if they cant do that then why not make a big online fighter with a bunch of marvel villans/heroes fully destructable environments. like a big ass powerstone but with marvel characters with their powers full realized. the main thing comic book fans want is to be able to control their favorite characters so instead of trying to go the story route just make a big fighting game with tons of interactivity.

and as you fight in the gae maybe you meet up or find hidden characters in the game world and can decide to switch to them and use them.
You're pretty much describing the canceled unreleased game that was in development at EA Chicago before the studio got axed.

Great show as always, sounds like wombat could have picked up some cag-groupies at PAX if he didn't have a missus ;). Shipwreck is totally getting into the flow of the show now, he's a pretty funny guy.

cheapy ... if i were you i would be walking around locker rooms naked all the time with my mr big man sized penis

also, really cool to meet you at pax wombat ... you were the funniest one at the panel and definitely got the most applause (deserved)

This game was made by Shaba and Treayach.
I used to qa on web of shadows with Shaba games. The combat is great and fluid, but the story is shit and spidey's voice over is a whiney little bitchass actor. I was telling the producers that you must be kidding me that we are going to use this guys as the voice for spider-man. If this game had more time it could've been a great game.

Cheapy and Wombat:

Not to be a toolshed but you wait "in line" and jerk off to porn "online," there's a difference.

When I first played the Just Cause 2 Demo, I tried to make connections with it to other games. What I got was a mix of Grand Theft Auto 4 (Open world) + InFAMOUS (Agility) + Spiderman (Swinging Mechanic). I suppose my question is: What kind of combination of games would you put together to make an incredible unsurpassable amazing game?

It's a Northern US thing.
When is the new CAG logo coming? Let's get Shipwreck up there!
CAGcast 200. And don't get too excited, I can assure you, you will be disappointed.

Wombat-- Your annoying sounds during the GoDaddy bit woke my dog up. Also, what games were shown exclusively behind closed doors at PAX East? I haven't heard of any...

There are some of us out there who are saddened by the loss of Linux on the PS3, though it was not unexpected with the lack of support on the Slim. The Cell is not the greatest processor on the planet to work with, and RSX access was limited, but the system was inexpensive, and was a nice complete unit (CPU, Memory, Network) that could be clustered together to perform computational tasks. The firmware update doesn't really matter for us since we aren't on the PSN anyway, but this is the final nail in the coffin for these inexpensive computing nodes.

Great episode! Shipwreck has been a great addition, it's good to hear someone talk about rpg's and more niche games. Keep up the good work!

Good show guys. Now that goozex allows us to trade old games (finally), do you guys have any recommendations for Gameboy or Gameboy Color games?

Hey, guys, I just wanted to mention I know exactly how you felt in high school, Cheapy, because the showers in my high school were very terrifying. Who wants to stand there with a bunch of your naked peers in a small area where somebody is always waiting to call anyone a homo (not to mention the issues with your own penile insecurities). I don't know how your showers were set up but ours were just two big metal pillars with shower heads circling them (ultimately forcing anyone to look at each other while they shower).

Keep up the good shows :)

Right on Wombat, your complaint about the press exclusive events at PAX East had merit. PAX is for the people so companies shouldn't be taking up the convention space by sucking journalist cock. I hope they don't do that next year but I bet they don't care. Btw, once again, it was great to meet you and if you go to another panel, I will be back to see you. :)

Hope Shippy and Cheapy would get their priorities straight and give the East Coast some love.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who feels too awkward to go into the shower. Though if you're in Japan, you're almost guaranteed to feel like a God due to their very very small pee pee's. :D

And props to Wombat for calling out companies on not doing more at PAX. These are the consumers. These are the people you want to impress.

great show as always.

Wario DIY is awesome if you like creating content. You can also create comics besides just games. Plus the ability to use sounds, characters, backgrounds from your favorite Nintendo games is a bonus.

Your podcast always brightens my day. Another great show, and I already can't wait for the next. Wombat had some good PAX East coverage, I may look into going to Seattle this year for PAX.

Wonderful show. I'm glad Wombat is thinking about the little guy and raising concerns about things like press exclusives at PAX. We need more people in the industry that will call bs on stuff like that.

I was kinda thinking about going to Pax East next year but if its gonna have behind closed doors stuff like everything else I'm kinda meh on the subject. I love that t-shirt shipwreck sorry the wife won't let you wear it.

Linux on the PS3 kept hackers away because you didn't need to crack it. Load up Linux and make any mods you want. Now we're forced to decide if online play is more important then the freedom of modification GRRR

Great show guys. I like how Shipwreck always has the facts going. As for DLC, I know a lot of it sucks but what are some of your favorite DLCs?
I've gotta say, I'm disappointed the episode wasn't titled 13 Inches of Red Fury

And Wombat, I looked all over for you at PAX and never found you, gotta say I was disappointed, but there's always next year...
lol, I agree that would have been a better title.

I don't post much but had to say I love the podcast guys especially with the addition of shipwreck. Great show and I loved Cheapy trying to weasel in Crecente being a douschebag. Nice work.

My wife always listens to the beginning of each CAGCast with me because she knows that you guys will always talk about something hilariously offtopic. I am glad to say that you guys have delivered once again with talk of locker room shower hilarities.

Wombat: Another "I agree with Wombat about PAX" bump. No need to have press exclusives at an event driven toward gamers.

Cheapy: I am all too familiar with being shower shy - however the worse is when it's reverse. That's when you have a guy who is all too comfortable with himself and will attempt to have a 30 minute conversation with you while his yambag hanging out in the locker room. I like to call these guys the "CockNBallers"

Ship: How the hell did you know that info about Acclaim? You are a true gamer my friend.

PAX sounds awesome.
Seems Cheapy was a little envious.
E3 seems awesome.
I stopped playing games altogether for about half a year, but I played the Just Cause 2 demo and its seems like GTA but 100x better. Must get. $60 needed.
CAG ROCKS. Best video game/ overall podcast out there.
