Congratulations to the entire CAG community as we beat our goal of $40,000, raising a whopping $42,810! Thanks to all who participated including our great corporate sponsors Play-Asia, Telltale Games (Tales of Monkey Island), Capcom (Dark Void), and Blueberry Muffin Tops Cereal.

In 2008, CAGs raised over $32,000 (up from $27K in 2007) for Penny Arcade's Child's Play charity. This year, let's see if we can hit $40,000 before the year is through.

For every $5 donated via PayPal through the CAG ChipIn system, you will receive one entry into a raffle to win a $500 Amazon Gift Certificate or other great prizes! Last year, the CAG Community donated some really cool and generous prizes and I'm sure the tradition will continue this year. I expect the prize list to grow and grow until the very end of the fundraiser.

You must donate through the ChipIn system or your raffle entry will not register. Use any of the ChipIn links in this post or the widget below. Just click the "ChipIn" button to donate. Donations are accepted via PayPal and go directly to Child's Play. ChipIn tracks our donations as a group, but the money is immediately deposited into Child's Play's PayPal account.

My browser doesn't crash, it updates the total just fine. However when I click to pay, it seems like it's working for a few seconds, then the button pops back up ready to click again. Nothing's processing at all it seems, it just seems like it's working for a few seconds then pretends like I never clicked it. This happened to me a few weeks ago, I checked my paypal balance and nothing was withdrawn, so it's not doing anything.
 
i'm not surprised they didnt reach the goal this year, but a good turn out nonetheless. but seriously.. this year's goal pretty much DOUBLED from last year's... forget shooting for the moon, that's overkill, like shooitng for pluto. I donated more myself this year, and I'm sure maNY others did as well, so the overall expectation was way out of the ballpark.

regardless, good job to everyone donating, and good luck for everyone with the raffle

Hm, I'm using Firefox 3.5.6 too. Here are some things to try:

1. Try using Internet Explorer.
2. Launch Firefox in safe mode and choose to disable your add-ons, maybe one of them is causing a problem.
  • Start | Programs | Mozilla Fire Firefox | Firefox (safe mode)
  • or use Run and type: firefox -safe-mode
    ​
3. Clear out information stored by Firefox.

  • Tools | Clear Recent History
  • Time range to clear: "Everything".
  • Click the Details drop-down arrow to expand the window.
  • Checkmark as many options as possible, especially "Cookies" "Active Logins" and "Site Preferences".
  • Click the "Clean Now" button.
  • Exit Firefox. Then re-launch Firefox and try donating again.
Oh something else, I have a Paypal account, but I did not log in to make my donation, I just put in my credit card info and chose "Continue without logging in to Paypal". That might be something else to try.
