cheap decent sounding 5.1 pc speaker system

the Logitech Z-640 is what i currently have, and it's pretty decent for it's price. i bought it about a year ago, for ~$50, it should still be around that price range now.

Its pretty good...I've got it too. Mine was $40 about a year ago.

Yes, but not with 5.1. You can use a stereo adapter to get 2 channels of sound, but there is no optical output for 5.1.
 
I'm selling some logitech z-680's for $150 picked up if your in SoCal. prolly one of the best computer speaker sets on the market for the price. this is what i'm using for my xbox, ps2, and ngc. it sounds incredible but I ordered the z-5500's so Ive no use for these anymore.
