Buying a gaming laptop

Hi guys I'm looking to get new or used gaming laptop, something that can run most game decently ( eyeing on xcom 2 at the moment). I'm leaning towards a used laptop to save money and been browsing amazon warehouse and such and was wondering if any of you can give me advice or past experience in purchasing a used laptop from retailers like amazon warehouse or individuals. It's been over six years since I bought a laptop and while I would prefer a desktop my job have me very mobile so I need a laptop. Any other advice on a new laptop is also appreciated too.

I recently bought a used laptop from the Dell Outlet, I would strongly suggest getting a used one from there since you can add warranty up to 4 years.  I know there's a coupon floating around for 25 percent off an Alienware laptop too that runs until the 6th.

Thanks, just browsed them, man warranty sound really nice but It feels like they mark up the price to use that cupon...
