($19.99) and Ratchet ($29.99) from Fred Meyer last night thinking those were a great deal - but I should have known better. Those were the same price everyone has them for (BF snuck up on me this year and I hadn't even checked here for pricing and game selection yet as of yesterday). I will probably return Ratchet. I figure that has got to be a PS+ game at some point. Probably Sackboy as well (and probably sooner) but for $20 I might actually try to play that right away.

It’s showing that price on their website.

The DLC is just okay , nothing to rush and play imo.

Sackboy's pretty damn fun. One of the rare games where I had pretty equal amounts of fun both solo and co-op.
