I have fond memories of a game in overhead view, and the screen scroll forces you up I believe. I think the character resembled link on the nes, and he could have a sword that could also shoot projectiles. I think you could get multiple types of swords too.

It was probably for NES, but it could have been something else. It was on a ripoff system they call 'family' back in saudi that could really be any format.

are you sure it wasn't for TG-16 - there were a few... nuetopia, for starters...

can you give us some more details?
 
Crystallis looks nice but that's not it. It had much smaller sprites than Neutopia

It looked very similar to King's Knight but it was simpler and with worse graphics probably. The first level had only two huge walls like in a canyon. It might have been the turbographic, I had no idea about system names back then. The family system would come with a few thousand games already in the system with nothing in the slot, alot of times repeating the same games...
