Alright, the Americans have a wiki page with all the EB Games trade-in values and I figured we might as well start one for the Canadian EB. It's good reference for if we ever want to sell our soul or maybe take advantage of loopholes in their promos! I'll try and keep the list updated as much as possible.

If you have info to add, please do so in the following format:
*Game Name - $# - Month Day, Year
For example:
*Sonic Mega Collection - $8 - September 29th, 2006.

Group them by system please!

Used the first four for $100 off a PS3+GH3 Bundle. And yes, I got burned on Infamous. Was going to do a straight trade-in, but the EB dude was more shocked than I was that it dropped so quickly, especially since it was $40 earlier in the day. Ended up keeping it. He said it might go back up.

Problemz: Was 40.00 unless it changed very recently. If you have the GOTY for COD4 make sure you ask them to input it as Call of Duty 4 and not the GOTY, because the GOTY trades in for 9-10 dollars less for some reason.

Big drops at EB on these two

Punch Out! - $21.50
Mario Kart Wii - $25.25

I figured Punch out would be lower than the $37 quotes on tivs.ca due to the Rogers sale, but man I was disappointed Mario Kart dropped so much too. Went in hoping for $72 and ended up with $46.75

I traded those for a T3G1F. I might buy back Bioshock later at $19.99 at EB using EB credit, but I needed a 3rd game for a T3G1f and it got me equivalent of $23.33... considering it sells for $19.99 at EB, drop it soon.
 
EB Games:
Wet (Xbox 360) went down from 35 to 29.50.

Its an absurd slide in TIVS. Either RFD collapsed the EB stock market or they are adjusting to price games back at $59.99.
 
Hey, just went to EB here in Vancouver, B.C. to trade Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare, non GOTY version, towards Uncharted 2. Crappy thing is, trade in value today is $27.50, yesterday it was $37 for crying out loud, would have traded it yesterday if I knew damn! Just an FYI to all....
 
ouch, I was going to trade Prototype for $40 credit towards Boarderlands, and a trade 3 (Riddick,Far Cry 2,Gears) towards Assassins Creed 2 on Tuesday when I pick up Uncharted 2, with values dropping fast like this I may not make it
 
Crazy drops lately! I was under the impression the TIV didn't change much on the weekends:( Any chance EB will be open tomorrow?
 
Truthfully, it's about time COD4 dropped in value...Wal-Mart has been selling it for $35 for quite some time now. It's still ridiculous it's $50-$60 at all the other retailers.

Yes, these drops KILLED me. I missed this + some games I had for T3 just died. Argh.
 
I remember a few months back (when BBV had the B2G1 sale) a lot of older TIVs had jumped up a lot and started to qualify again for T3G1F, so it seems there might be some seasonal patterns to it?
 
Just got back from EBgames and picked up my preorders, I tried for a trade 3 for Borderlands and if Prototype was still $40 I was going to preorder Assassins Creed 2.

Gears of War, Far Cry 2 and Riddick worked for Boarderlands

Some updated values of games I brought but did not trade in

God of War (PSP) - $7.25
Gears of War 2 - $14.00
Prototype (360) - $23 (I'll keep it and play it for that value)
 
anyone know if FS takes scratched games?
I have CoD4 for the 360 and theres a perfect circle scratch around it LOL.
I tried using those scratch remover things but only the small scratches went away. I hope they accept it, or I wouldn't even mind paying a fee..like what EB games does when theres scratch games. I think its only 2 dollars. But seeing how CoD4 is still 37 at FS, I rather trade it there. Hopefully they take it though.

Bah, the guy had already processed the T3 before I could get the exact values, but as of Oct 14/09, The Godfather II (PS3), Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box (DS) and GTA Chinatown Wars (DS) are all $8+ (I picked up Brutal Legend, thanks for asking).

For those interested:

I haven't heard from my buddy about any word on prices dropping to 59.99 of late. She seems to think they will though too.

A lot of the drops have come with price drops as well, and really just look at the stock when you walk into the stores. I mean there are massive amounts of copies for some of these games that have dropped recently (Halo Wars, Gears 2, Gears, Resident Evil 5, etc). Personally I normally try to just get games above the $8 threshold rather than the $40 games, since I find it far easier to get more of them for less $. I don't think it has anything to do with RFD/CAG them going down. Some will be in accordance with other deals as well (both Killzone 2 and Infamous are 15.00 and on most wanted), but that was because of the Rogers deal.

They do it every year and purge some of the higher inflated values down lower. Some are always left behind, just have to look harder to find them.

I found a copy of that today in one of my BBVs.
Also $9.99 at BBV and worth > $8 is Trauma Center: Second Opinion (Wii)
And if you don't mind spending $14.99 at BBV for T3 games, you can pick
up Leisure Suit Larry: B.O.B. (360) it's worth $8.00 at EB.

I donated $8 to neksus today for his wonderful tivs.ca. I know you did put a lot of effort on this website and it helped us all a LOT.

I hope you will find the energy to continue your hard work. You help us get many hot new releases by trading used games that would be difficulty to sell otherwise. Thanks for your hard work.

I updated EBgames TIvs on tivs.ca (did not want to use futureshop column for bestbuy tivs, according to RFD bestbuy does not exactly matches FS because BB is based on an older version of FS tivs.

Halo 3 (9.99 BBV) + GOW 2 ($24.99 BBV) + Excite Truck ($9.99 BBV) + Pure PS3 ($19.99 BBV) = new games Dirt 2 and Fallout 3 GOTY at Bestbuy... nice stuff.
