Alright, the Americans have a wiki page with all the EB Games trade-in values and I figured we might as well start one for the Canadian EB. It's good reference for if we ever want to sell our soul or maybe take advantage of loopholes in their promos! I'll try and keep the list updated as much as possible.

If you have info to add, please do so in the following format:
*Game Name - $# - Month Day, Year
For example:
*Sonic Mega Collection - $8 - September 29th, 2006.

Group them by system please!

Yikes, those are some awful, awful trade-in values. I remember a time when I could get an entire game just by trading two others in.
 
Is it worth doing a separate (or joint) list of BBV trade-in values as well?

I was at the St. Albert Bellerose Drive location (Alberta) last Thursday trying all my old games for the "trade 4 for 360 preorder" deal and the guy there Allan printed out a list of all the values for me. I did manage to find four that worked, but here's the list:

Also, I know a lot of people complain about EB Games, and yes, the trade-in values are low, but they take almost anything. Quite a few of the games I traded in were bought used from BlockBuster, and were worst for wear. Of course, trading in newish games in mint condition is a different story...

When you take in so many crap games, you are going to need high margins to compensate for the all crappy games you have to throw away because nobody will buy them.

Seems to be any game, since the original trade in values of the game I got the promo for were between $4 to $6.

actually the game has to have a trde in value of $3 or more. i remember this from the last time they had the promotion.

If you trade in 3 games you get an extra 10 bucks, that's pretty much it.

Trade in 6 (or was it 5) and you get 20 extra.

Trade 10 and get 50 extra.
 
Are you guys adding the extra $5 or $3 with the trade 3, 5, 10 deal.

Some of there seem high for EB.

When posting trade in, please post the original trade in value and then any bonus. Makes it easier to find the $8 games good for the trade 3 deals.

Thanks Ranzo, your list was right on. I picked up 6 of those games for next to nothing and traded them in for new Wii games. Can't beat approx $20 Can for a new Wii game.

I can't really help you with anything specific considering we are at opposite ends of the country. But what I did was print out a list of every game in this thread and in the wiki that trades in for $8 or more. I then hit all the used stores/ pawn shops etc to find some. Now i got really lucky because the first store I went to had 6 games on my list for 9.99 or less. I know the owner well and I'm a regular so I got a great discount. To be honest I was only planning on buying Zelda at launch, but this deal is too good to pass up. I got Madden and Red Steel today with this deal, and I think I will go find 3 more $8 games and get monkey ball or trauma center. Make sure to check Ranzo's list above it has some really surprising $8 games that you should be able to find cheap. Remember the cheapest a new Wii game is going to be in Canada is $62 with tax so even if you have to pay more than I did, you should be able to save 30 - 50 % no problem.

The trade 3 for any Wii game is on until the end of the month, so if you got $8 or more in trade recently let everyone know. I'm going to try to get a few games tonight so I will post which ones worked later.

Is there anyway to tell if the trade in value is $8.00 based on the sale price?

To they generally give a certain percentage of the sale price?
