[customspoiler=Basic FAQ]
-Basic Info/Overview
For those that don't know Club Nintendo is Nintendo's loyalty program of sorts. When you buy a Nintendo Console/Handheld, or a Nintendo published game, you get a pin that you can enter online to earn points. These points can then be redeemed for games, accesories, and collectable items. If you earn enough points in a Club year (300 for gold and 600 for platinum, which each have their own reward), you also receive a free bonus only available to a select few. You can read the full list of eligible titles, as well as their point value, here.

-How do I get coins for digital purchases?
In order to earn coins on any digital games you purchase on Wii/WiiU/3DS/DSi, you will first need to link you Club Nintendo account to your system. Instruction for doing so can be found here.

-Can I play the Wii games on my Wii-U?
Yes, but as of now, only in Wii mode. Native Wii U support might be added later on, but will most likely require the typical $1-$1.50 fee to transfer over.

-How do I play Wii games on Wii U
You will need to enter Wii mode on your Wii U. Instructions on doing so can be found http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wiiu/en_na/features_wii_menu.jsp?menu=wii_shop&submenu=wup-wiishop-ht-redeem-code"]here[/url].

- If I don't spend coins for the entire year long period, do they carry over?
Yes, you can keep your coins past the Club Nintendo year they are redeemed in. However they only count toward gold or platinum status for the Nintendo year (june 31st-july 1st) they are redeemed in. After two years old points do expire, so make sure to spend them before then. You can check Coin balance information while, logged in, at the top of the page.

- Is there a list of previous rewards for people who accumulated a lot of coins? Similar to Square Enix's Ultimate Tier?
The extra rewards for Club Nintendo are for those that accumulate enough points to hit Gold or Platinum status (300 and 600 points, respectively). If you reach the required number of points in a year, Nintendo will automatically send you your reward, with no cost to you or your points.

- Does the list of eligible games update as the games come out or on some sort of schedule?
The list will be updated before the game comes out, do to things like Pre-Purchase bonus points. Any game you can buy, should already be on the list and able to redeem.

- When do they typically announce the prizes for Gold and Platinum?
Generally at the end of a Club Nintendo year, but don't expect it anytime soon. Usually it will take at least several months for them to ship it out.

- Is there anyway to enter multiple copies of the same game or device?
They have an option in the settings to make your account a family account, which means it can have sub-accounts that allows you to register multiple copies of games. The coins from all the sub-accounts all end up in the same main account coin collection.

- How does the site show what balance of coins you have to spend versus your total towards Gold/Platinum?
At the top right of the screen you can see the coin counter. The big number is your total coin amount, and the bar underneath is your progress to gold or platinum status. The number needed to advance is displayed directly above said bar. Redeeming your coins does not affect this counter, as it is only reset at the end of the year.

- How can I tell if a code is valid without redeeming it?
If you want to check if a code has already been registered, without registering it yourself, all you need to do is try entering the code while you are logged out. It will tell you the name of the game, as well as how many points it is worth, without activating it.[/customspoiler]

Let me know if I missed anything or if something breaks!

Just throwing it out there... I got 1,600+ coins (with over 2,000 in vouchers laying around) and I just can't justify the statue. I am sure there are people who can or will buy it just because it's unique, but I don't think the statue will appeal to many beyond "hey, it's something not completely awful to buy", which was a common statement with the 3DS XL cradle.
Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't pay 1500 coins for it (mainly because I love the digital games they started and never have enough anyways), and I know why it wouldn't be worth it, but a statue is better than just letting the coins go to waste.

That seems to be a common trait with coin hoarders who won't incessantly stalk the CN site / this thread. They have the coins to spend, but things just sell out too fast for them to get to it. The Zelda posters sold out in what, less than an hour (*EDIT* Actually it took about a day, the 3DS XL chargers sold out in that time frame is what I was thinking about)? That is a pretty basic item but it still sold out fast because it was only a 500 price tag that most could easily swing.

Last year we saw the Kirby medal, which was one of the coolest items offered in the US. The medal was small, but looked amazing and is pretty heavy. This coin was LE 1,000 (took like 8 hours to sell out too) and was only 600 coins. I would be ALL OVER the Luigi statue for 600 coins, consider it for 800, but 1,500 is excessive.
800-1000 coins would be more reasonable given the typical coin vs. value ratio, but I think CN is trying to see how high they can go on these limited items. There are just too many coins out there that they need to either lower the coins earned per survey or increase the price on the premium items. I'd rather them do the latter and still keep the digital games at the same value.

The Kirby medal is the only thing I regret not picking up, I had the coins to spend, just thought I should wait to see what came up next. I can bet that if it was released today, it definitely wouldn't last 8 hours this time.

On the website it says it's for use with a 3DS, DS Lite, and DSi. So unfortunately, it won't fit with a 3DS XL.
yeah I know but I googled the dimensions and it should leave ample room, on paper anyways. just was curious if anyone had actually tried and could verify one way or the other.

It's up. 1500 coins.
Main, I probably have enough CN codes sitting around to get to 1500 but that is so many coins. Then again it's fairly snazzy.

The statue should have been the reward for Platinum members,
Indeed!

Edit- Shouldn't have followed that link to see more pictures on the UK CN, super jealous of the stuff they've got.

I was just gonna post that....why does North America have such a laughable selection....I knee jerk bought the statue because I know at least half my coins expire in June and I have seen nothing interesting since the gold nunchuk.

If anyone is curious about if the 3DS XL will fit inside the Mario and Luigi Hat Pouches. Credit goes to the 3Ds boards over on reddit.

while I'm yet to get any of the new stuff CN has offered, I am glad they're actually adding new things. it's, dare I say... trending in the right direction?

Still canNOT believe I missed out on that cradle!!!

Oh? I didn't realize coins expired. I thought only "status" expired.

It was the cradle, but the cradle was a unique situation. Remember, we knew about it at least 3 days in advance, so people had ample time to obtain coins.

I agree, though I don't think Nintendo has realized that the issue comes into play by their fluttering release schedule. If we got more routine updates and items were priced more fairly, we would see people taking the plunge. To put it another way, I didn't get the cradle because I wanted to see what the next item was. I thought, for whatever reason, Nintendo would at some point add a super high priced item that I wouldn't be able to afford of i bought... anything. This happened, except I didn't like it. I suspect many people feel the same way, especially since platinum status discourages entering 600+ coins a year.

I think the Kirby coin would stick around. It released out of nowhere and it was high enough. Yeah, more people have coins now, but I still think it would have lasted a while.

I'm thinking the same thing. It looks really cool and snazzy, but 1500 seems like a lot. It also says "stands nearly 5-inches." I know from my personal life that "nearly 5 inches" isn't very big. 8-[

Yeah, as much as I like Luigi, love the Mansion games, and think the statue looks neat I think I'm going to end up passing since the 5" thing means that the whole thing's going to be about as tall as this Yoshi on my desk and that Luigi will probably be about the size of a Skylander.

Just used my points on both Mario and Luigi pouches, I'll be kicking myself later if they release CN M and L nunchuks to go with the M&L Wii  remote pluses I have...

Ordered Luigis Mansion statue, NO regrets. Been waiting for something that cool since I joined club nintendo last year. Hell the only 2 things I saw and ever wanted for the last year in a half was the cradle, and the Kirby coin!

I just received my Club Nintendo Calendar and I have never been this disappointed. I thought it would be the size of a normal calendar but I was wrong it is small enough to fit in my pocket.

I hope you're joking. If you don't want the reward then don't take it. They aren't given away for you to profit off of.
Well first off, no need to catch feelings there, kid. It's just a CD or two with music from a video game. Secondly, I'm not looking to "profit" from it because if I was, I would put it up on eBay and take the gamble to see how much I get from it. Third, who are you to tell me what to do with my reward? I've earned my choice like everyone else. Does what I do with my reward impact your life in some way?

My goodness...

Well I'll listen to offers once I have the actual soundtrack in my hands. I'll let everyone know when I have it and will put a post up in the trading forum where it belongs.

To cheer up this thread now, I have some codes that can hopefully boost someone to get either a pouch, or even the statue! Just post which codes you took, thanks!

I was able to snag the very first one posted, v4j-xdwz-h67n-7sa thank you! All the rest were taken. I went bottom up.

Just ordered the Mario hat 3ds pouch. I've been holding on to points and this seemed like a cool collectible. I would rather have something tangible rather than a game download anyway.

This is DISGUSTING. These codes were given to you for YOU to use not to just throw them out there haphazardly.

To cheer up this thread now, I have some codes that can hopefully boost someone to get either a pouch, or even the statue! Just post which codes you took, thanks!

I tried five of them and got either redeemed or invalid messages. Thanks though.

Well I'll listen to offers once I have the actual soundtrack in my hands. I'll let everyone know when I have it and will put a post up in the trading forum where it belongs.
Sounds good, thanks!

As a side note, are all these asshats in here serious? Or are they just trying to troll us hard?
