I just got a skateboard deck through Target's clearance on the Tony Hawk Project 8 bundle. It's my first time owning one. I figured it'd be a fun hobby to try out, but I'm utterly clueless about where to find the best online deals for skateboard equipment. I have a few skate shops in the area (I do live in the San Fernando Valley, after all) but I'd like to figure out some prices before heading to those places and possibly getting ripped off.

Check places like blankskatesupply.com and blankdecks.com. I used to be in to skating and from what I read it seems like big name parts aren't worth the extra money. I think most people said only brand name trucks are worth the money.
