Obviously, you don't know what you were talking about.

Staples had 40 gig iPods on clearance for $70. The 40 gig iPods have screens. They were real iPods. And last I heard, Staples has yet to have gone out of business for having been "dumbs."

the staples ipod was the HP branded. Hp has decided not to produce rebranded Ipods anymore - did not renew license with Apple I suppose. I imagine that is why there was a price drop to clear them out..
