This is one of those times that I would like to know more about the methodology of the test. I wonder if the actual paper from the experiment will be available for free online anywhere.
This is comparing brain games versus surfing the internet, but where did they get the test subjects? Most test subjects for these experiments come from college campuses, and if you did this with college kids over 10 weeks, I wouldn't expect them to score differently. Also, what kind of questions were asked? Was this a math test, was it simple logic. What sorts of sites did the person surf too (sorry, reading a newspaper or other science applications will likely show your smarter than if your going to porn sites for your 10 minutes).
So many things can really hamper this experiment.
