So I've noticed a lot of PS2 games getting reprinted with cheap cases (the ones with the crappy spindle).

Please post any game you know that has either a cheap case printing or has only been released with a cheap case.

Alone in the Dark
Disgaea Hour of Darkness
God of War 2
Okami
Odin Sphere
Persona 3 FES
Persona 4
We Love Katamari
 
Eternal Poison came in the newer style cases. Same with Dynasty Warriors 6.

EDIT - I just got Silent Hill - Origins today and while I haven't opened it, I can tell it is one of the new, flimsy cases. Boourns.

Is the cheap case the one without the memory card holder?

Isn't that case being used for every new PS2 release now?

Yes and yes.

The Ar Tonelico reprint was released with the cheap case. As was the 2rd reprint of Nocturne and reprint of DDS.
 
All of the $10 SNK fighters are in the cheap cases (KoF XI, Neo Geo Colosseum). I assume Orochi Saga is and Samurai Showdown collection will be.
 
I think every rock rhythm game after Guitar Hero Encore - Rocks the 80s comes in the cheap case, or at least, one without the memory card slot, so that'd include:

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock
Rock Band
Guitar Hero Aerosmith
Rock Band Track Pack Vol. 1
AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band Track Pack
Rock Band 2

I don't have Rock Band Track Pack Vol. 2 or Guitar Hero World Tour yet, but I'd guess the same applies...
 
Looking through my games, I found these that have the horrible cases:

God of War- Greatest Hit Edition(could be a newer version?)
WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2008
WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009

If it wasn't for the spindle, I'd have no problem with them. But that spindle was horribly designed.
