I need something to put my computer chair on because I just moved into a place that has much nicer carpet than my previous place and I dont want the wheels on my chair to ruin it. I've looked at it appears that chair mats go for $40+...which seems outrageous to me for a piece of rubber. If anyone knows hwere i can get something cheaper i'd appreciate it.

watch what you get. be sure it has nubs on the bottom side otherwise u'll slip and bust yer ass! check staples. cant remember what I paid for mine, but it was decent. they have various types, but Id spring for the one with tapered edges. MUCH easier gettn the chair back on the mat if you rolled off.
