Buying out of country ebay ??

I plan on buying something from an Australian buyer. My question is does the paypal auto convert to their currency when i buy it? Even if I pay half credit card half paypal? Will it charge dollars to my credit card?

You are correct.
Just note that there is a fee involved.
Most credit cards will also charge a fee for currency conversion.

I would avoid currency exchanges fees if I were you. Just be patience and I'm sure you could find something in the US for cheaper.

I have bought stuff from a few different sellers in Japan and never had to deal with a conversion fee. That is probably because the auction was in dollars (and not trasnlated dollars where it gives you the approximate translated US currency amount in the listing) even though the sellers were located in Japan.
