CAG Killzone 2 Game Night [Currently Inactive]

Played from 6-7pm PST. I was always on the winning team with CheapyD and Wombat.

I noticed I get a network error when I use my bluetooth headset. Could it just be coincidence or is there actually interference with the wifi?
 
Lots o' fun. Started to get a little unbalanced towards the end. Seems like everyone was above rank 5 on the other team and we had mostly below 3's.

It was still fun! I'm really getting used to the controls now.
 
I had an awesome time tonight for the few matches I played. Wombat didn't take up my suggestion to teamkill Cheapy, though :(

Won every match my side was on except for the first one, which was a draw. I thought it'd go for another round, for sure.
 
Tons of fun as usual. Those spawn points make for utter chaos when strategically placed. Bowed out early but leveled up to sergeant major and knocked out a few revival specialist ribbons (can't wait to get back to my beloved shotty)
 
Thanks a lot for showing up everyone. We had a pretty good turnout overall. Dropped down a bit later on, but we still had more than half the game full at least.
 
Well I would go with no more weapons for you. You could probably just melee everybody and still come out ahead. You do own with the grenade launcher though, I can't kill anybody with that thing.
 
Just a thought... I noticed it says "Syncing Clients" then "Syncing Gameserver" at the end of a match. Could the host/players leaving before it does that cause the loss of stats?

Also... is there a limit to the amount of mobile spawn points people can deploy? I noticed in a few games no one would bother throwing out any spawn points, and no one squadded up so when I died I had to start WAY back at the start. :roll:

Great games as always everyone. Ranked up to Colonel. Hats off to the sniper on the Pyrhuss Rise map, my head kept getting blown off so often that I was getting scared to even leave the base :(

Yeah, I think that was me too. I noticed I kill streaked you a bunch of times at the beginning of that game. :lol:
 
After playing I realize nobody ever takes up the liberty to play tactician... I make it a point now that on my first life or the begining of each round to toss a spawn point then switch classes.

GGs... dave cheapel blew my shins off a few times >_< I gots him backs thoughs

If I could I'd probably play as tactician a lot... It fits how I was playing a few of the games tonight. Run in and toss a spawn point.
 
I think once I unlock some more classes I can be at ease in these games. I kind of want to get points fast so naturally I'm a little disappointed when we lose. Plus I think I'd prefer 16 player games but I'm gonna play around some more and learn all the maps. I still cannot get over how great the game looks.

Also no west coast people are allowed to complaign; I just hosted an extended CAG match until ten minutes ago ;)
 
I guess I did okay my first couple matches with the Revival item. I don't know how to heal people, though. Although, no one seems to want a heal, though.

Thanks for keeping it going for us. It was fun playing with everyone even though the teams were pretty small.

And it's funny, every time I play with you I am ALWAYS on the other team. Even when I switch between teams you switch too. I am destined to be blown up by you constantly...

Also you got some crazy point blank sniper shots on me. Damn.

thanks. caught the tailend of mana and then yours and then some...

finally got the damn turrets ribbon.

in my last game, this guy was wrecking everyone with assault + grenade launcher.
 
Good time to be had by all in Boston's event though it was just us few west coast cags. I enjoyed the match on Radec Academy, and a sidenote I accepted your friend request to Hitman.

After playing a bit of mulitplayer I found that I really hate Visari Hammer; which is the map with the mushroom cloud in the distance and the ash falling on that platform. I also doubt that Mana has it in the map rotation either, but I do remember playing it with Cheapy and just getting owned a lot on it.

Anyway what's happening for Saturday's CAG night during mid day I believe? Since it still has "looking for host" status

Lastly I finished the story and it's just "eh" to me, muiltplayer is what I knew it would used for mostly anyway.

The only problem I have with spawn points is when a tactician throws one right outside our base then it's 25 minutes of spawning and being killed right away. No fun at all.

If people hate it, they really shouldn't vote for it IMO.

Saturday afternoon, still looking for a host (but I'll deal with that later today). Saturday evening, I will host.
 
great game last night!

i wish the engineer can use a different weapon than the shotgun.

and whoever kept putting c4 on the stairs...i hate you.

then again, im the retard who kept running up them and getting blown up.

Mana: My internet has been pretty stable since I got a new cable modem from my ISP. Do you need a super fast connection to host? My connection is 7mb/1mb. If that's good enough, I don't mind hosting on Saturday afternoon. Just send me instructions on how to set it up.

Have you unlocked the medic badge? Im guessing you havent because of you saying you did ok in your first couple of matches (unless you meant that night or whatever).

If you have unlocked it then select medic in the character selection screen. When someone needs healing press left on the d-pad, aim, press R1 (or whatever you have shoot assigned too). Wait until it recharges, then repeat :)

Anyway, how many people are showing up on the Saturday afternoon game?

We have two games on Saturday (people can show up to either one or both). There's a CAGCast game on Sunday. Lastly, there MIGHT be a hardcore vs. casual clan match on Monday. I just hope people don't get sick of it with all this KZ2. :p But it will slow down a little after this most likely.

Aw.. Missed last night but I'll be on over the weekend. I'll be on to accept the invite tonight. Been pretty busy with college work.

Yeah, I had a good time playing the smaller games. If for any reason I was not getting kill constantly and it gave a chance to explore the maps. I had a great time play in the larger games as well, but I did not know what the hell I was doing at first. Give me sometime and I'll rack up the kills in no time!

I had alot of fun last night. Despite the fact I realize just how bad I am at the game... I'll have to play again sometime. Probably next week since I'm working overnights for the next few days... And I hope that I own some sort of headset the next time I play. I'm debating on just grabbing a cheap one or spending the money to get that nice PS3 headset.

Edit: does it annoy anyone else that if you destroy an enemy torrent and are to close to the torrent it counts as a suicide?
 
You don't need a good connection to host; atleast I don't believe so. My connection is only like 1mb/sec and we didn't have any lag last night, I don't think atleast.

In that case, I can be host or backup host when needed.
 
Last night was a blast. Finally finished off my health pack ribbons and got the Boost ability. Boost is such a blast to use for those propaganda speaker rounds. Though I do kinda miss the health pack ability since you can use it to heal yourself.

There was some really bad lag last night. I ended up getting a headshot on someone and I had been lying on the ground for 3 seconds already.
