CAG Warhawk Night [TBD]

Here's the setup for Friday's game:

DM - Archipelago: Close Corridors
ZNS - Island Outpost: Installation
CTF - Badlands: Fortress
TDM - Destroyed Capital: Dogfight
ZNS* - Eucadia: Summit Command
CTF* - Archipelago: Acropolis Assault
DM - Island Outpost: Dogfight
TDM - Eucadia: Northern Bridge
DM - Badlands: South City

All matches are 10 minutes, except for the * which are 15. I'm not designating any of the DMs as a knife fight, but feel free to use only your knife if you want. :D

Yeah, something like that. ;) Thanks for the heads-up, wasn't able to check the store (couldn't find my controller). So more than likely I'll have both packs for tomorrow.

And good list there Metaly, but I don't see 'Warhawk Olympics' listed. We still doing that, maybe after the regular rotation?
 
Add 'APC Javelin Toss' as an official Olympic sport. I must have cleared 300ft in the air last night.

Aw, I missed the APC toss.

Maybe I'll take an informal poll about the Warhawk Olympics at the end of the rotation. If enough people are interested, I'll just set up one long round and people can go nuts. I can't remember what they were supposed to involve besides flying outside the map, though. :) I love how every time we tried to do that last night there were 30 seconds left in the round and then it switched to an infantry-only layout.
 
Javelin toss you say? I showed up too late for that.

I was digging the Warhawk trampoline tho, with I think metaly and smog getting tossed in the air from my plane.

I won't be able to show until about 11pm tonight, so I'm hoping there's a late game or maybe some Olympics going on at that time.

How did you miss the APC toss... you hosted. :lol:
I liked seeing how high of a roof I could get the APC.

Polling at the end never works, as most don't have/use their mics. I've tried that before with 10 people in a game and I got one sure and a another whatever. Just announce that it will happen and let the people that want to show up.

I think I was flying on the wrong side of the map. At one point you guys all started cheering at something and I was just like, huh?

And there are only a couple times I've gotten vertigo in a game (Tall, Tall Mountain in SM64, I'm looking at you), but the warhawk trampoline was getting pretty freaky. Those warhawk wings are too slippery!

It was nice that we tried it with half a minute left and I ended up dropping you almost right in that crevice...We all started cheering cuz we thought you fell in, but I guess not..

If it starts garbling during a dogfight, maybe you should set the sensitivity in the dogfight.

We didn't really have olympics, we were just messing around and did some olympic like things.

Frisky thought it might be permanent, as there are other combo packs that are still available, but I didn't want to take a chance.

You'll have to tell us about what happened in BSG when you get in the game.

Sorry, I left early because of connection issues again. :roll: Thankfully, this SHOULD be my last Friday night with this worry, since I'll be able to host Friday night from now on.

Anyway, I updated the thread on post 2 where it list all the clan members. However, I copied/pasted an old list (which dates back to Feb.), so there are a bunch of people who are in the clan, but not listed. I'll get it updated tomorrow:

Those were some fierce battles. :hot: That zones match on Eucadia was one of the best rounds in CAG Warhawk history. Everyone on the red team did a great job coordinating, and the blue team put up a good fight, too.

Thanks to DD and his invincible connection again for being ready so quickly with the backup server. I guess I'll stick to hosting smaller games, like if we do another booster night.
 
Had to leave early you guys, but that was an excellent game night. The turnout was pretty good, and we saw some new players as well. ;)

As for my mic, it DOES seem weird that whenever I go into a vehicle, it starts gargling like crazy. In the dogfights, I just turn off my mic so that I don't 'stick out' in the crowd. ;)

I will play with you guys tomorrow if I'm not too busy in the evening... And did someone ask during the dogfight if I did porn? :shock: lol
 
Wow, there was a nice turnout tonight. I showed up at 11:30 expecting a handful of people, and there was at least 20. Lots of new names, which is good that we're expanding, although I think it had something to do with Wombat bringing in his celebrity status.
 
Oh man those were some smoking hot games tonight. Really glad to see the turnout just getting better and better. Nice that Wombat joined as well. Gotta say I look forward to Warhawk night every week.

That was fun. I think I finally got my headset working, or maybe I was talking to myself again. And I must say, you guys were pretty sneaky during the 2nd CTF on the badlands map. I was looking for your flag carrier, then looked up and saw him hitching a ride on a warhawk. I wasn't expecting that!

All right, I update the clan list. I sent invites to the following people:
-DaNaD
-wombat5277 (switch him to the right clan)

Also, DD83 did you have the teams randomized and balanced yesterday? I don't care whether you randomize or not, I just care about balanced teams (so one doesn't have more players, unless people quit on one team).

If Warhawk night gets so big, I see us having to split into two servers, like:
-One download content
-The other without download content

Anyway, I do plan to buy the map back bundle; however, I gotta get a few finances straight (I plan to get that, CoD4, and SSHD ones).
 
That was a great Warhawk night. I thought I was even going to pull off the win in one of the dogfights, but someone stole it from me at the last second. I did get two kills with one TOW missile that round.

Does being in the clan make it easy to find other clan members that are currently playing? If so, I would like to get in so I can find other CAGs playing during the week.

No one complained so I guess my open mic settings weren't to annoying. I think I managed to get by without shouting too many expletives. :)

That was a good night. Sounds like you guys kept playing for a long time after I left. I hope wombat doesn't brag about his one kill in the dogfight cuz it was me! I only finally got into Warhawk a couple weeks ago, and I started in the CAG nights last week. Don't know if I'll make it tonight so if not, see ya'll next week...

I had the randomize on, but there still isn't a "Team Balance" setting (fairly sure, I was in a hurry to start the server and I usually have everything but "All talk" and "Fly with flag" on) and I noticed several times, especially when we were down to around 10 people, where teams were very unbalanced. One time everyone was on one team and no one was on the other.:lol:

Next time wombat shows up we have to initiate him into a 'nifes 'n 'nades game. :twisted:

I then noticed there was a "SoCalChick" on the team, and that the other team was all one clan.... so that meat it was tme for me to leave.

I wanted to wait for the PSN cards too, but not knowing for sure if the $12 would last for long, I had to pull the trigger. And I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't set up in an "Add $5, $10, $20, $50 to wallet" type of way.

Meh... I'm five hours and change away.

When I got it I did not have to add funds to my wallet. I just ht the checkout button and it charged my card the exact amount. :applause:
 
Lol, yeah dont know how you would swing that one. Maybe convince her it is a "business" meeting..We got serious Warhawk business!! On a serious note, I have absolutely never heard of Ellsie. Did not even know that "villages" still exist. Whereabouts in Michigan?

Elsie is the Dairy Capital of Michigan. Hope you aren't sensitive to the smell of poo. I grew up near there and still live in the area.
