Congratulations to the entire CAG community as we beat our goal of $40,000, raising a whopping $42,810! Thanks to all who participated including our great corporate sponsors Play-Asia, Telltale Games (Tales of Monkey Island), Capcom (Dark Void), and Blueberry Muffin Tops Cereal.

In 2008, CAGs raised over $32,000 (up from $27K in 2007) for Penny Arcade's Child's Play charity. This year, let's see if we can hit $40,000 before the year is through.

For every $5 donated via PayPal through the CAG ChipIn system, you will receive one entry into a raffle to win a $500 Amazon Gift Certificate or other great prizes! Last year, the CAG Community donated some really cool and generous prizes and I'm sure the tradition will continue this year. I expect the prize list to grow and grow until the very end of the fundraiser.

You must donate through the ChipIn system or your raffle entry will not register. Use any of the ChipIn links in this post or the widget below. Just click the "ChipIn" button to donate. Donations are accepted via PayPal and go directly to Child's Play. ChipIn tracks our donations as a group, but the money is immediately deposited into Child's Play's PayPal account.

Going to chip in some money when I get paid like everyone else, other than that added a $25 B&N gift card to the mix of prizes!
 
I am going to look through my backlog to see if there is any prizes to donate. Once I do my bi-weekly finances this week I will make an appropriate donation.

Upping my contribution by 25% to match the goal would have been a bit much, but 12 raffle entries please! :D

Hopefully a growing CAG userbase will make up for everyone's worsening finances.

I'm pretty sure the raffle winners just get an email, so the CAG username is irrelevant.
 
It's always awesome to see how us CAGs contradict our name with these great donations. You guys got me all excited and it's not even Thanksgiving yet -___-
 
Threw in a lil' bit now, more to come as I get paid. I'm thankful for all the money saved thanks to CAG, as well as having a job that pays more than minimum wage now! Child's Play is a wonderful charity!
 
For all the money that CAG has helped me save in the past year, I'm gladly donating to this great cause. Being entered into the raffle of great prizes is just icing on the cake. Thanks Cheapy!
 
gonna donate the money I saved on games. If I win great, if I don't I know it's going to a good cause.
 
in for $10, wish i could toss more in right now but stupid new hobby of board games is killing me. Who knew wooden bits and card board was so expensive? =p
 
I can easily imagine that we'll raise $50,000 this year. Hoping to match my $100 last year and hopefully give $200.

I just recently joined this site and I was very shocked to see a community towards gaming raising money for a charity. I LOVE IT. I'm that much more obsessed with this site and very happy to be part of it. Count me in!:applause:

Hey CheapyD, another suggestion, make sure this thread and/or the "Chip-ID" thing are visible, i frequently skip the front page to the deals forum, but decided to check the front......so make sure to keep it visible, how ever works best for the site

I thought last year it was up in the top of the page somewhere so you saw it no matter where you were. I could be wrong though.

I was thinking/ was going to suggest the same thing. Not only to get more donations but I enjoy seeing it go up every time I come to the site and often forget to scroll down down to check it out
