I didn't see this posted yet, if it has been I'm sure I'll hear about it quickly. Not a lot of selection, but it may be a good deal for some. I'm thinking about getting some of these to replace HD DVDs, and selling the HDs to recoup some of the cost.

That's really not bad at all. Depending on your movies, most would be under $8 each if you got titles priced at $16-18.

Picked up 10 for $70.90. Comes to $7 per Bluray and a lot fo movies I wanted to upgrade. Got Fast and Furious series (4), Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Pitch Black, Van Helsing, King Kong and Army of Darkness. Very nice, had to leave Dawn of the Dead, but prefer comedies at this point for replay value personally. Shame Chronicles of Riddick wasn't available.

Chronicles of Riddick was an option for me.
Are the Fast and The Furious movies any better on blu ray then HD DVD?
Yes, they all have lossless DTS-MA. And Tokyo Drift sounds absolutely insane. Tokyo Drift and I think the first one also have high bitrate AVC encodes.

Email and complain. Maybe they'll add more titles. Only having 14 on the list (and 1 unavailable) is stupid. This deal pissed me off last year for the same reason.
It's a good sale, when there's more variety to be picking from.
This.

Nothing for me this time --- thanks though.

I'm trying to decide if I want to upgrade my HD's to Blu's or not. I'm thinking of getting Shaun Of The Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The Fast and the Furious 1234, since i already have the fifth..

I can get them for 60 dollars shipped, but don't know if it's worth the upgrade. I thought about buying double disc blu ray cases and just putting the HD DVD in there if I did upgrade; since they probably wouldn't fetch too much now.

Probably not worth the upgrade. Also, what fifth Fast and Furious movie are you talking about?

My bad, I had four in my cart on Amazon somehow, I guess they have two different versions of the first one. I meant to say 123 and 4

Looks like they have the first one as a single disc, or 2-disc for 1 dollar more, and I added both thinking it was two separate movies

Not too bad but not enough to pick from and I have most of these on HD-DVD and I don't really need to replace those yet.

They are two separate movies. The 2 disc is "Fast & Furious" (the 4th movie) while the $1 cheaper one is "The Fast & The Furious" (the 1st movie). Key is to look at the year next to the title.

Wow, guess I"m getting confused all over the place today. I've seen movies that are released later though as a blu ray or different form of the DVD have the wrong years, so that's probably what confused me. That and the fact the only difference in the title is the word "the"

Got Shaun of the Dead on Blu-Ray at a DC Metro are meet, and Hot Fuzz on the way from Goozex. Other than that, the selection is awful.

Yeah, I remember someone got the Shaun of the Dead Bluray there. Did anybody even want the Wolverine Bluray at that meet?

Wider selection would have been nice though.

Why don't you just pick 4 movies that you actually want, then add 3 copies of King Kong and 3 copies Van Helsing and sell them for $7 each on craigslist. You'll get $42 back with a little legwork, and that will make the 4 movies you actually want cost only $13 TOTAL (assuming they are all priced $19.99) or even lower if they're the cheaper movies.

Even if you only manage to sell them for $5 each, that means you'll pay $25 total- which is still a great deal, $6.25 each.

Amazon did a similar deal with James Bond movies about a year ago (these movies came with movie cash to Quantum of Solace, though, which made it even more enticing of an offer).

I still have several Blu-Rays from that sale. I'd have to check exactly what I still have, but I believe I still have at least one of each of the following:

Thunderball
From Russia With Love
Dr. No
Live and Let Die
For Your Eyes Only
Die Another Day

If anybody is on the fence about picking up ten, I would be willing to trade one or all of the above for the movies on the current list (I would have to double check that I do have all the Bond titles you are interested in, though). All of these are still sealed. PM me if you have any interest in a trade.

I'm debating on Friday Night Lights, Dawn of the Dead, and King Kong for ~$29.

Unfortunately I already have most of the titles already, either on Blu or HD-DVD

The Blurays on the offer still have the tag when I check em on their own individual listings. Here is a quick list of the Blurays that were offered on the deal (to the best of my memory):

Friday Night Lights
Dawn of the Dead
King Kong
Casino
Hot Fuzz
Shaun of the Dead
Van Helsing
Army of Darkness
The Fast and The Furious
2 Fast 2 Furious
The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift
Fast & Furious
Pitch Black
Chronicles of Riddick (was not available, but was been show as part of the sale)
Eastern Promises

Don't know if the deal is dead or not, put the discount is applied at checkout.

I have the fast and the furious 3 movies in my cart, and it's still taking off 20 if I go to checkout... odd

Edit: As nightmare said

This still works. You will have to enter the blu-rays individually. I jumped in on the deal just in case they decided to up the price.

Army of Darkness x 1
Dawn of the Dead x 1
Pitch Black x 1
Shaun of the Dead x 1
King Kong x 3
Van Helsing x 3
Total = 44.40 (4.40 per movie, not bad at all)

Going to offload those duplicate copies of king kong and van helsing as either xmas gifts or ebay/craiglist/goozex fodder.
Any other movies that were in that deal?
Actually, my list is exact except I forgot one, Eastern Promises (added it).
That should be all of em.
Prices are all jacked up now! LAME
Yeap, seems they hacked up the prices by $4-5 on each Bluray. A lot more expensive now. Glad I ordered when I did. Seems deal is a lot worse now.

Amazon does this every time. I'm glad I got in before the prices were raised.

Anyone else notice this, on the pages for the individual movies, the blurb for the deal is this:
Blu-ray Sale: Save up to $100
This movie along many others is now on sale as part of our Buy More, Save More Blu-ray sale where you can buy 2 save $20, buy 6 save $50, or buy 10 save $100. Hurry--this offer ends November 20.

It says 'buy 2 save $20'. But the deal page says buy 3 save $20.
