I just bought a Hero2 for a Hawaii trip I'm taking next week, and was prompted to update the firmware when I plugged it into my Mac. I did so, but now it's stuck at a v198 screen and won't proceed - been that way for a few hours now.
Google and the GoPro forums lead me to believe I've now got a $200 brick. Anyone here come across the same issue and fixed it without an RMA? They're located in Riverside so I could drive it out and hopefully get it back before I leave, but I'd rather just fix the one I have for now and deal with that when I get back.
