Cheap/free 'casual' PC games?

Does anyone have a recommendation for a game or two I can download and play on my laptop? I'm looking for something fun to have hanging around the hard drive for those times I have a few minutes to play something light and fun, but that doesn't require massive hard drive space, graphics, or Internet.

Basically-- I'm bored of playing Solitaire and Minesweeper! =)

There is a wide variety of sites to get you lite and easy games but the most recommended site is steam.com or a torrent site like piratebay.com or kickasstorrents.com most are a dollar on steam and the torrent sites are free to download.

check out magazell's free PC game thread. tons of free games and b/c they're free they tend to be smallish. PvZ is great fun but it's not really free. but it is worth every penny and totally replayable.

N - http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/ it can get pretty addictive. I just recently downloaded Octodad as well. Both are free.

i should have written this before the steam sale was over... all of those have demos, & all have my approval since i got them
