Wow even I live in the boonies and have amazon pick up lockers everywhere as there's one outside of all the drug stores, and one at the amazon warehouse in the next township over. I'm in ohio.

 
The copy of GTA V: Premium Edition for Xbox One that I ordered from Walmart last night just arrived at my front door. 

In other news, I can't get the TRY10PICKUP code to work on anything from Amazon Warehouse, but I went ahead and placed my order anyway.

Yes, this is labeled the exact same way at my Walmart but they refuse to sell it to me because it's scanned at a higher price. But it is very clearly marked with the sticker for $10. Irritating. They have two tiers of green sticker but it's very obvious that the green for $10 is what's on games like Fire emblem etc but they would not give it to me.


But I did end up picking Mario Odyssey up for $40. I've heard good things, I'm skeptical but I'm willing to give it a shot.

I almost picked up the legendary edition of Mass Effect for $20 but after reading a little bit online about graphical changes and some changes to the combat mechanics of the first game I decided against it. I have all three of them on 360 so there's really no need aside from having the convenience of one collection. I would buy it for $10.

Overall this Black Friday seems very weak to me, but I did end up picking up about 5 or 6 titles, almost exclusively for switch a couple for PS4. Coupons such as DISCOVER and WOWFRESH text me over the edge on some of the stuff I thought was a little high.

I thought it only worked items sold from Amazon.com as the seller.

This code works for me but for some reason the only pickup box available in my county is unavailable to use for whatever reason. I am in a rural area there are about 5 in a town nearby but it's a 45-minute drive and I don't have plans to go there but I might do it because it's cheaper than the fuel it would cost to get there and I could visit the thrift store or something.

My question is someone else posted a $12 pickup code earlier and I was wondering if I could use that to save an additional $2 but for the life of me I can't figure out how to remove the applied $10 coupon from my cart items even if I removed the items etc it still shows up there whenever I go for pickup. Anyone familiar with this or am I just stuck with the $10 instead of the $12? Secondarily I'm assuming that once you use the coupon one time you can't use also the other coupon? For a second order.

I'm not 100% sure but I think it's in this thread that I saw it a couple of pages ago I can look when I get home.

It was something like "TRY12PICKUP", but I can't 100% remember I just remember the number was in the middle.

I picked up Yurukill and Ghost of Tsushima DC, but that's it on the games front this year.

Got a load of anime, though, between amazon/rightstuf/crunchyroll. A new keyboard, a pair of headphones for my Quest 2, a pair of Sennheiser Momentum 3s for personal use, a Cuphead art book, and an exercise bike.

Can't tell if this year is bad for game deals or if I just don't need that many games anymore.

Thanks, I found it. It's PICKUP12OFF

Unfortunately didn't work for me either (sold by Amazon and over $20). I used this type of promotion a little while ago so that's probably why.

Any idea how to deduct a coupon from checkout so I could try the 12 instead? I don't buy a lot from Amazon, but on other sites like Walmart it's very easy to "remove" a coupon. I might just be overlooking something.

I think there's a way to uncheck it if you go to change payment method at checkout. Not 100% sure though
 
Does anyone know the criteria necessary for the pickup12off offer? It says it can't be applied, but I couldn't find anything about a minimum value of the order or anything like that.

Thanks, this did work to remove it. But now I can't use either one of them... 😂 Sigh.

Edit: the 10 dollar code is still lingering there and I can toggle it back on, but can't "remove" it completely, seems tethered to my account now. Oh well. It's only 2 dollars.

Walmart and Target absolutely sucked in store today. No display for games at all. They were just in the glass cabinets as normal. Target didn't even have them labeled as on sale.

I was surprised let my Walmart also did not have any notification on the glass cases.

However I did notice that there was a stand elsewhere but it wasn't near the normal area so I almost completely missed it. A lot was mislabeled, but they refused to honor it for me.
 
Wasn't able to use the pickup codes for Splatoon but $45 is still better than the 60 I just paid for it last week.

I had great luck with WOWFRESH and discover code, and this code looks like it wants to work for me (asks me to add $50 worth of materials), but now none of it is working on any of the video games I want maybe they changed how the codes function. Anyone else have luck ordering video games with these codes now? For example, paypal10 works on MHRise, but not much else.. but holiday10 doesn't work on MHRise or anything else. So just kind of wondering if wowfresh and discover were better codes in general with wider nets or if they did change something.

(edit on the above: whenever I add Monster Hunter rise to my cart if other items are able to be picked up in the store it suddenly groups them into a curbside pickup, and magically the items are eligible for the discount of PayPal10, but if I remove Monster Hunter they go back to shipping and our ineligible for the code so maybe this is a curbside pickup code only? The weird thing is I have three items I want that are available for curbside pickup but if I remove Monster Hunter curbside pickup is no longer an option for the other two because I don't really want Monster Hunter.. lol - maybe I misunderstanding some technicalities)


Whole experience with delivery is very odd though. It looks like they've sent every order I have to be fulfilled by a carrier from the store. I ordered two orders on Monday and they said since that day that they would be delivered on Friday. Which is fine, but I ordered something yesterday and it also said that it would be delivered today.

Today came around and the item I ordered yesterday is delivered but the things I ordered on Monday have still not been dispatched and will likely not be I'm guessing due to what time it is even though on the website it's still claims they are coming today. I went to Walmart earlier myself and saw many copies of all of the items I ordered sitting on the shelf so I just don't understand why they wouldn't send my older orders out with the one I made yesterday.

It seems really like they should just send this over the normal post and it would have been here already instead of trying to use "from store delivery". at this point I just chat with them to ask if I could just go get what I ordered since I know they have it there instead of waiting until who knows when but they said I am unable to change the type of delivery after the order is placed.

Oh well, but seems inefficient. I've seen many people talk about how quickly they received orders but I think they must be in the city but I don't know for sure.

Anyone here tried to return Gotham knights the game and keep the steelbook? Ridiculous how Walmart has the game with steelbook for Xbox deluxe discounted but no discount for ps5
 
Got my GameStop.com order. The Fall VR, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, KeyWe, and Chorus all arrived "GameStop New." All gutted, covered in stickers, and smelling like an ashtray. All will be getting returned tomorrow. What a joke.

I started shopping at GameStop this year after a long time hiatus. First bought with them as EBgames over 20 years ago. Nowadays it’s a toy store that sells some games. Most games are online now as well. I only collect and buy NEW games. Meaning mint sealed and untouched. Y fold plastic wrap especially. Earlier this year I had four copies of the same game shipped to me gutted. Each time a customer rep promised it would be new new new and it never was. One copy had 6 price stickers stacked one on top of another. Then I posted about it here on the forums about my experience with them and was mocked for expecting a NEW product. I’m not gifting someone a gutted/used game.

you aren’t meant to keep calling till you get a new copy. That’s how you get banned. should have gone in store if it meant that much to you.

That’s the problem i was trying to highlight in my post about. The game wasn’t sold in stores. Sold out at amazon Best Buy target and Walmart too. Gamestop was my last resort.

Yeah at that point you may chalk it up at a loss then. As it doesn't make sense to keep doing exchanges if you end up with the same copy basically each time.

 
It’s always a gamble with GameStop. I still shop there but mostly instore. I always think twice when buying online from them sadly I’ve become afraid of buying new games from them even used. Also sucks trying to return things instore cuz employees get butthurt
 
Went to Walmart to pickup some groceries for dinner but didnt see anything with clearance stickers and the games i asked the clerk to scan were full price.

has anyone found any decent shadow cleareance games on Walmart that werent available at other retailers? i already got Farcry 6, Last of Us 2, Scarlet Nexus and Sekiro DC.

Last year I was 2 for 3 from GS sending new new. I'll see what I get tomorrow...

 
Rules of thumb when shopping with GS:

1) unless you buy games day 1, don't expect to receive sealed copy. The older the game is the more likely it's gonna be gutted.

2) avoid buy games online with redeemable DLC/season pass after day 1.

3# don't use your monthly on anything you risk returning. Since you don't get that back.
 
with the new free shipping threshold and what they did with this last b2g1 its hard to justify shopping at gamestop at all

 
Well the first of my BF packages arrived... at the wrong address. I love that Fedex now provides pictures now, makes it easier to see that they delivered to the wrong address. This is the 2nd package FedEx has lost in the last 2 months, not mentioning a few other packages that were misrouted/took forever to arrive and one that arrived pretty badly damaged. I have had few issues with any of the major carriers, but FedEx has been on a shit-streak as of late.

Sucks the games are out of stock...

EDIT* is P5 Royal Steelbook edition in stock anywhere? Guessing not.
