who was hosting last night? After I was kicked I couldnt get back in, keep getting the cant connect to host message. Would have been cool to beat the vault boss with all the +team rare weapons find on. He didnt drop squat when I beat him solo, oh well. Only have 5 trophies left (not including DLC)

Actually I think I deleted ya already and will likely do the same to the rest of the folks I played with on here since I doubt anyone in this group will be playing BF1943 or GTA and those are likely gonna be my only two online games for a while.:booty:

I pretty much talked myself out of getting BF3 until I see if I can get in on the 2/$60 and get it PM'd at BB. If I can, then I'll likely be playing Darksiders II and Sleeping Dogs for a while.:D

Nice job on only 5 trophies left. So this will be your 1st Platinum not bad. I will try to play some Borderlands later tonight. I will be working on side missions to level up.

Compared to this game, I am actually pretty decent at both the games above. Albeit not against the uber high level people flying planes in BF1943. But GTA....oh fuck yeah. But that's cuz that was all I was playing multiplayer of for the longest time.;)

Stuff like Bomb Da Base and Cops & Crooks in GTA are fairly interesting and require decent teamwork.

Probably the one thing I've grown to like more than those two modes is the Cannonball Run race, which includes weapons and the ability to turn it into deathmatch on wheels.;)

Mind ya, Deal Breaker and Hangmans' Noose(where it's you and other players against the full SWAT team trying to get your boss to a safe spot) are the absolute best modes in GTA IV.

Albeit most of the time I'm just playing Free Mode and driving around listening to the radio in mp and trying not to get killed by people coming into the game specifically to turn it into unranked deathmatch.:roll:

since you hate rpg, avoid darksiders 2. the sequel is a total rpg based game. you going need to level to aquire more powerful abilities and gear from drop
 
I was just messin with ya cheapest. I'd love to grab BF1943 sometime if it ever goes on sale, I loved that game on the xbox. Dont know if I'll ever get back into GTAIV, though I'd definitely be grabbing GTAV when it drops.

i found a class mod that did +4 silent resolve, so i thought 14% each that will get over 100% but not so. - http://gbxforums.gearboxsoftware.com/showthread.php?t=90112
so about 2 points for 50% damage reduction for 7 seconds. i should have been running that since the beginning for 2 skill points. oh wells, from here out.

SPOILERS FOR ENDING - that was fun beating the game with ya koopa. you were cheapest life support and that turret kept me alive as i rained bullets on that boss. im down to do that battle and all of eridian promontory again. my god, im so lucky i found a shock sniper gun in a random chest there. we went from seeing crimson lance to guardians all within 2 hours. its like we mad rushed that ending. fire did nothing, but now im doing zombies and it is eating them alive.

im down for dlc runs, moxxi runs and more new haven missions, beating it with others, etc before i get going on playthrough 2.

So it's less God Of War/shooter clone and more of this bs?:roll: Oh well. Thanks for saving me from making a big mistake then. I'll still probably grab it when it goes to $20 or if I see it on clearance someplace for really cheap down the line. Sleeping Dogs looks like a combination of WET, GTA and even though I never played them the Yakuza games from the gameplay videos I've seen of it.

i think you can always buy another with sleeping dogs to flip or sell for the 2 for $60. why wouldn't you get bf3, it is only $10 , it is still much more action , and shooter focus

sleeping dogs are more your type of gta game, except your rely more on your characters combat abilitie skills, i would say it is sort of like god of war action combo with button mash/ gta driving/ saints row type char customization

I think I've told you this before but this is pretty dumb. I understand when you're playing solo games, fine, but if you're actively trying to play with other people, maybe you should have messages turned on? Then when you're done with the game you're trying to play with others, turn them back off.

That's why we did the Zombie Apocalypse run without you and I think why I never played PayDay with you. It's not that we didn't try to get you involved, but you just never saw the messages until way later.

Because unless I'm playing online with other CAG's as part of the same team, I know I'm gonna rage quit due to all the vets picking me off like they used to all the time in BF1943.:roll:

not really, bf3 is slightly more balance. i mean it trades in at bestbuy for $4 before the 100 % promo, and $9 at gamestop, so at most you can just consider it at $2 dollar rental fee if you do not like it.

Except you forget I'm banned at GS and more than likely I'd dump it on CL for $15 rather than trading it back into BB that quickly. Besides which, there's likely a full gig worth of updates by now out for the game that have ZERO to do with the single player. So there goes at least another 2-3 hours of my time to download those if I ever expect to play online.:cry:

I think if I do trade anything in, I'm just gonna keep the credit for April of next year when GTA V will likely release.;)

By then, Darksiders II and Sleeping Dogs will likely be $20 new.;)

i need to get 15 kills/character, level 50 and all side missions in new haven, then plat!

so yeah, and we will get moxxxi done also. lets do some other dlc tonite too, im level 38.

and yeah we can fight the boss with +rare item finds, but i didnt get any loot from him either. i already got a firehawk on zombi island tho, and got an eridian lightning last night, woot. we can farm tight weapons in the dlc/2nd 2.5 playthroughs.

and yeah, im not turning messages on. so if you have a problem with it, you can delete me ;)

i check my messages every 15-30 minutes, and if im playing mp game, there is usually someone else in the group you can message that will invite you or tell me through mic or whatev.

idiots on mw3, etc will spam my messages and clog up slow down the screen whatev so i dont mess with that

i thought this game was the shit. totally awesome. loved it all. can't believe i had it for 3 years and didnt touch it, lol.
i love the randomness, i love the different skills, the different builds, artifacts, shields, grenades, class mods, etc.
so much fun stuff. only thing was seemed a bit too easy for me, but lots of times i was running with brodaz or koopa and they were a few levels above me. good stuff tho. can't wait for playthrough 2/ 2.5 when difficulty ramps up. woot
seemed like rage but with rpg elements. the plot was identical almost, very thin and very text based.
also, like rage, the final enemies all come at you within an hour of beating it.
i think both games needed to spread the ending enemies out more. i know its great to see new enemy types for final battles, but the crimson lance just showed up at old haven and enclave (reminds me of fallout 1/2) and my acid was good against them, but that was bout an hour of gameplay. then guardians showed up at the very end, luckily i had a shock sniper (and eridian lightning) cuz they were far, stationary(ish) and shock shield necessary. my elemental smgs werent touching them at all far away. but they were only for bout 30 minutes and there was no explanation what they were or what destroyer was or whatever. plot thin, but still awesome.

Velo a heads up on all the new haven missions. There are a few from the middle if nowhere bounty board that go towards thd trophy. I finally had it pop, I have completed every mission, side quests and all for pt1. If anyone wants to run some of the zombie dlc tonight let me know, otherwise I'll probably start my pt2. Just need lvl 40,50 and Roland's 15 turret kills and I got the plat.

Okay, relax, I don't have a huge problem with it, I just think it's kinda dumb that you turn off messages when you're trying to get co-op things done.

That was pretty fun, close to the very end i unlocked the ability for my turret to shoot out supplies. I tried my best to keep everyone alive. Good thing I built my soldier mostly for a medic.
 
i never need ammo. lol. iv got 1200 smg bullets and i switch to my powerful exploding tedior savior when i need ammo regen. yeah whenever i was low on health i would phasedash to your turret and my shield/health would fly up.

i loved that at the end they started throwing so many enemies at us. that baron flynt battle and these zombie battles are just horde fests and thats awesome. same as old haven seemed lancers defenders and engineers kept walking out the doors. good stuff ;)
 
Yeah velo, I'll probably play all the dlc except for moxxi. My Roland just hit lvl 5 so I just need to get his 15 turret kills, I'll just drop a turret in front of s scag den and do it that way. The middle of nowhere bounty board is in rust commons east btw.

Velo, that's crazy you're already done with half the zombie dlc also. I have been hauling ass in the game and you've kept up with my save the whole time. I haven't touched any of the dlc yet also, though I have completed all the side missions so I guess that's where my extra time has gone.

my main thing is that i love a challenge. this game scales levels or something a bit, so the only way to really get a challenge is to just bumrush into the main quests or dlc eventually. i didnt mess with all side missions yet cuz they were all trivial difficulty and i can't stand just walking around not killing. with my phaseshift and lightning shift walk and phoenix everything dies without me doing anything, lol. i didnt need extra xp or weapons from sidequests either, but i know i need that made in new haven trophy.

if i find a game i love i just get hooked addicted and don't quit, lol

yeah i dont play much solo, just mostly doing maybe an hour or so a night after work. i wish the game was longer but i guess multi playthroughs solve that. and yeah dlc is tight. peace man.
 
This was my 6th time finishing the game. I never went all the way with brick. Lilith has by far been the most over powered character and I'm not even using her Phoenix ability. The only skill from her center tree I've used is the fire rate skill.

Like most other CAG's, I have enough of a backlog that I could play through while I wait for a game I really want. After seeing the whole wilderness thing in some of the newer screenshots from the game, I'm hoping they give you Red Dead Redemption type of stuff to do, like going hunting in the mountains or maybe even trying to find gold out there.;) Something different other than the 'go here, shoot these assholes, go there, shoot some more assholes, rinse, repeat, boooooooring'.

A little more fleshed out hand to hand combat system would be nice and not making the lead character a sappy loser who is a bad guy but feels bad about being a bad guy would also be nice. I hated playing as Niko in GTA IV.

Not to mention if they lose the whole dating bs thing while adding some other side activities that might actually be FUN.

Personally I kinda hope Rockstar works on getting Mercenaries 2 level destructibility into the game world. They could forgo making anything else spectacular in the game if they would just put in the ability for me to be able to pull off one of THESE in San Andreas and watch the city BURRRRRRRRRRRRNNNNN.:evil::twisted:;)

from the gameplay i saw of sleeping dogs , i like the best were the combat system, and kidnap some1 n throwing them into the car trunk,lol, and just throwing ppl around. the dating missions is really short, and not that bad, and part of the storyline of the game
 
Considering how I've started to play even games like GTA, where you get unlimited respawns, I have a feeling I'd probably be bored with SD. I swear to God, I play BF1943 like a suicide bomber. Strap some dynamite on my jeep or tank, get that thing rolling, then bail out when I see a group of enemies and try blowing them up.:rofl:

I actually practiced with the plane via the tutorial last night and croaked so many times when I'd roll the plane till I was upside down and end up going cockpit first into the water at high speed.:lol:

Bumslie and Velo, let's try and do a large arena tomorrow at 8 PM PST. If another time is better, just let me know, I'm off all day.
 
umm, lol, iatcg, of course you were leveling up like crazy. you were level 13 or something fighting with level 35s against the boss of the game. ;) it gets harder to level up as you play the enemies you are supposed to be playing ;)

i work 3-midnite ish central time. i can when i get home/put my kids to bed. you two can always start it up with him as the host and ill join midway if you two get impatient.

Do some Krawmerax runs to get the last levels just make sure you have a few level 69s with you. Of course that only works if you have the Knoxx DLC.

Haven't been on today cause my back is still messed up bad. I can plan for tomorrow @ 8. I will work on the game in the day if I sign on before then.

Velo don't worry I'm sure we can wait for you. I'm usually pretty patient when it comes to working around peoples schedules.

For the bog arenas just make sure you have enough time since I have seen them take close to 4 full hours to beat. I think it tool me and 3 friends close to 10 hours to beat all of them.

Only if you odnt know the round-skip trick, I soloed on splitscreen and took me 2,5h to finish Hell-Burbia arena on my 1st time trying this trick, I played only 15 rounds, 5 rounds successfully skipped.

If you want an easy Platinum play Green Lantern, had to be the easiest and quickest Platinum ever.

I think i'm only a handful of trophies away from 100% BUT it takes forever to do some of the Clap Trap DLC trophies. I spent days farming for the items but nothing. I gave up.

It was funny to see him hop in around lvl 15ish and finish the game around 25 lol.

All I kept seeing was "Cheapest is now level 16,17,18,19, etc."

That and that he needed to be revived :lol:, I think I got 100exp every time I brought him back.
